"Realistically, it probably won't avert a losing season."Rock is on record.Glad he's not suiting up for the team.
Wishful thinking isn't going to help a juco transfer who didn't get a single
offer from a D1 school turn Utah's struggling season around. The Utes will be
lucky to finish above .500 and a 4 or 5 win season is not out of the question.
With all due respect, Rock is one of the so-called experts who raved about BYU's
talent two years ago and told us all Jake Heaps was going to have a break out
season this year and eventually break all the QB records at BYU. As a result,
his opinion of the Utes talent level at QB doesn't carry much weight with me.I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw from Hays on Saturday. He was
playing against one of the best teams in the conference in his first D-1 start.
He took a beating at times and kept getting back up. Yeah, he made some
mistakes, but he still showed more composure and confidence than Heaps. I do
believe Wynn has more football smarts and knows the offense better, but Hays is
tougher and is more athletic. I like our chances of winning 5 of the next 7

quote for Mr. Rock and his article I think. Go UTES and prove him wrong!
Even as a fan of the Cougars this seems like gloom and doom for no reason. I
thought Hays held his own against a good team and can't see the utes losing more
than a couple of their future games. I think Hays has more upside than people
realize and the hard part of the PAC-12 schedule is past.
At what point is someone going to call out Whit for an absolutely horrible
decision to rely on a 155 pound high school QB who added 45 pounds just to look
like he wasn't twelve years old when he was recruited.Where in the
book of recruiting does it say you have to trust your entire football reputation
on Wynn who injured himself in the Spring football game his freshman year just
falling on a ball he fumbled. My 120 pound wife can run faster and
carry more children on her hipthan Wynn can with a football running for
his life when the play breaks down. What was Whit thinking. Wynn is a
Junior. Andrew Luck from Standford is a Junior. Need we say more. Our QB play
has ruined last year and this year also.Want a coach who knows how
to pick talent. Coach Peterson from Boise State. His program has kicked our
behind for as long as I can remember.Whit does not walk on water?
Utah's play for the last 2 1/2 years has been very poor when you take the
cupcakes out of our schedule
