The way these other teams are playing, combined with the way BYU is playing, the only gimmee left in the schedule is Idaho State. They shouldn't look past anybody.

As a Cougar fan I say, "WONDERFUL!"

I want to see the Cougars play against a quality San Jose State team. I want them to go against a quality Idaho team, a quality New Mexico State team, and a quality Oregon State team. TCU and Hawaii will be tough regardless, so if the Cougars end with 8, 9 or (maybe, hopefully) 10 wins, those 10 wins should all be top notch performances.

With the Utes playing tough PAC 12 games week after week, I think it's a very, very good thing for the Cougars to have as many strong, quality opponents as possible.

San Jose State beat Colorado State on the road this week. Their first road win in 17 road games, against the same Colorado State team that last week beat Utah State in overtime.

If the BYU coaches choose Riley Nelson as the starting QB, the San Jose State game will be a good one to see how he performs over four quarters.

"OREGON STATE (0-4) Lost to Arizona State, 35-20. Up next: Saturday at Arizona State (3-1)."

    Typo?
