JJ is an absolute stud that doesn't get the credit he deserves. It is always
"Juice this, Juice that, what about Juice? bla bla bla" but despite
the lack of praise JJ still goes out and does his job. He is a bigtime playmaker
on the perimeter when he has the right blocking in front of him and the defense
is caught off guard. He only really gets stuffed when he runs up the middle or
when the defense expects him to try and run down the sideline and no one is
there to block for him. Despite the fact that he is not a power back, he still
finds a way to run between the tackles when asked, and still drives bigger
players backwards for extra yards at times. I have loved his success story at
BYU and even though this won't be a nationally competitive season for BYU it is
fun to watch some of these guys like JJ succeed and he will be missed when his
eligibility runs out. Let's just appreciate the good win tonight and
worry about Utah State next week you guys. You might feel better by approaching
it that way.
I love JJ's game, mostly. He has a tendency to stutter when he's affronted by a
defensive guy holding his spot, and thus loses at least 2-3 yards that he could
have had if he'd not stuttered.Juice, on the other hand, gets those
yards, because he never stutters. Just gets what he can.
Di Luigi is fun to watch and that is certainly something you want when you
follow a team. He fumbles far to much however.
I don't think he fumbles any more than the average running back though. Every
running back fumbles.
