Love O.S.C., Love the story, Love the object lessons, but who names their kid
I think CS Lewis is nodding his head right now.
Yes, I agree, CS Lewis is nodding his head. If only more of us took the time to
reason things out with our children or grandchildren, used those teaching
moments.But please, J-TX: I am so tired of hearing people berate
others for their choices in naming their children. My son-in-law was recently
in his yard after bring home their new baby boy from the hospital. His neighbor
came out and said, "Did you REALLY name your kid Rider?" My
son-in-law said, "Yes we did." Neighbor says " Well I sure don't
like that name!" Son-in-law said, "Well, he's not your son!"
Neighbor bent his head and turned around and went back into his house. Good
grief, I don't like names like Gertrude or Heathcliff, but I sure don't go up to
their parents and tell them what a stupid name they chose for their child- it is
surely none of my business.
