Under my plan government will expand exponencially and spending, of course, must
increase. Ha ha....ps. like all of my great ideas this deal won't last
and we must act immediately! Hurry hurry....
"Surrounded by teachers, firemen..." If they were real teachers, why
were they not at school doing their jobs? I think they were FAKE teachers
myself, think about what this guy is doing, he is pulling the wool over the eyes
of the American people! His jobs bill is nothing more than another Stimulus
Bill!!! Doesn't anyone see the plan is the same but the language is different!
Stimulus became a "Bad Word" so the Liberals won't use it anymore,
instead they changed the wordage to say "Jobs Bill", who can argue
with that! Yet his first "Jobs Bill", i.e. "The Stimulus
Package" didn't give anyone jobs, the unemployment rate WENT UP!!! It
passed his promised, "Won't go past 8.5% if we pass it now!" It's time
to get rid of this guy and ignore his whining and crying about kiosks and Bush's
fault, and it's those pesky republicans and Tea Party people who are domestic
terrorists!!! Wake up, this guy has done more to raise the debt, and destroy our
economy than anyone of the last Presidents could have dreamed of doing
deliberately! Cut Taxes, Red Tape, and Let Americans get us out of this mess,
"We can't afford political games right now"? HUH? I think he meant
to say, we can't afford to pay for this bill. Or, this bill is going to be a
waste of money, just like the last time we did this.
P.S. He is asking everyone else not to play politics while he is playing
politics. What is the definition of a hypocrit?
Sorry I am not a Union card carrier now believe in them. I love "right to
work" State's. What's in it for me?. Economist and former Secretary of
Labor Robert Reich says that unless the government takes swift and intelligent
action, the number of unemployed could soar from 25 million to 35 million, and
President Barack Obama's jobs plan doesn't cut it. From 1948 until 2010 the
United States' Unemployment Rate averaged 5.70 percent reaching an historical
high of 10.80 percent in November 1982 and a record low of 2.50 percent in May
1953. President Barack Obama's recently unveiled $447 billion job-creating
bill is "a complete joke" and won't work. The package is another
complete Union failure of Keynesian economics and corrupt interventions by the
Union's, and, the GOP or Tea Party plan is no better. Their package, a mix of
tax cuts and other measures designed to spur infrastructure and other
investments, aims to boost employment and ultimately, demand, a key ingredient
missing for more sustained recovery. Boehner says his party is willing to
discuss the plan with the president. I'll tell Boehner this, "crime
pays," if caught, 3 squares and a flop, ok?.
The Tea party will object to every line and stall for default.
To "one vote | 12:02 p.m." have you listened to what Obama wants to
do?He wants to take money away from the SS and Medicare. SS is
already paying out more than it brings in, and Medicare isn't that far behind.
What sense does that make?Second, if you listen to the CEOs, it
isn't taxes that has them so afraid of hiring and expanding. It is the Obama
Administration's thirst for control through regulations that has them scared.
The don't have any confidence that Obama will let them do business as they see
fit.I think that if Obama's job bill consisted of a moratorium for 5
years on new regulations, and possibly retracting some of his newest
regulations, that you would see companies hiring. Also, FYI, it was
the Democrats that objected and stalled and nearly had the US default, not the
this is sort of funny. PASS MY BILL!! PASS MY BILL!!! Never mind that the bill
isn't even written down yet - never mind that no one has read the thing - never
mind that funding the bill is ... well it's NOT funded. Just blindly pass my
bill otherwise you are not patriotic. Obama seems to think he is still on 2009
when he controlled both housed of congress and every bill he put forward passed
without even being read - like Obamacare. The man has NO IDEA how to work with a
system of checks and balances - a republic or democracy. A message to Obama -
people have tuned you out Barack - best to just concentrate on your blame game
re-election campaign because that is about all you have left.
Remember when bo told us if we spent 787 billion that unemployment wouldn't
reach 8%?OOPSWhoever believes him this time around is a
One of two things will now happen. The far right wingers of the Republican
Party will decide to work for the good of the country and its people, in which
case the jobs bill will pass and the people of the country will benefit, OR the
far right wingers of the Republican Party will follow their current tack and
work to water down or defeat the bill -- heaven forbid that President Obama
accomplishes anything -- in which case the people of the country will suffer
even more. I know what I hope happens; I also know what will probably happen.
Business as usual for the far right wingers . . .
Re: one vote | 12:02 p.m. Sept. 12, 2011 "The Tea party will object
to every line and stall for default"The Tea Party sees what is
happening in Greece and doesn't want the same fate to befall us. Since Obama
obviously can't balance a check book the Tea Party was forced to step to the
front of the bus and give him directions. It's not their fault they can lead
him around like a lamb.
BHO: "Pass this bill now, no excuses, no politics, no delays...."Congress: "No way, no how, not another dime!"
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different
result." __ A. EinsteinThe last "spendulus" failed,
what makes anyone think it will work this time? The banks pull the
strings and the puppet obeys. More borrowing, more debt, no results.
I listened to Obama's speach a few days ago, about this Jobs bill. The majority
of the jobs he named would be considered projects, not long-term jobs. Granted,
perhaps the increased purchasing power of the newly employed people would
"stimulate" other companies that are currently struggling, but I did
not hear any kind of long-term solutions in his presentation. He always has a
catch phrase in these kinds of speeches, telling the congress to pass the job
bill and pass it now. I just hope we can hang on by our fingernails until a
more competent president can be elected. I personally have been out of work
since getting laid off my job in July due to a reduction in force caused by the
lagging economy, and I have not yet been able to find a new one. Too many people
chasing too few jobs.
Oops...didn't proofread (which is funny, since that has been my primary function
for many years) my previous post. I meant to say I listened to Obama's
SPEECH...not speach. I'm currently getting $138 a week unemployment. Not much,
but it helps. I have to apply for 4 jobs per week, or have some kind of contact,
such as an interview. I have applied for at least 30 jobs and had 3 interviews,
with one more scheduled for tomorrow. Quite frankly, I'm running out of jobs to
apply for. Due to arthritis and related problems, I cannot work at a job where I
have to stand or lift. I am a great receptionist, and I relate well with the
public. I am also 64, and although age should not matter when applying for a job
a person is otherwise well-qualified for, in truth it does. If 50 people apply
for the same job, which has been happening here, I can't fault the employer for
hiring the younger person. But that doesn't help me find a job. I've also been a
teacher's aide, and have applied for all of those advertised. Something HAS to
turn up soon!
This jobs bill is nothing more than a plan to put more people on welfare or
retirement to take them off of the unemployment rolls. Since we don't have
enough workers to pay for government he has to raise the taxes on the remaining
workers to pay for the new government employees, and it wouldn't be those in the
higher tax brackets. The workers making $100,000 a year are the
middle class, everyone else earning less are in poverty and the majority so they
will be the tax payers. This middle class is what everyone's income should be
based on.Corporations and business don't need money or stimulus,
they are already fat with money. They just don't need workers anymore, not in
america anyway. Our exported technology has robbed us of our jobs.BOA (bank of america) announced today the loss of 30,000 more jobs, a $4.2
billion dollar economic loss. For every job paying $20K/yr we lose $140k/yr to
the economy. And $20k is a poverty job. It's about what every fugitive illegal
alien (50 million of them) keeping an american out of a job cost this country on
a daily basis.
@AmPatriot, if $100,000 is the "middle class" then I guess we are in
poverty. It takes both of us working to earn about $70,000. That sounds like an
awful lot to me, although after taxes, insurance, 401k, etc. the take-home pay
is about $40,000. I can't even imagine having $100,000 a year to work with. That
would be wonderful!! Maybe we could actually get out of debt and be able to
retire before age 80! Seriously! I will be 91 when our mortgage is paid off, so
I doubt it ever will get paid, at least not by us. I truly worry about how we
will meet our obligations when we have to retire. I'm 64, my husband is 58, and
we essentially have almost no retirement savings. A 7-month period of
unemployment 4 years ago took all we had in savings to live on, and it has only
been in recent years that he has worked in jobs that had any kind of retirement
plan. I never have, other than SS. I was mostly home raising our children for
many years. We are very unprepared for retirement.
BO's plan guts the funding for social security - and the demogagues have the
audacity to say it the repubs who want to push granny over the cliff.
Let's look at a real solutions. Cut, the TSA, homeland sec,
eliminate the IRS, have a sweeping 10% tax on earned income. Elminate
welfare and put those types of cases in the hands of local and private entities.
Elminate school grants, phase out social security and medicare. Get rid
of the department of education and the department of energy. The department of
energy was created in the 60's to Elminate our dependence on foreign fuels.
"epic facepalm fail".Do it gradually, or all at once. The
USA can't keep creating redundant useless wasteful programs.
