Maybe the Republican party can get back the two seats they lost due to recall.

All the recall efforts in Sicsonsin have been on the state level. Neumann is seeking a federal office. Nevertheless, if he really is endorsed by the tea-party movement he's lost my vote. Extremists are not what we need right now, from either side, at the state and federal levels. We need people who will put the interests of the American people and this country ahead of their party affilation. We need people who will seek real solutions to our real problems instead of all the partisan pickering and positioning that's been going on the last several years.

"Nevertheless, if he really is endorsed by the tea-party movement he's lost my vote. Extremists are not what we need right now, from either side, at the state and federal levels."

It's this kind of attitude that has gotten us into this mess in the first place. The idea that moderates somehow know what is best for the country and willing to take on the extremists who threaten our nation. You won't listen to or vote for a man because he is associated with the enemy whom you label "extremist."

    That's pathetic!

"We need people who will put the interests of the American people and this country ahead of their party affilation."

I am sure his family shares your belief that he puts his party before them or are they "non-Americans" and not part of the "American people" you refer to?

"We need people who will seek real solutions to our real problems instead of all the partisan pickering and positioning that's been going on the last several years."

You mean like the bickering you are doing? Where's your solution, genius? The real solutions you speak of are the ones you support.

    That's pathetic!

So attitudes like you ascribe to me are part of the problem? Seems like youre doing what you accuse me of doing. If thats what you think I doubt you have a good handle on what the real problems are. I think tea-partiers and some of the other extremists are correct on some issues. I also think left-wing liberals are correct on some issues. But I dont want the cure to kill the patient, which is where I see both of those extremes taking us. Im not claiming to have all the answers. But an open mind and willingness to compromise are definitely part of the solution. The willingness to calmly discuss issues and seek out real solutions is what allowed our great Constitution to be written and ratified. It is that kind of willingness that will lead to the solutions we need today. Not the extremism we are constantly barraged with in todays politics.

The Republicans were up by 1 and on the last play of the game the Democrats fumbled on the 1 yard line. The Unions and Democrats failed in their efforts to gain control of the Wisconsin State Senate and now their busy redistricting.

The Democrats can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back. Oct 26, 2010 Obama to GOP
