One thing you can always cound on at the U is great defensive linemen. It will
be fun seeing them play this year. Should be a real battle between them and
BYU's OL on the 17th.
Agree TJ - BYU usual has some serious beef on the OL and Utah's DL is almost
always solid. I'm excited to see if Utah can get some pressure on Heaps and rush
him into making some poor decisions. If Heaps sits back there with time in the
pocket it could get ugly in a hurry.
Heaps will in trouble on Sept 17 if indeed the Utah D-line is better than the
were last year. In the last game of the reg season in 2010, heaps
was not pressured. Utah had trouble getting past that byu o-line. Even without
the pressure, Heaps had almost identical stats as Jordan Wynn, who only played 3
quarters -hurt. That was only two games ago. Unless heaps is a lot
better than he was against utah last year- byu will loose. That is of course, as
long as the Utah offense can score about 17 points again.
When Utah uses that formation bringing the outside LB's up to the line is when I
think they'll have some success getting to Heaps and other opposing QB's. That
should put some real stress on even the best OL's.Good news about
the new O-lineman.
6 days and life begins again.
The game on the 17th will be incredible. You can cut the anticipation and the
exitement with a knife. Can't wait!
But it was the O-line that was miserable last year, especially in the second
half of the season. That performance against Notre Dame was atrocious.I was at the SDSU game down here in San Diego. A runt little team like that
Aztecs murdered the Utes' line and if it weren't for a few miracles and Wynn's
last good throwing game, the Utes would've lost that one, too.
JCH, but those things did happen. So your point is completely moot. Woulda
shoulda coulda is the mantra of losers.
Can't wait, can't wait.
