Ansah is a freak! I predict an amazing year for this guy as he wreaks havoc on
Our defense will be one of the best in the country.Always is.
So now should we be excited about our defense or worried about our offense? Oh
man I can't wait for the season!
Milldred,I love that Max is proven right every day. I love knowing
his comments bothered you. I love knowing that even seeing the name BYU put you
into a tizzy. I absolutely love it.Thanks!
defense wins football games, getting good field position for the offense,
turnovers, all great teams play great defense.
Mildred is right. bYu's defense is usually the best. All of those sub 4.5 guys
in the defensive backfield to cover the other teams receivers. Oh wait, that is
not bYu's defense, that is the UTES and other teams defense. The Y's DB's are so
slow and are not cover corners that one of them got beat so bad by Apo that he
had to try and jump on his back before the ball got there for a PI. If teams
have a good QB and recievers, the Y's defensive backfield will get torched each
The BYU offense is probably playing against the best defense they'll see all
year - all in practice sessions before the season even starts. As an
observation, isn't it fascinating that Milldred in Fillmore shows up as soon as
Earnest T. Bass disappears. Same lame tactics as well. /facepalm..... so
Hey, I think Mildred in Fillmore is Salt Lake City's most creative poster. The
imitation of over-the-top BYU fans is funny to me, and I'm a BYU fan!
Riley isn't doing himself any favors by wearing a tube top to practices.
Not too great that the defense is having focus issues. Probably means an up and
down season on that side of the ball. Hopefully they find the answer to their
problem soon so they can be consistant through the year.
Offensive line ran wind sprints. The image is startling and hard to conjure. Do
they use a stop watch or an hour glass. At the end of the sprint
there may be a table full of brownies. Don't get in their way.And if
they really are reasonably quick, they do deserve the #10 ranking nationally for
O-lines. Good training for the D-line. Hope it all comes together for a bunch of
pancakes against Ole Miss, Texas and the Utes.
Papasmurfute: "If teams have a good QB and recievers, the Y's
defensive backfield will get torched each time."Well that
eliminates the Y's DB's from getting torched by Utah now doesn't it?
PapaSmurfUte, this is at least the third time I have seen you post the same
comment (slightly different words, but the same content) about teams with a good
QB and receivers will "torch" the Y. Is that all you've got? Please
come up with something new.I will concede that BYU has not exactly
had lightning fast DBs in the past. It appears that they may be getting faster
in the defensive backfield this year. We shall see. Certainly DB is the
question mark for this BYU team. However the front 7 look fantastic! If they
can hurry the QB before his receivers have a chance to get open, then the DBs
don't need to be super fast, just fundamentally proficient. I think the defense
will be pretty good because of this. Probably not top 10, but good enough.
I thought Malosi Te'o transferred to Hawaii last year? I didn't realize he was
still on the Cougar roster this year. Whats the deal?
