Ronald Reagan raised the capitol gains tax to 28%. Now it's 15%. Taxes were raised in 1982. Taxes were raised again in 1993. Both the
mid-1980's and mid-1990's stand as evidence that tax increases to balance the
budget paid huge dividends to fantastic economies. Do we learn from history or
regurgitate what we've been told by our establishment party?
Obama is criticizing GOP presidential hopefuls for no new taxes? Obama just
signed a budget bill with no taxes himself. At least we should give him credit
for telling the Republicans not to call his bluff. Just because they did and
got away with it as many of us predicted would happen doesn't mean the liberals
should abandon him like Ross Anderson just did.
