Sacramento Bees, not Milwaukee Bucks.
Jammer will get jammed up againt bigger competition, just lik he was in the NCAA
tourney, he is no Danny ainge.
Go Jimmer congrats SACRAMENTO
Yeah clearly his track record in the last couple NCAA tournaments says he can't
play in the NBA... Even against Florida he was getting his shots off just fine
he just had a bad night. Jimmer will do fine in the NBA. Keep doubting him if
Consenous national college player of the year, led the nation in scoring,
consensus all American, broke scoring records of the MWC and BYU, has more
awards than I have room to list here and STILL some of you can't believe Jimmer
can play basketball? Most of you couldn't play on a Jr. High and you feel
qualified to judge Jimmer? Why is it that some people who are failures are
irritated by those who succeed?
Look at the bright side maybe he can wear # 32 ..
This is the perfect team for Jimmer to shine. He will find himself at the
starting point guard spot, and will shine. Yet again he will prove the doubters
"Arrival of Jimmer Fredette in Sacramento creates a buzz" but the
article is about Honeycutt & Thomas. How many readers have come to this
article wanting to read more about Jimmer? I'm sure Honeycutt & Thomas are
great players but if I had wanted to read about them, I would have found another
Jimmer will do well. He does not have the pressure of the past on him and can
be a part of a team where he can play fewer minutes and does not have to score
so much. It is disgraceful that some folks would wish this fine young man ill.
I always want good people to do well...we don't have enough of them. Jimmer
Congratulations to Jimmer, Sac. will be a good team for him to get started with,
with Sac. trading Udric , that leaves the starting point guard open for Jimmer
to step in and start. I'm not sure that will happen right at the start but it
could, it looks like the table is set so that could happen. It would be great if
it did. Go get'm Jimmer, prove you can be a pass first point.
Congratulations for Jimmer, have fun best of luck out there!
hmmm, Just don't read Espn ( a partner..right?) today. They article running
today views SAC town as the biggest loser in yesterdays draft.
It seems like their are a lot of opinions out there, so I'll make a
prediction.Jimmer will be fine. People are making too much of his height.
Most of his college career he was having to shed two or three guys under the
basket and still put it in. I don't know if San Diego State, Utah, New Mexico or
Arizona are believers, but they should be. I would not bet against him. Besides
skill, he has heart. You don't teach that. There are many who have talent that
don't succeed. I am betting on Jimmer. I have watched too much of him to bet
Hey deseret news, please tell us what Jimmer had for dinner. Also, does he put
high octane gas in his car? What color socks are his favorite? Does he like crab
Jimmer in college: POYJimmer in NBA: ROYBank it!
You have to be impressed that in the midst of the endless discussion of Jimmer's
"limitations" he remained non-defensive.
Well, for people like myself who don't give a rat's rear about pro basketball,
it does provide a bit of a look inside the NBA when they hire a cool dude like
Jimmer Fredette. How cool is that name? And to be born with it! That's almost
as cool as Broncho Mendenhall being a coach. Some names just scream for that
hedgehog,I think the biggest loser is michigan and the trolls that post
Jimmer will be a good fit on the Kings. Tyreke is a great #2 and DeMarcus is a
scoring big. They should improve this year. They just need a couple more
hedgehog"They article running today views SAC town as the
biggest loser in yesterdays draft."Maybe, just once in awhile,
you could accurately report on a BYU-related article. None of the Sacramento
critics is connected with ESPN. They're all TrueHoop Network writers: Hayes
Davenport, Celtics Hub; Dan Feldman, PistonPowered; and Mark Haubner, The
Painted Area. But, I can see why you admire them so much. They're
just as clueless about Jimmer's NBA career, as a certain prickly critter from
the upper midwest has proven to be about Jimmer's college career.
"They article running today views SAC town as the biggest loser in
yesterdays draft."How's that "English as a Second
Language" class going?
Jimmer will be a good player in the NBA, but I doubt the Kings will win a title
in the next couple of years. They need a lot more pieces.
Oh HedgieYou have been predicting Jimmers demise for a couple years
now.You were not humbled when Jimmer beat Florida in the NCAA
tournament. You were not humbled when he led BYU to the Sweet 16,
without Davies. You were not humbled when the BYU games had the
highest ratings of all games in the NCAA tournament. You were not
humbled when he scored 49 at Arizona, an all time record at McHale and BYU.You were not humbled when he lit up New Mexico for 52 points. You were not humbled when he punked the Utes for 47 points. You
were not humbled when he was MWC player of the year. You were not
humbled when he graced S.I. with two covers. You were not humbled
when he won, not one, but all Six Major National Player of the Year Awards...-Wooden Award-Naismith Memorial Trophy-Oscar Robertson
Trophy-AP Trophy-Adolph Rupp Trophy-NABC TrophyYou
were not humbled when he had his own segment on ESPN for 3 months, leading the
Nation inScoring. And you still don't get it, and once again The
Jimmer will expose your ignorance for the World to see, yet again.
No, Espn actually said that the University of Utah had the worst draft. They
drafted all these new players, and none of them stayed. The over/under in Vegas
is that Krysto is run before Jimmer finishes out his FIRST NBA contract.
The madness of most of the people that post here is comical. It's tragic
actually. Fredette was so much fun to watch, but in the NBA he'll get burned.
Honestly, he is too slow and cannot play one iota of D. Also, his shooting
percentage has been more than suspect in "national" competition games.
The reason why TV ratings are high when BYU plays is because the majority of the
US population hopes that they lose and watch to see if that comes to fruition.
BYU is "popular," actually the reciprocal. My hope is that Jimmer puts
on that Kings jersey asap. Maybe the nation will forget where he attended
school, like they did Danny Ainge after he dawned Celtic green. Good luck
Jimmer.....leave all the crazies that have nothing fun in their lives whatsoever
back in Utah.
@ mgr63,Your post is what's comical.Did you just scan
news articles critical of Jimmer to come up with all those cliches?Okay, Jimmer haters. When YOUR team has a guy who's YouTube channel is hosted
by Sports Illustrated and gets millions of views in a matter of weeks, then I'll
listen to you.Otherwise, tough stuff! Kick and scream in your
version of 4377. We believers won't care.
No one is remotely qualified to offer meaningful predictions re: Jimmer and his
prospects in the NBA unless you have at least studied his performance(s). To
casually watch his footage on SC or on YOUTUBE is hardly adequate to make anyone
an authority. I have carefully watched him over and over. Dude is flat out
amazing! Even against a double he is so smart, possesses incredible natural
ability, and works so hard to get off shots while being supposedly covered. The
teams he worked out for in closed sessions are possibly the only folks who
REALLY have any ability to accurately evaluate Jimmer. SLOW???? No D????? Don't
make me laugh.
