All I can say is congrats to a great coach. I'm looking forward to more great
basketball! Thanks Coach Morrill!
Its too bad he won't take his team to play good teams, he thinks that everyone
should play in Logan.
Thank you, Coach Morrill, for your dedication to Utah State. You're the best
thing to happen to USU athletics in a long, long time.In Stew we
trust! Go Aggies!
big soccerHe went to Georgetown last year with no return game. Most good
teams are afraid to come to Logan. The risk of a loss is too great and that
would look bad to the tournament selection committee. If you don't like it stop
watching them. This is fantastic news for USU. If USU gets an invite to the
MWC in the next year or two he will really be able to move USU to the next
level. They have a higher level of talent coming in this year.
Six years is a good start. Thanks for everything you do Stew!Go Big
TJ,I don't watch them, I just find it interesting that he will play
someone like Georgetown like 1 time every 10 years, he wants home and home, but
sometimes you have to prove you get those teams on the road.
In Seattle, it's Starbucks, to get you through the "bad" weather;in Logan, it's Stew Morrill and Aggie Basketball.
Stew is great!
This is good news for USU. Stew Morrill is doing an excellent job up in Logan.
It is very interesting that someone that does not watch the Aggies cares who
they play! It is great to have such an excellent program that the only thing
bad one can come up with when there is good news in Logan is that the coach does
not want to schedule like a team attempting to move to D-I. When the Utes got
their Pac 10 invite Aggies fans did not find it necessary to make comments like
players playing for three coaches or when BYU won its first game in the big
dance this year there were not comments from Aggies like to bad they will be
playing in high school gyms next season. Someone may be a bit fearful of Aggie
All Ags are bamboozled by this guy. His success occurs because of weak teams.
Stew never challenges himself. He is a good coach but his excuse for not
scheduling great opponents is because they won't come to Logan. Schedule 2 for 1
or more neutral games. I was happy to see Georgetown on the schedule last year.
I know the Ags got torched but that increases their strength of schedule and
makes them a tougher team. Join more high profile preseason and holiday
tournaments With a stronger SOS, USU can get a higher seeding in the NCAA. Stew
knows that his formula for keeping job is to schedule 10 weaklings, play BYU,
Weber and Utah (weakling at the moment) and beT them at home and hope they win
one on the road and win the WAC. (Weak Athletic Conference) Stew keeps the
locals happy with mild success and he signs another contract. Wake up Aggie
The Aggies have a good one here. I've been a Stew fan for a very long time.
I'm sorry, but KamUte is wrong on this. I'm not an Aggies fan, but Stew is a
great coach and a positive force in college basketball.
Stew Morrill is one of the top men's coaches in the country. In his 25 years of
coach he has won 542 games while winning 76% of his games at Utah State. In
regards to Raegan Pebley it is really disingenious to even mention her in the
same article. In eight years at Utah State she has 69 wins and 145 losses for a
31% winning record! This means she has lost nearly 70% of her games and has had
her contract renewed! (Information taken from USU women's website)At her
present rate of winning she will have to coach 63 years to have the same number
of wins as Coach Morill does over 25 years. If the Deseret News is going to
report stats for the Utah State men's coach then it is only fair to share the
honest results of the women's program.
This is fabulous news! Now if the Ags could only get an invite to the MWC
basketball could really soar. The WAC is holding the Aggies back. Whatever
happens, whoever USU plays, one thing is certain. The Aggies will keep winning.
Stew for president!
