The man is smooth as glass and the real deal. IMO, if he can get the support of
just enough of the far right he'll be a real contender. I still think he'd
rather be Secretary of State but if he catches the wave at the right time.....
I don't trust the man. I'd never vote for him in any political office.
With all due respect, considering his 'leaked' letter of adoration to Obama, and
Huntsman's radical environmental agenda a Huntsman Presidency would be nothing
more then Obama 2.0.
With all due respect, the prior Administration made a huge mess of things and
the current Administration was left holding the bag and has had to scramble to
clean things up. It is getting better by almost all indicators as we recover.
I just don't have an expectation that the Republicans will make the investment
in education and infrastructure to make the U.S. even more competitive. We have
to invest, but the only thing the GOP wants to invest in is giving the taxpayers
money directly to the corporate community as another means of making them even
more profitable. Add to this that the GOP will cut off money for infrastructure
or maintenance of prior investments and thus cause the prior investment to be
wasted. This is not visionary leadership and I don't want any more of it.
@ Esquire "the prior Administration made a huge mess of things and the
current Administration was left holding the bag and has had to scramble to clean
things up"If you honestly believe the prior administration made
such a mess, (I believe they did), then why support this administration's
continuation of so many of the same policies? Gitmo, the Bush tax cuts, staying
the course in Afghainstan (with ever-increasing involvement in Libya), the
Patriot Act, bailout of companies, and trillion dollar deficits are a few of the
things that haven't changed. I guess the way you clean up a cluttered house is
to throw everything on the floor so you will have to start cleaning just to get
to the door.
Jon Huntsman JR, is a job creator. He took the State of Utah from a lower ranked
state to number two in the country in Jobs, Governer Herbert because of the
course Huntsman set has been able to keep Utah far ahead of most states. If Jon
huntsman can do this for the country, he is just what America needs. His
understanding of international relations as a diplomat is also a huge plus. I
think he could make a great president.
This man is definitely worth watching. The more he is criticized by both the
left and right fringes the more certain I will be. In my opinion he is uniquely
qualified to be the President of the whole country. He will be a needed check to
both parties even if he is not elected in 2012 - but that is a possibility. I
want to hear more and I think I will like what I hear.
jHe is the ONLY Republican in the race, or speculated to be in the race, who is
qualified and worthy to be president. I really hope he runs.
I don't trust Jon. If he is elected president, what happens when he does the
mid-term dance and resigns the job so he can go play somewhere else? Are we
going to get left with another Gary Herbert at the national level? I hope not.
Much better to keep Jon out of the presidential sand box.
Yes we need a new set of eyes in DC - but we don't need yours there Mr Huntsman.
In my opinion Mr Huntsman is a RINO (Republican in Name Only).
His successes have all come from his father's donations to political parties.
He got jobs in the Reagan Administration because his father made
large donations to the Republican Party. HIs father bought his first
ambassadorship with large donations to the George H. W. Bush campaign. Obama
appointed him ambassador to China for the same reason: donations to the
Democratic Party. And those are the ONLY reasons he has had political
Gro. W. Bush AND his father are responsible for my washer breaking down. When
will the blame game end? G. Bush may not have done everything right, but I
admire the fact that he is a gentleman, does not indulge in pointing out what
Obama is doing wrong, stays in his position as a former president. I do not
recall hearing him speak mean-spiritedly of any in the current regime. When
may we expect the same of Obama? I think two plus years is plenty of time for a
current president to sail under his own colors. I don't see that happening.
Huntsman is a wishy washy poll-driven "moderate" on most issues. His major issue while governor was to sign on to the ruinous "cap
and tax" scheme which will destroy our energy supplies and the fragile
economy, based on "junk science."Huntsman is a pure RINO
driven by selfish goals and a strong ego. A typical politician, not a good
potential President. Secretary of Commerce, maybe. He did do a good
job as Ambassador to China, but the Presidency is an entirely different job, and
he is simply not suited to it by experience, temperament, or principles. No, thanks, I would take any other Republican over Huntsman. If he
really wants to run, let him seek the Democrat nomination as his view are closer
to theirs than to the Republicans.
Well, viewing Republican politics from the left, I think that Huntsman is the
best candidate that the Republican party could field. But Huntsman is not
viable in 2012, it just does not work that way in the Republican Party. He is
setting the stage for a run in 2016 if Romney loses in 2012 -- as he will.
Huntsman is wrong again. Washington DC has more than enough looky-loos, we need
people with spines, attitude, and the Will to enforce this country's laws and
serve its citizens. If you say people instead of citizens of the country anymore
government leaders takes it to mean serving illegal aliens occupying this
country as well.We need spinal independence and courage for leaders
who will put the needs of the country ahead of the needs of business who feed
off of socialism. Workers of a business create a business, and well paid workers
create and economy of many healthy businesses large and small. We
need leaders who will put socialism and humanity back in the hands of religions
and religious leaders. Religions have persuaded our government that humanity and
religious duties are the responsibility of government to pay in the form of
welfare. Welfare it the duty of the religious leaders and members of the
congregation, not government. If an "eye's on government"
approach is the only thing Huntsman has to offer then he is a poor excuss as a
Huntsman a RINO? Good reason to vote for him. We need many more RINOs and DINOs
in Washington. Maybe then we could unite as a nation to solve problems.
Huntsman = RINO. Period.Definitely NOT what America needs. And,
no, Obama's not what we need, either.
