What an incredibly heinous crime. The audacity of this murderer to drown his
drugged wife and let her daughter find her. Apparently angels among us sat her
up in the tub from the submerged location he left her, unless it was her dying
effort to reveal her killer. You can see this killers blind insanity by just
looking at the picture of his mistress, who is no way in reality near the beauty
of the angel he has taken from among us. There is no place on earth or in
heaven for such a despicable person, a doctor no less, a person one trusts and
looks to for compassion. Everlastingly torment is his destiny..
May the family finally find justice.
Thank you for such a well written article. I apppreciate my aunt getting the
attention she deserves! She is the most amazing woman! Her daughters are going
to make sure he is charged with this. They are smart, determined and ABSOLUTELY
wont give up until it is done!
I have been reading the occasional articles that have been in the paper about
this. If true this might be the worst thing I have ever heard of a person doing.
To kill your own wife is just an awful thing. I really can't even describe how
much this disgusts me.
Should his mistress be allowed a plea bargin that basically lets her off the
hook? I don't think so!
From what I have read, this guy is a phony, phony medical degree and law degree.
Why is he being referred to as a doctor and attorney when the degrees were
He clearly has a history of lying and then covering it up.Sounds
like the death penalty option should be put on the table. This is obviously a
well thought out and calculated murder. What a sick person to destroy a human
life that he was suppose to be committed to, whom he had children with.If the evidence shows that he did this. He deserves the death penalty. No
repeals. Don't put him on death row for 30 years. Let him face the same
punishment that his victim had.
I appreciate the comment from "Ute Alumni". Why do the articles keep
referring to Martin as a "doctor and lawyer" when his degrees were
obtained fraudulently? I think it is long past due now that the wording change
to reveal the truth of his character of which I have always known and have it
read something more along the lines of "phony doctor and lawyer".
Take away those titles that were never his to begin with. By using those titles
over and over it is only adding to his ego. I can't figure out either why
after learning this news, of which was known and felt by much of Michele's
family for years, why nothing happens to Martin for that alone? He should be
put away forever for that alone. Seriously, I mean treating patients without a
medical degree? I guess it is OK to "play doctor?" Of course when it
comes to Martin I have found over the past 30 plus years everything has a
different set of rules.
@ jane I totally agree with you. She shouldn't walk away from this. She was an
accessory. She had many chances to put a stop to it before it happened and might
have been able to save Michele's life. She is just as guilty.
I'm always amazed to hear of a mistress who, knowing the guy killed his wife to
free himself up for her, is willing to stay involved with him. What is to
prevent him from some day growing tired of her and bumping her off as well?
I wonder how this has not come to light earlier when the daughter and husband
statements differ. I also believe that his lover should be held accountable
also. The death penalty should apply to the both. I further believe that the
sentence be carried as quit as possiable and not drugged out over 20 or 30
years. If he took his wife's life the way he did and then made false statement,
and is a known liar that show the same.
I saw a story about this on Dateline(?) recently and I was amazed that this was
not investigated better from the start. The daughters were not listened to from
the beginning. Their mother should be very proud of them for continuing to try
to get some justice. I hope they never give up the fight. It must be hard to try
and get your Father on charges of murder but atleast they know right from wrong,
even though he didn't.
Duh!!!! this one is a no brainer.
As I see it, this is a sobering illustration of the fine line and close
relationship between a wantonly lying nature and ultimate depravity, such as we
observe with this murderer, and also observed with Mark Hofmann, and Mark
Hacking.Unbelievably cold-blooded and premeditated. I hope this is
taken into full consideration and that he is charged accordingly and that
justice is served.
