We really should have won at stadio azul. It would be so sweet to shut up the
mexican press and beat Monterrey.
James Edward, Dude, they've already made history by getting this
far. They're already incredible as it is.
Even though RSL has already made history in this tournament and made it farther
than any MLS team before, it is still hard to take if you make it all the way to
the final and lose. It will be tough, trying to play in the heat with the crowd
against us, and history not in our favor. I think if any team can it would be
RSL though. I am crossing my fingers and 8:00 will seem to never get here today.
Tonight RSL can make a statement. They are in form to do it.
Good luck RSL. The crowd will be tough. I was in Mexico City during the 2006
World Cup. They love their soccer and some harbor a deep seeded animousity
towards the US. Stay focused and just do your thing.
Too bad not may will be able to watch this game, as big as it is. Most people
don't get Fox Sports Channel and many that do probably have no idea that they
do, let alone be able to find it.
All of the true fans know where they can watch this game. For those that don't
have fox soccer channel, or Telefutura, there are plenty of places showing the
game, and we all know about them. You can also watch the game online for
free. The only people that won't know where it is at are the ones that
really don't care one way or the other how the game goes.
On comcast, the Fox soccer channel is 401. I watch it most saturdays for the
Italian and English leagues.
three11stu,There are many fringe fans that would like to watch the
game but aren't going to make that extra effort to find it. If soccer wants to
become as popular as the big three (NFL, MLB, NBA), or even as popular as the
NHL, it's going to need to be available to more people that would want to watch.
Hard to win over fans if they can't see it.And another thing, if
this is so huge, why isn't ESPN televising it? They do the MLS Cup.
Should be interesting to see if we attack right away or play it safe and defend.
I predict 2-1 REAL.
Without beating Monterrey all of this "1st haves" and headlines will
be quickly forgotten. While they have accomplished a lot already nobody will
remember (other than us RSL fans) unless they do it all.
Does anyone know how I can watch this game tonight? I have a standard comcast
cable package and don't get fox soccer but I'm still dying to watch.
Naked Truth:I agree with you 100 percent. The television deals that MLS
has is complete crap. The reason that ESPN doesn't show the game is that Fox
Soccer has the rights to the Champions League, and unfortunately, hardley
anybody gets Fox Soccer Channel. Even the local games being on 2.2 is a joke,
with hardley any HD games. For those that don't have Fox Soccer Channel,
the game is also on Telemundo, you can find it on line on the Champions League
website (for free) or you can go to some places that are going to be showing the
Go to Telefetura or watch it online for free at the concacaf.com website. It is
under the video tab on the top of the screen. Also ESPN does it have it on their
channel because they don't own the rights to the CONCACAF Champions League. Fox
Soccer Channel does.
The game will be available online if you can't watch it on Fox Soccer. 8
o-clock can't come fast enough right now. Really hope we can get a good result.
I may be the only one but I really like watching these games on FSC. The HD
picture is great and the analysts actually understand the game. No offense
I cannot wait to see Real Salt Lake take down Monterrey. Telefutra is channel
619 on Comcast and just about everyone who has Comcast gets it so most people
should be able to watch the game. Less than 45 minutes until game time, GO
