I've heard about this guy a couple times. Sounded like an awesome addition to
the Ute team and program. Awesome that he could get involved like that and do
something he loved.
Wonderful. It sounds like such a positive thing all around.
I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Jay Rudd. What a great experience for
an exceptional person. It is inspirational to hear stories of the
beauty that sports can bring into individual lives.
My sincere condolences to the Rudd family. It's stories like this that remind
me that in the end, we're really all on the same team, and acts of goodness and
kindness need to be celebrated no matter which color of shirt we wear.
My heart goes out to Jay's family and the Utes. RIP Jay!
My aunt, who had downs syndrome, died last month. Like most people with downs
she was a complete joy to be around with an unconditional love for people. I
think this is a wonderful story about how one man, Jay Rudd, could influence and
bring joy to an entire group of people. I am sorry to hear he has passed on and
my condolences go out to all who knew him.
My best to Jay's family
Great job Utah, Whit and all. This is how it is supposed to be, classy, more to
life than winning loosing. We have two high schools down here that have
displayed that type of outreach to special young men. The fans, coaches and
players of the opposing teams have shown great spirit and support as well.Best to Jay's family and our prayers are with them. God bless.
Today I send this comment from my entire family. Collectively we offer our
sincere regards and heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. Rudd. We are
indeed saddened by the loss of this friend. Our family and friends today are
somewhat uplifted knowing that perhaps Mr Rudd can rest easy, and with a smile
from within, knowing that he had so many friends. We also send our special thank
yous to the coaching staff and players of the University of Utah for adding more
purpose and intrinsic happiness to this man and his life. Personally
this story reminds me once more that Coach Whittingham is not just a coach but
also a compassionate humanitarian. I commend him for granting Mr. Rudd hands on
personal involvement in the football program up on the hill. Happy Trails
Jay. Thank you again.Indeed, it's good to be a UTE !
First off my thoughts and prayers are with all of those who are suffering from
the loss of this exceptional individual. This story made my day to find out
about such great acts of kindness and love between Jay and the U of U Football
team. In a day and age when the news usually pulls ones spirits down this was a
much needed boost to me. Thank you.
I met JRUDD at a practice last year. I loved seeing his passion for Utah
football. Rest in Peace.
Very cool - as the Father of a daughter with DS, it's heart warming to see
classy comments across the board.RIP JRUDD....
Hey Jay, enjoy your time back home with Heavenly Father. You deserve it. We all
miss you bro.
Hats off to the Ute football program for all they did to bring a measure of joy
for this young man and his family! My condolences to the family and
the team for their loss.
