Good luck Terriers. Chances are you won't need it.

    Been watching the games today...

I do think BYU will win.

    But it's march madness...

    Let's see what happens!

Congratulations to San Diego State -- they are on their way to Round 2. Way to represent the MWC.

So far sunday school boys look very much the #14 seed.

Look for Wofford to pull away by 12 at the half and never look back.

It was clear this team was overrated and would eventually be exposed. Wofford dominating both ends right now 17-14.

As expected, tds shooting around 25%. No one knows how to choke like the tds.

I want to see the refs open their eyes! Half the shots BYU has taken, they have been fouled.

Can someone explain the thinking behind allowing Davies to sit with the team. I'm not asking as a cynic but I can't understand why he's not allowed to represent the team on the floor but he's ok to represent them on the bench. It was my understanding he was kicked out of school. I'm just wondering the logic behind it.

Early on, the trend is clear. Once BYU starts pulling ahead, the whistles come out.

Granted, BYU is shooting very poorly so far and have made some lazy passes (Collinsworth especially). But when Jimmer can get jumped on and there is not call? Come on. 13-6 difference in fouls right now.

Diddy: Davies has not been kicked out of school.

But it's interesting you got a recommendation for that comment. Chris B?

My guess is the POY award will go to someone who takes his team to the second round.

Congratulations Kemba, Jared, or Nolan. One of you deserve it.

    Final Score:

    Wofford 72
    other school 64

    Mark it down!

The refs haven't been great but the Cougs have no one to blame for the close game but themselves. Lots of stupid shots. With Abouo back in next half we should play better than we did with Anderson in there!

    3 seed?

@NevadaCoug It's an honest question. The rationale I've heard is that when you're at BYU you're representing the faith. Isn't sitting on the bench representing the faith. There are athletes on the bench in uniforms that are on the team that are "representing" the faith as much as he is right now.

    What's the thought here Nevada?

Diddy - he was not "kicked" out of school. He was suspended from the team and since it was not due to anything illegal or breaking of NCAA rules he may travel and sit with the team. I am glad the team is allowing him to be with them...after all he helped get them this far.

    Go Cougars, Go Aggies!

I feel like he's representing the team just the same by sitting on the bench. I too am glad he's allowed to be there. I'd prefer he were allowed to play. There are other guys on that bench that haven't gotten the camera time he has during this game. Why not let him have a jersey and play. He's definitely representing!

He cannot play, he is suspended from playing. The representation, however,is that the team nor the school are turning their backs on the young man.

    Ok eating crow....

I'm still not impressed. Looks more like a middle of the PAC(oh wait, WCC) team.

St Johns or Zags to the sweet 16.

    "Final Score:

The Troll was actually pretty close. Just two points off for each team. Oh, yeah...not to mention that little problem with having the teams reversed.

Not a pretty game. I really thought the officiating was the worst part of it. Abouo should have actually fouled out a whole lot earlier on a foul on a rebound. But then when he did foul out, it was on something that I thought didn't exist. It was like that all game. Refs were calling the ticky tack stuff, ignoring a lot of the hard stuff. Definitely not an 'A' game for the officiating crew.

In the end, I'm happy with a win, no matter how they got it. They really need to play a whole lot better next game.

And just imagine how many assists Jimmer would have had if other guys had hit more shots. He ended up with 8, but could have had a lot more than that.

30 pts, 8 assists, 4 boards. Not bad.

Thanks for another vote of confidence Chris and Hedge, I always enjoy reading your comments. As much as I'd love to see the Cougars take it all, you'll probably get at least one prediction right this year so don't give up.

We dominated this game against a great opponent in Wofford. One down, many more to go.

    @ Chris B:

Utah is not only not in the middle of the PAC, they lost to all the WCC teams they have played this year.

Despite the foul trouble, and some of the turnovers, there were some encouraging signs today. Hustle by Collinsworth, rebounding (although Wofford is smaller that most teams the Cougars will play), Logan hitting open shots. It was great to see everyone going to the basket more.

    Go Cougars!
