Good move on the President's part.I had a hunch that's why he sent
Gov. Huntsman to China - put him below the radar.Taking out 2 viable
candidates - leaves him with a perfect GOP lunatic line up.Huckabee
and Palin in 2012.Should be one of the easiest re-elections in
"Should be one of the easiest re-elections in American politics." Say What? ???Apparently you have been paying attention to the world
lately? The US and world economy sucks. The government went further in debt in
February than in all of 2007. Listed unemployment is at 9% actual is more like
15-18%. The people don't want Obama care. Also Obama hasn't kept lots of
big promises such as turning the economy around, closing Gimto, getting out of
Iraq and the Middle East. And he has failed miserable in other area huge
platforms aboard and at home such as Pakistan, Iran, Egypt and North Korea,
Libya, the economy, creating jobs (let along saving any), 2010 midterm
elections, etc- etc- And those are just the things I can think of off the
top of my head. I'm sure there are 100's more that could be listed. Are you
and the country better off now than when Pres. Bush was in office?Sure it
will be an easy re-election. NOT.
@ST: you missed @LDSLiberal's point. It's not that Obama's record is so great,
it's that the Republican party can't put up a better candidate than Huckabee,
Palin, or Gingrich. This is the same thing that happened in 1996, when Dole and
Gingrich were it.Re-election will be easy if all the viable
Republican candidates are marginalized. And the Republicans do a great job of
that during the primaries.
You have to respect any honest person who enters the murky, muddy waters of
politics. They are likely to get some of it on them. Lamentable.
The GOP does not have a chance.
