Mitt Romney has flip flopped so many times, would he actually make a good
president?? Im voting my conscience, the GOP fights big spending now? It was
only 2 years ago that Bush was spending like crazy?
Looks like our Presidential hopefulls will be hopeless again. Huckabee vs
Obama. Looks like another 4 years of Obama. Huckabee is facist. He wants to
force concervatism like Chris Butters. He will destroy concervatism as we know
it. Ronald Reagan will continue to be the last good president and true
American president our country had.
To "goinoutwestt": if you think Mitt's "flip-flops" should
keep him out of the White House, then Obama had better start packing his bags!
His "change we can believe in" is his changing positions on just about
every policy. Check out Politico's article "The Obama flip-flops you don't
know." Well, now you know!
@goinoutwestt.... Holy cow, your material is old, tired and boring.... Romney
changed his position on abortions.... That's it.... Get over it... Better yet,
read his book, at least your criticisms will sound more intelligent.
I don't want another Bush, Huckabee, "Southern" good ol' boy to be
president. The South doesn't represent what the rest of the nation wants. It's
a different culture. I use to live in Alabama and you feel like you're living
in another country.
The "big" problem that the republican party has ,is they have no one
to run that people like or trust! What about Palin, maybe Limbaugh, or how about
Glen Beck? Gingrich anyone, oh what about Ron Paul or maybe his son? Oh well
sometimes things just don't add up do they?
So, Romney's creepy. We all get that. However, I'm not impressed with the
Deseret News. For this story, they show a photo of him that makes him look a bit
goofy - while showing a more flattering picture of Huck. This isn't the first
time. Come on Deseret News... I'm not defending him, but I don't like what
In 2008 the mainstream press would typically bury any Romney story deep in the
news, while purposfully positioning McCain front and center. Why? Because they
realized Romney posed the most serious threat as an experienced and highly
qualified candidate that could and probably would keep Barack Hussein Obama in
the Senate. McCain was simply a Republican stooge who didn't have a chance of
being elected. Huckabee is in the same camp as McCain. He appeals to the
Arkansas faithful and to some of the southern electorate, but is perceived by
most Republicans nationwide as a bit of an odd duck and certainly not capable of
unseating Mr Obama in 2012. Any "news poll" in which NBC participates
in is suspect on it's face value anyway.
I'm sometimes not a fan of the Mormons but I would take Romney gladly.
We are a nation of 300 million people. How is is possible that people like
Huckabee and Obama could possibly be considered for this job? I doubt that
Romney will even come close to getting the nomination. If he were a protestant,
he would be a dead lock for the Republican nomination and probably president.
Yes, he has flipped on the abortion thing, but people aren't as concerned about
that right now. I just can't believe a serious voter could watch Huckabee
strumming his guitar on FOX and think, "That guy would make a great
president!" How is this possible?!
I'm not sure Mitt is on a first name basis with a single poor person, while
Huckabee, from Arkansas, must know at least a few. His completely made up
history of the Obama family on the radio the other day, though, was pretty
scary. Not only did Huckabee imply that Obama had spent part of his childhood in
Kenya (completely untrue), but used that "fact" to explain OTHER
untruths about him. A Democrat who tried such nonsense would be laughed out of
the campaign before it even starts, but today's GOP is a little light on facts
and doesn't even care.
Don't count Romney out. The biggest electoral voting block is not Huckabee's
Dixieland, but the nationwide Independent voters. And they want Mitt over
Huck.It will be about the economy, stupids. By the time our economy is
fully tanked, even the ghosts of the confederate greycoats will come out of
their graves to vote for the Mormon candidate. My deceased father's uncle was
once a congressman from upstate Michigan in the 30s. He used to say,
"people ultimately vote their pocketbooks."
Huckabee in a phony. He does not represent any large majority, thank goodness.
I do not believe the polls. He is also a basher as he could not stop
criticizing Romney in the past presidential debates of the candidates. Romney has more savvy than Huckabee. Granted they were both governors,
but Romney had it together and has more business sense. That makes a difference.
Do not underestimate Romney and his helping those who are poor.
Besides, his religious persuasion should never be an issue, and Huckabee is
unwilling to stop criticizing the LDS Church, when he mocks Mr. Romney, which
shows he has no class at all. Romney has class. No contest there in comparison
Huckabee has no economic experience/background, Romney is one of the most
educated/intelligent and well spoken men you will ever find and has a proven
track record with running successful companies, turning around a broken state
economy and working well with the most liberal state/citizens in the nation.
Huckabee is an anti-mormon bigot that has no real accomplishments
and only rallies the southern baptists in large numbers as his base. The NY
Times probably polled liberals who they think should run against Obama for this
poll. I have seen totally skewed polling data from them about 90% of the time,
so just wait for some more accurate polls. America just can't be that stupid to
really want Huckabee vs. Obama for the top office!
Enough about how great Mitt is and how bad Huckabee might be. Outside this
state (sorry Dorothy this is not Kansas anymore) people have opinions. They
know that Mitt has run some of his companies into the ground to make others look
better. He has sunk to the level of most other GOP's that stand on
the sidelines and criticize. Not one idea has he put forth to help the country
in its current dilemma. Supposedly he is going to be the leader but instead he
joined the bashers of Obama. Has it helped yet?I would say our
entire GOP party has spent the past 2 years with little to no preparation.
Huckabee and Romney hate each other and that has not changed. Who will we elect
now?Our party and now the country is in a pickle and as near as I
can see we did little to change the path or direction we are heading. I would
not vote for either of these two men, based upon their records.
Huckabee, Romney??? Another 4 years of Obama!
To B from Logan . . .who "just can't believe a serious voter could
watch Huckabee strumming his guitar on FOX and think, 'That guy would make a
great president!' "Well, they saw Bill Clinton playing his
saxophone and, hey, look what that did for America!
