Lee's first address to the caucus: "What Mr. Scalia and I want you to think
about the Constitution".
Good move. Lee remembers who got him there, and what his constituents want. It
is not more "go along to get along with the good old boys" like our
overly senior Senator behaves. It is going to take some brave men and
women willing to take a lot of abuse if we are to salvage our country from the
unsustainable spending habits and refusal to face reality that has been the
hallmark of Congress until this year.Go, Mike Lee, lead on!
Is he a Republican party Senator or a Tea Party Republican? I love how the Tea
Partiers distance themselves from the Republican party, unless it is in their
own best interest to align with them. What a bunch of blowhards.
Lee has just proved himself to be a RINO. It shames me that he is a senator
from my state.
Why not just form a new party? Obviously the tea party is a subset of the
Republican Party, and the mainstream GOP has co-opted the tea party. Tea party
folks don't like to hear it, but they are being used. Tea party, stand on your
own two feet. Put yourselves out there and let the voters choose instead of
hiding under the skirts of the Republicans. Until you do it, the GOP will be a
battleground and never provide a coherent philosophy to lead. What a joke.
Hatch's job is safe. In his first few days, Lee has proved crazy enough that
Utah will elect a rational Senator to balance their crazy one.But
then again, it shouldn't take special interest groups too long to geld the crazy
out of Mike Lee and add another puppet to their collection.
It would be comical if it wasn't so pathetic as we watch Lee (fric) ride the Tea
Chicken Little PARTY's gravey train, while (frac) Hatch in a panic frenzy tries
to climb aboard. The Tea thing is already starting to come unraveled and soon
will join the likes of the Birchers and the rest of the paranoia troubled
The "Tea Party" should form its own separate party with its own
separate caucauses. The fact that Lee ran as a Republican but is
really a member of the secret combination called "Tea Party"
demonstrates his dishonesty. And I thought Tea Partiers were big on
having honest people in public office?
Four Senators showed up today for the Tea Party Caucus. What a mandate!
