You boys battled today. Obviously things need to be changed - but I saw heart
out there today, perhape more than all season.
They need those hearts to get them some points! Nice to see SDSU isn't
unbeatable, though. Here's looking forward to Tues!!
Encouraging day for UteNation. Langi commits in football (GREAT get BTW -
seriously) and the Runnin' Utes give SDSU a handful.Enjoy the rest
of the weekend, because things will NOT be quite so much fun Tuesday night.
Jimmer and the boys were a little distracted today against AFA, maybe suffering
a little letdown after the UNLV Vegas beatdown. But I guarantee you,
the Cougs will be laser-focused and ready to run Tuesday night, and it's not
going to be pretty for those wearing red.As Chris B likes to say:
'mark it DOWN, you heard it here FIRST.' LOL
This season is getting ugly real fast.
BYU won't be as sloppy. Please get some "fans" for the next game.
I agree with Y4LYFE, you really need to get some fans to show up! ! ! What is
sad is that a #6 team in the Nation shows up to play and about 5 or 6 fans are
there. Boy is that going to look bad when they go into the Pac 12 and no one
shows up for the games. Football and Bball will be funny to see with hardly any
fans in the stands... oh wait, we won't see them on TV either. Oh well, it will
be fun to look at the photo's in the paper...if the photographers decide to show
up. Since they are getting paid to be there they probably will, but with the
rest of the ute fans, having to pay big bucks, will probably sit in their
parents basement and channel surf looking for the game.
Maybe langli can play basketball. No one else at utah seems to be able to.
Don't know what game chris was watching but the few minitues I saw of the second
half I saw a lazy unmotivated zone defense stand around as SDSU blitzed the
basket. NO HEART, NOT MUCH SKILL!I predict that u won't win 10
during the regular season.WRITE IT DOWN!
No such things as morale victories. There is not a good product on the floor.
Poor planning equals poor performance. There was never a doubt. The Aztecs
looked as if they could turn it on at any moment and were toting with our junior
Funny thing, I agree with Chris B on this one. The Utes hung in with SDSU...Foster was a defensive monster in the middle today.KamUte, I
agree there are no "moral victories", however the Utes looked better
today than any other game this season. They just need to stop playing
to keep a game close, and start playing to win.
Closer than I thought it would be. Moral victory?
Mr defibman - You're obviously the one in his parent's basement - in Syracuse no
less. It is not surprising that there was no one at the basketball game today
because the Utes are not fielding much of a team - and the women were on TV.
But football is another matter or maybe you haven't noticed - from your basement
- that nearly every game is a sellout and with standing room only. And - I
don't think it will be much of a problem to find the Utes on TV next year on
ESPN and Fox - do you think you can do it?
Carlon Brown and Marshall Henderson are breathing a serious sigh of relief that
they didn't come back to this disaster.
Well, the "pretender" actually made a non-inflammatory comments, but
I'm STILL taking back my name! Anyway, was pretty happy with the
effort in the first half. Still need some 'finishers' and some coaching with
the talent we have. We're still a LONG way from reaching the top in the
conference (SDSU, Y, UNLV), but the effort here showed that it's not all lost.
We have more rough hills to climb though. Realistically optimistic. Our
potential remaining victories may not show up in the W-L column. The coaching, however, still has got to go...
Yeah, I actually think there ARE moral victories (well, maybe 'morals' or
'morality' has nothing to do with it), but the effort shown in this game was
impressive. They hung in there hard, but some bad choices got made, some
suspect coaching decisions, and overall, what has GOT to get fixed is the
"5 individuals vs. 1 TEAM" approach to play. There just seems to be a
real lack in cohesiveness in the approach to the offense. I still drop that
problem right at the coach's feet. Evidently, he's not fixing it.
For this sorry program, moral victories are important.
This was the first I'd really watched Utah this year. Utah does have some
players at gaurd and wing to compete at a higher level, that is, beat the San
Diego's, Portlands, and Hawaii's of the college ranks. However, the bigs are
terrible!I know Foster was a beast blocking shots in the middle but
the problem here is SDSU gets the rebound and scores on the second shot. Utahs
defensive rebounding is non existant.Utahs offense is solitary to
say it the best. Its one on one and sloppy at that. They could be better than
they are but they are all out for themselves. The entire coaching staff needs to
be gone.As for the cougs, Jimmer is a freakish talent, and they have
the most underrated gaurd around in Jackson Emery. That said, they still lack
the bigs to ultimately make it deep. SDSU will win the conference because of
their bigs.Utah can play byu tough, but ultimately byu will win by
10-12. Utahs recruiting will go to another level soon. They need a coach to grab
the good Utah talent as Majerus did...Go utes
Things are pretty dismal when a top ten team comes to your gym and nobody shows
up.Please wear some red on Tuesday.
