How nice it will be when the word 'none' no longer is the answer behind the TV
Great programs succeed with stars and without them.
Both Dougway and Y4LYFE are correct! Also, I am going to suggest again that no
one react or reply to Chris B. or Hedgehog when they post on articles. All they
are looking for is attention with their remarks. If you want to really upset
them, do not respond to them.
I'm happy for these players. It was great to watch them play here in SoCal,
against UCLA.I just hope they can now step up their rebounding game. This
is the teams achilles heel. If they want to beat the big boys, in the playoffs
in March, they have to rebound. Otherwise, they will get bumped off, either in
the first game, or second one.I wish them well.
Very well written article. Jimmer is a great guy and this BYU team is a stand up
bunch of guys. What a great team and one of the best coached teams in America. I
wish the best for BYU and hope the Nation takes notice of Jimmer and gives him
what he has deserved National Player of the year! Go BYU, go Jimmer! You have to
really respect this team and Jimmer for putting the team first. For BYU to be
successful he will need to continue to do what he does and put up 25-30 a game!
I have tremendous respect for the other players on this BYU team. Most teams
struggle when one guy is singled out. Egos get in the way. I think it reflects
well on their maturity and characters that this has not been the case here. Go Cougs!
What lonestar means is there is no way to win an argument when myself or others
prove that byu will never again be a national power in any real sport. With an
all american and basketball supposedly at a peak the best they have to show is
one tourney win in 20 years. Some program. Utah will win 10 more bcs games and
make it to 10 more final fours before byu does either. Anyone disagree? Both
football and basketball have boasted powerhouse programs recently and what do
you have to show for it? No big league invite, one ncaa win, las vegas bowls,
no bcs games, no undefeated seasons. If you haven't done anything noteworthy in
20 years where is there logic to suggest anything noteworthy will happen in next
twenty years? None. I am ok with some down ball years because we have proven
time and time again that our up years dominate anything tds could hope to
I like hedgehog and Chris B.'s posts. If a U grad like me ever forgets just why
I'm a Cougar fan, they remind me.
Well done on this article but I like to give a lot of credit to Jackson Emery
for his tough defense which he is Prince of theif. Great team chemestry only if
they focus together. One more non conf game and on with next Wednesday for a
Jim, another insightful article. Well done, my friend.
Best of luck to BYU B-Ball from a Ute fan (as I know my team stinks in B-Ball at
the moment so I may as well appreciate a good team even if it isn't mine).
utah is a joke in both BB and Football the uties will never see any further
national recognition will wallow in the basement of the pac 12.
I have enjoyed watching BYU more this year than ever and hope that they will
prove the critics wrong by doing well in the NCAA's. I also think Jimmer may be
the most gifted BYU player ever....including Danny Ainge. However, I would stop
short of calling him a "team player". He regularly dominates the ball
and takes questionable shots. His field goal percentage is not that great for an
All- American and he dribbles way too much. His teammates are to be commended
for being so patient. Jimmer will have to work a lot on sharing the ball and
defense if he wants to have any kind of NBA career. I have watched Steve Nash
closely since his rookie season and know you Utah people love John Stockton.
Jimmer has a lot to learn before he is compared to either.
Class comment Rock of the Marne.Utah doesn't stink, they are just a
little lost. Sometimes an AD needs to be held accoutable for his decisions,
especially if he cannot recognize the problems and make the needed changes.I no longer blame Boylen, as he is probably doing his best. It's Dr.
Hill's problem now.
i can't wait but i have to until i can see the cougs on tv again! been awhile.
this team is a fun group to watch, they're quick, they can run, jump, and
shoot...too bad some decider wouldn't let me see some games on the tube. go
I have a lot of respect for Jimmer, even though I think he has a horrible first
name. He'll be a good shooter in the NBA, but probably nothing more. Good luck
to the Cougars come March and April.
