    Richardson`s little publicity stunt.
The Kid was a nasty little loser/killer.

Richardson is a joke. Had Billy the Kid been Pancho Villa, he would have pardoned him in a nano second. What does Billy the Kide have to do with New Mexico anyway? Come on man!

This whole thing is a sad commentary on our current popular culture who through a movie like "Young Guns" we can make a cold blooded killer a cult hero worthy of a pardon.

William Bonney has an honorable reputation amongst many northern New Mexico Hispanics. He single handedly tried to fight corruption in this state. He was just the fall guy for several dirty politicians. He was the song of a single parent that was on the wrong side of a range war. Many people feel he was promised a real pardon by Govenor Lew Wallace. He deserved that pardon from our own former corrupt to the core Governor Bill Richardson.
