Great to have Memo back. It will take him a while to get back into the flow I'm
sure. And the rest of the team will have to adjust to him. In the end we need
him for the playoffs.Sad that Evans is the one placed on the Inactive
list. Hayward is definitely the most useless player on the team right now. I
think he could benefit from some D-League time. Let him build his confidence
back up because he clearly has none right now.
Unbelievable that Evans would be placed as inactive over Hayward. Did nobody
watch that Warriors game?
Super, I hope he stays well.
YES!!!!!!! However, I do believe it should be Hayward and not Evans on the
inactive list. Go Jazz!!!!!!!
Why on earth would they put Evans on the inactive list???
Glad to see Memo back!! Hopefully with Sloan picking Evans to sit tonight will
give Hayward the confidence he's lacking right now... I think putting Evans on
the Inactive list is more of a tryin to get Hayward going type move. Hayward
does have the Potential to be a good player.
If he plays tonight, he is waaaaay above schedule of a typical rehab from an
achilles tear. It sounds like Okur has been working hard, but I really hope
we're not rushing him back too soon. We need Okur for the long-term, not for
spot minutes in the annual Christmas road trip. Here's hoping he
really is ready to go! Welcome back, Okur!
Great to have Memo back. I look at this roster we have and one thing that sticks
out like a sore thumb is the log jam we have at the 4-5 spots. Having a log jam
of bigs in the NBA is not a bad thing, but not having a solid starting shooting
guard that van defend the perimeter and giv3 you 15+ points a night is a glaring
hole. I like Raja Bell, but he is past his prime at the age of 34 and should be
coming off the bench. I still think this Jazz team needs a guy in the back court
to help the scoring load the D-Will has been baring. Obviously Hayward is not
the answer and Bell is a bandage covering the sore spot on this roster. The
reason the Jazz have not been getting the rebounds is because teams pack the
paint and don't respect our shooters. I think having Memo back will help draw a
big out of the paint to guard him, so hopefully Memo can get back to
"Money" form from outside! Keep working hard, GO JAZZ!!
Much rather have Evans than Hayward. Evans is just plain fun to watch.
Why put Evans on the inactive list while keeping Hayward active? That seems so
confusing to me. We have Memo now, so we don't need Hayward's airballs anymore.
Send him to Orem to get his confidence back. Let Evans play!
Neither one will get amny minutes now so it is a mute point. With Memo back I'm
more concerned about our rotation and flow. Is he #1 or #2 off the bench for
the forseeable future given how Milsap and Big Al have played. I think he comes
in before anyone else (to include Miles) but those 3 will split the majority of
big men minutes. One thing is certain is 1-7 on this team is probably deeper
than any other team. Miles and Okur can start on several teams in this league
and having them both on the 2nd team makes the 2nd team nearly as good as the
first team. Hope he has his shot still!
I think that they team isn't sure if Raja is really fully healed. If he isn't
able to play his normal minutes they need Hayward to fill in is minutes, it is
about position that they play. Because clearly Evans has played the best out of
the two rookies.
I find it extremely refreshing to see someone want to "give it a try"
instead of waiting till they feel they are 120% healthy (not naming names, but
it rhymes with loser...)
I have a feeling he isn't rushing anything. I hope he stays healthy.
The best of luck Memo !!!! Take it easy man, nice n slow, there is plenty of
time to get back to full speed...
glad to have memo's shot back...but I like Els, Fess & Jeff on D!
Anyhow....glad to have the Moneyman back. I hope Sloan just blends him in
lightly off the bench. Maybe for a few of AK's minutes
Insane to inactivate Evans instead of Hayward. Typical Sloan, would never dream
of using a 'big' lineup or anything unusual that might force the other team to
adjust, gotta go 1-2-3-4-5, by the book.
I fear the Jazz may have fallen into the typical trap: They know the Hayward
pick, at best, is years away from working out. But they won't admit it so Sloan
is ordered to keep playing him. Pay no attention to the man behind the
curtain.Watch Evans wind up on Portland for nothing.
Welcome back Memo!!!
Makes total sense to inactivate Evans. He averages over a point a minute of
play time, provides instant offense and energy, gets the crowd involved .... Who
wants that? Great move!
