2 Mountain West teams, SDSU and UNLV, also in top 25
It might help if Utah had a basketball coach....Let's work on that
congrats cougs. Keep on winning and you'll get the respect you so desparately
Big deal. Their football program was ranked early on this season as was Utah's.
Where are they now? Forget the hype media, it's where you finish that counts!
wookie,One thing is for sure - good or bad, byu teams will always be
your #1 focus.
BYU ranked? Come on man! Wins over Chicago State, Mississippi Valley State and
Utah State, et al? You must be kidding me! This is all just crazy. This is a
dream world we are living in these days. And I am a diehard Cougar fan.
Funny (strange) troll smack. Keep winning Cougars. You could beat the Lakers and
the envious ute fans would find a reason to whine.
Wins over Chicago State, Mississippi Valley State and Utah State. Great cheap
shot "Anonymous Infinity". I think you really know better than that.
You and I know that if that game was played in Logan BYU would have the loss
instead of USU.This is a prime example of what a better schedule
will do for you. Utah State should upgrade their schedule. I think they
deliberately schedule wins so when league play starts the players have a better
attitude and the confidence to win.If you really think BYU is a top
25 team and Utah State is not . . . ?
Funny the trash talk coming from Ute fans disguised as BYU supporters, when
their team is 3-2, lost to Utah St. and Oral Roberts (2-3) at home! What a
joke! I was at the football game at RES. Funny how the big timeout advertisement
for Utah athletics was their Women's Gymnastics team. Season tickets are still
on sale starting at $20!
It's nice to be recognized by the AP and Coaches polls, but a more important
ranking for NCAA tournament seeding is RPI:#3 UNLV#21 BYU#26 Utah St#36 SDSU#38 St Mary's#80 New
Mexico#95 Creighton (BYU's next opponent)#110 South Florida#113 Oral Roberts#234 Utah#245 WyomingStill a
long way to go, but the Cougars are off to a good start.UNLV, BYU,
SDSU and New Mexico, as usual, will be fighting it out for MWC supremacy and
good seeds in the NCAA tournament. You must not be much of a fan,
Anonymous Infinity, if you're knocking the Cougars for being ranked.BYU has already beaten two Top 50 RPI teams and three Top 100 RPI teams;
that's more than #1-ranked Duke, which has only beaten one Top 50 RPI team.
No IdahoAggie, USU doesn't belong in the top 25 ranked teams. Maybe 26-50, but
not the top 25. They are good but they don't beat good teams on the road.
Lots of jealousy and obsession evident in some of these comments. Just like any
other sport in any other year, the rankings are a result of last years success,
returning players and national respect. It will sort itself out as the season
progresses and we will all see where our teams end up. Until then, try to show
more class and less jealousy and hate.
Nice job True Blue. Good to see unbiased posts. My early assessment of the in
state teams.Utah State - The most well rounded team with both an
inside and an outside game. Undersized on the post, but a coach who believes in
pounding it down there.BYU - Missing inside game, but superior guard
play. Guards win a lot of games at the college level. Relatively stiff
schedule to this point with St Mary's and South Florida. Creighton will be a
test.Utah - Hard to know if this is effectively a repeat of last
year or something better. Looks to me that the inexperience may be a couple of
losses away from packing it in. Pretty soft schedule could keep the team above
Ranked as usual. I love it. Indy future is bright in football and our conference
will be competitive-more than the pac-12 at least. Go Y
Congrats, Cougs, from a Ute fan. Hopefully the Utes can pick it up by the time
we play you. I think they will be better than they are now, that's for sure.
Keep having a good season.Go Utes!
You may have missed my point "casual observer". Your right, Utah
State is not yet a top 25 team and neither is BYU.
Woo, Hoo! Elite team foder.
