Nice article but the headline is terribly misleading. It implies that David
McCullough will be doing something for this year's program or the program every
year. The article is about a program that happen 2 years ago.
I agree with the above post about the headline being misleading. DN editors need
to do a much better job. I see such misleading headlines on more than a few
articles, and it shouldn't occur. About the article, I love David McCullough as
an historian and writer. He literally brings history alive! I've read 1776 and
John Adams and love his unique work. Question is, where will the next
"historian" come from?
Yes, the title is very misleading. The word "partners" suggested the
present tense instead of the past tense. The article is really a book review of
the book which has recently been released. "Wizard" from Kansas, the
concert was one year ago in December 2009. David McCullough headlined with
Natalie Cole and the concert will be featured this year on PBS stations around
This seems like a deja vu article about last year's concert. I find it
interesting that the DN publishes an entire article about a book/DVD released by
DB, not as a book review, but as a news article.
Mr McCullough was magnificent in last year's Christmas concert. If I were given
3 wishes, the first one would probably be to have a voice like his.
Frank:My first wish would be to write history so as well as he does.
