55 Fouls 75 free throws, Utah shooting 45 of those and making 40. The Wildcats
shooting 30 and making 26, which by the way is good free throe shooting by both
teams but what gets me is 45 to 30 free throws. Maybe a little lopsided.
Anyway Weber being such a young team has a great future when they get every one
on the same page. In fact more players are stepping it up as experience is
going to help that. Hats off to the Utes in their win. But I have to say
What a boring game to watch. I thought I would have to postpone Thanksgiving
before it finally ended. It seemed like the refs couldn't take a breath without
blowing their whistles.First game I've ever seen where both teams were in
the double bonus during both halves of the game and still with more than 10
minutes to play. Ridiculous.
Good win for this young Ute team. I love that they are going to Logan to play
the Aggies. It will be a great test for them, and a good experience for these
guys to play together in such a hostile environment so early in the season. As always a Boylen believer and proud of it.Go Utes
Get used to teams having to foul Utah. They attack the glass all night long and
the Wildcats only answer was to foul.
Nice win, boys. Keep up the good work.Kando, even if WSU had 45 foul
shots (15 more), and even if they should the same FT % for those extra 15
(making approximately 13), they would have lost. Also, teams that are behind,
but not being blown out tend to get less FT because they are fouling more at the
end of the game. Home cooking may play a minor role but you are implying it is
more than it realliy is.
Ugly Win? Come one D News, how is a 15 point W ugly? Physical, yes. Ugly? No.
Basketball isn't always finesse. Sometimes it's a grind, but that doesnt make it
ugly. It's just the game. Ugly for WSU, not Utah.
