Too bad Portland offered him that huge contract or maybe it's too bad we didn't
sign him for longer in the first place.I get the feeling Hayward
will never be as good as Matthews already is, but maybe I'll be surprised.Good luck to Wesley.
nah, don't give up on Hayward yet. His confidence isnt very high right now, but
he has barely played, which is why Sloan is letting him start in place of Bell.
He just needs to make one jumpshot and his confidence will boost significantly
I was among the majority who thought Matthews shot himself in the foot by going
to Portland, where he would watch most of the season from the bench. I"ve
been dead wrong so far. And so far Bell is a downgrade for Matthews at the 2.
I am not giving up on Bell yet. He will do alot in April. Don't worry.
It was sad to see Wesley go but the Jazz just couldn't afford him at the price
Portland was willing to pay.I'm certain Matthews would have
preferred to stay with the Jazz; unfortunately he was convinced by those around
him that Utah would most likely match because of what happened the year before
We miss you for sure Mathews! Best of luck, unfortunately money plays a big
role in all of the decisions and we understand!Lets hope Bell, and
Hayward continue to step up! Best mathews! just don't kill us when you come
back to play us??
Matthews got lucky. After signing his deal, Roy is diagnosed with arthritis in
his knee. He will never be the player he once was. Matthews just happened to
be the guy sitting in the shadows. If Roy were fine, Matthews would be wasting
away on the bench.I still think that Bell is a better match for the
Jazz. We needed a veteran for leadership and Bell has better defensive skills.
I will stand behind Bell on this one.
man...one game of 30 points and everyone thinks matthews is an all-star...any
player in the NBA can put up solid numbers given playing time...and has loads of
confidence...for me...Hayward could be better than matthews...i said
"could" why? coz the kid lost his confidence...if he ever bounce
back...he could be the the triple threat kind of guy...much like Detlef Schrempf
If the thought is win now, why not package Hayward and the rights to Ante Tomic
and use the trade exception to go get a solid shooting guard? You could easily
get a player like Jamal Crawford, or Ben gordon, Tayshuan Prince, maybe get We
back? The Jazz need a three point threat from the wing. Losing Korver and
Mathews was huge. Raja is shooting 26% from the 3 and CJ is not doing much
better. This Jazz team reminds me of the Jazz team when we had Gordon Girececk
and we traded him for Kyle Korver, a 3 point threat. We all now that was a huge
turn around for this team. I think this team really needs another scoring threat
and someone to knock down 3's. Don't say Memo either, we need him in the post
and draw other bigs out of the lane so our wings can drive to the hoop. I dont
even want to get started with talking about this team and rebounding, yall
So frustrating! Will Kevin O'Conner will ever take the 2 spot seriously?
O'Conner is a nice guy. I have actually met him in person. I don't think he is
the smartest person in the world. I always question O'Conners intelligence when
he is on David Locke interviews. He sure stumbles on questions and does not
answer questions in ways that sound like they are what is best for the team. He
has a horrible track recod on draft picks but he did get it right on at least 3
players. Milsap rocks and D-Will is great but why sign Memeo to a contract when
he is no longer that good and has health issues which prevented to signing a
decent 2 guard? And then the AK47 contract. We knew AK47 was good but how
foolish to sign a max deal to a player who is not a max deal player. I have so
many doubts about O'Conner. It's tough being a fan and it doesnt take a genius
to figure out O'Conner is overall a huge downside for the Jazz.
