I looked into the possibility of purchasing a condo at one of the gateway
projects. Unfortunately only a small percentage of the units have balconies.
This is surprising for such a talked about project. In my opinion this is bad
cjb- It's actually very GOOD planning. The "reduction" of balconies
is due to air flow, weather and safety. . . not the desire to hinder the view.
There are a vast number of picture windows in place though.City
Creek is the major catalyst is one of the greatest downtown redevelopments in US
history. Downtown Salt Lake City will draw shoppers, sight seers and just
people in general. It will be the eye of the storm in the economic resurgence
and boom of Utah.Yes I know there will be nay sayers coming out of
the woodwork. Just like those who predicted the demise of BYU football and the
ultimate conquest of the nation by Utes. Well we see where that went.With the public transportation in place and the completion of the project
there will not only be an influx of permanent residents to the downtown area,
but a magnetic draw of people from the valley and beyond. The entire downtown
will benefit from the CCP and we will see more and more improvements inspired by
it. It will seem infectious. The next couple of years will be exciting to
