Why is voting such a big deal? Voting does not make much of a
difference around these parts anyway. All of the voting machine
glitches and long waits just make it a bigger hassle too. To me, it
is just a big waste of time.
Not a big deal? Who says it makes no difference? Based upon the number of
independents in the local governments, the referendums on the ballot, and the
local issues being voted on, it definitely makes a difference. You don't have to
vote for the winner, just vote for what you feel is right. If voting is a big
waste of time, what is your preferred process for officials? Monarchy?
Voting isn't a big deal? How about Freedom? Is that a big deal? How about a Republic or Communism? If you care about these
things then voting IS a VERY BIG DEAL! Go Vote!
George, if that is the way you feel theen please don't complain about anything
that is related to the candidates on today's ballot as you chose to accept the
outcome no matter what by not voting today.
I agree with those that encourage voting. What I don't agree with is the length
of these mud slinging campaigns, and the amount of money spent on them (3
billion) for a mid term. The media loves it and carresses it for the money,
which is nothing more than greed. And they also stir the pot constantly to
create the cash infusion that their various networks will do or say anything to
get. What a crock! I suppose tommorrow or the next day we will start up the
campaigning for the 2012 elections. When is enough- enough? "SICKENING"!
Tonight we see the dismantling of the Republican rhetoric and so called "exit
polls" and media hypeAwake in the morning to hear that the so called
Christian Conservatives did not reach their goal of a "majority" as they would
like. Oppression of the poor and deportation of our neighbours and the desire to
own a gun, will not win voters. Republicans have sold jobs, industry and
manufacturing to China and now we are held hostage to unemployment and China's
economic demand. Eight years selling our country to foreign powers has its
price,even in the polls.
