Nice game CJ,now play like that everyday and you`ll be starting at the 2 spot
within a month, cause I don`t think Bell has much left other than a good back up
Nice intensity! Keep it up!
Nice game CJ. We could sure use a few more.Looking at things from a
different angle, how many articles have been written attemting to explain what
CJ is doing to "get out of his latest funk/slump"?It seems these are
almost as regular as weather reports.CJ has a load of talent and
looks spectacular at times but for cyring out loud, when we can we finally see
this guy be consistent?I mean he is only in his 6th season and here
he is talking about learning how to avoid silly fouls.Really? How many stories have been written about him "pressing" or "trying to
hard" and him telling us how he just needs to "play his game" or "let it come to
him" or whatever his latest phrase might be.I for one, and I don't
think I'm alone, would like to see some consistency instead of him garnering an
"atta-boy" article every 3rd game when he finally is productive.C'mon CJ. Enough already!!
CJ made the statement that he made a conscious effort to stay alert, so he
wouldn't get in foul trouble. CJ has alot of talent and potential and many
of us have said for quite some time he needs to come out with greater energy and
FOCUS. If CJ will be determined to keep alert and stay focused he should be OK
and continue to improve. He needs to focus and both ends of the floor,
defensively to stay out of foul trouble and play tough D and on Offense to take
good shots and be able to shoot a good percentage. CJ has a tendency to relax
and want to play easy going and nonchalant, if he will come to each game FOCUSED
and determined he should be able to be consistent and have a very good year.
CJ's still got promises to keep and miles to go before he sleeps. And miles to
go before he sleeps.(You heard it here first
people. Someone in the media has got to pick that up and use it!)
The effort Sunday night at Oklahoma was encouraging. What I saw from Millsay,
Miles, Jefferson, Kirilenko, and Williams was good. What I want to see is this
kind of effort and result against the Newguts, Fakers, Celtics, and Heat, et al.
This game needs to be built upon. There needs to be a consistency, smart play,
and no silly passing and fouls. I also liked the camraderie amoung teammates.
I don't want to see glum faces, hanging heads and all the bickering I see when
the going gets tough in games they end up losing. I want to see more enthusiasm
from the coaching staff. Jerry Sloan, Phil Johnson, and the other assistant
coaches are far too glum on the sidelines. If the Jazz are going to be a force
in the league, then they need to act like it. Sunday's win doesn't mean a thing
unless they can replicate it, and get a winning streak going. The media needs
to get real in their articles and commentary, and not just run hot and cold,
jumping on a off the bandwagon as they do most of the time. Winning is the only
Jazz Source: A smart newspaper always writes articles about the star players.
That is why CJ gets so many articles about him.I predicted that the
Jazz go as CJ goes. He has a great game, its a blow out. When he doesn't play,
the Jazz get blown out.It is so obvious that CJ is the cornerstone
of the Jazz right now. Without him being productive, the Jazz are an average
Can someone please tell Sloan there are 6 fouls that a player has to give. He
takes these guys out if they get 2 in the first half. So old school and it
actually encourages his players to play soft because they don't want to give up
fouls and come out. If they get 3 in the 2nd quarter I could see taking them
well...CJ should've been doing this from the start of the season...i mean come
on...how many years has it been since he was drafted?...if he was a great player
like everyone says he is...he should've been doing this on this 2nd or third
year...he has such a slow learning curve...i hope it pays of in the end...or we
might just get a bryon russel....
Here we go....Miles a star,that`s funny I needed a good laugh,he hasn`t done
anything, second stringer couldn`t even beat out an old worn out Raja Bell for
starting job, doubt he would even start at big college,Duke/NC.This is his last
shot in Utah,he needs to show up EVERYDAY,not every 3rd or 4th game.My take...HE
Houdini......Jerry kept him on the bench the first two games. When you can't
sweat, you can't play. When he got playing time, he was successful as he will
be every game. Name one player who looked good the first two games?
I agree with houdini that CJ needs to play like that everyday at the SG
position. But I dont know if he can. I have my doubts but think he will have his
best year this year. Bell has always been more the backup type. I love Bells
game. It's just that he plays better with fewer minutes. If CJ cant be what
people thought he would be Jazz need to get a really good shooting guard to
build a contender. Jazz have a much more solid frontcourt this year. We need
better shooting and player efficiency.
@ CJ MilesI'll name 2 players that looked good first two games...Gordon Hayward and Paul Millsap...just saying...
