This Saturday will show why Javi Morales was not a candidate for MLS MVP. Not
because he is not a great player, because I believe that he is one of the best
in the MLS. RSL will roll, even without him in the line up. We have enough
talent on this team to take it to Dallas at home.
Hopefully this will force Morales to get back some of his intensity. He had a
rough game even before the second yellow. He is a great player, but I think the
rest of the team will rally together for the win.
I don't know what to think. The CCL takes something out of a team. Look at this
weekend and lets see how each CCL team fared. RSL lost, Seattle lost, Columbus
lost, hmmmmmm. If there is a team that could do it I believe ours could. Kreis
has been preaching it all year that we could do both, but you have to wonder if
these guys aren't out of gas.As far as playoff reform goes, I think
it will come, but Garber has made it very clear that this league will not become
a single table league. They will probably tweak it so that we don't have so much
switching from West to East or something, but conferences are here to stay.
I'm feeling nervous about Saturday. Between not getting a result in Dallas,
Morales being out, and RSL not playing up to their potential the last 2 games I
am a little worried. Either way, it makes for an exciting game.
Um, Morales is out for the game, he got a red card vs Dallas this last one, and
to Cobalt, LA was also a CCL team though, so I don't know if your theory is
correct, but kind of is.
Although Columbus lost on the road to a good Colorado team, and RSL lost on the
road to a good Dallas team. Seattle should be worried, as they lost at home, so
now they must get a result on the road.I think that RSL will be fine, and
that we will advance on Saturday, although I am a bit nervous.Bigsoccer: While LA was in the CCL, they played two games in July before they
were knocked out, while RSL, Columbus, and Seattle were all involved in the
group stage, so LA doesn't really count. And nobody was saying that
Morales was going to be playing in the game, so I don't know why that was
Only a sport like soccer would make the team with a better record start out on
the road and then make it a cummulative score thing. How about a good old
fashioned best of 3? And how about finishing your season before November.
Gotta love Soccer. Actually don't.
The sad part of all of this is that Dallas will play for the accursed tie. They
will not even try to win. RLS will need to get a quick goal to force Dallas out
of their "kiss your sister mode". Hate ties period!!
I’m disappointed with the defensive bungles that led to Dallas’
goals. However, the team knows what needs to be done and is more than capable
of doing at home. Kudos to Dallas though, they know how to fight
back…I’m pumped for what should be an exciting game…
It will be interesting to see if Dallas decides to play defensive because they
can look back and see how many teams have tried that at Rio Tinto this season
and have lost.Javier Morales will definitely be missed, but I
believe we can win without him. Remember that RSL was down a goal in
the aggregate to Columbus last year in the 35th minute of the second leg. They
went on to score 3 goals in the final 65 minutes to win 4-2 on aggregate. My
point? Never count RSL out.
