this is exactly what happens when you put forth the effort and have energy and
play team ball. way to go and keep it up utah.
Surprise surprise.Deron decides to push the ball and get everyone
running and we win. What a shocker. If Deron would have
done the same thing in the first two games we would have won at least one of
those two games if not both.He runs and penetrates we stand a good
chance of winning. He walks or slow-jogs it up against a set defense?
We lose most of the time.I'm glad he figured it out.
Milsap is a stud! Here comes his first of many All-Star appearances.
There seemed to be some "chemistry" out there tonight. Namely, D will, CJ Miles,
Andre Kirilenko, Paul Milsap, and Big Al Jefferson!!!
thank you Congratulations Go Jazz were all walking tall!
Good to see AK and CJ step up.
Al Jefferson didnt replace Boozer, Milsap did!!!
Way to go D-Will! Push the pace and run the offense and see what happens?!
Gee i think the Jazz can go all the way now.
Milsap easily replaces Booz with those numbers. Adding Big Al just adds 20 and
10 more to each night. And a big man to clog the middle that knows the game.
What is that mean Finally? Sounds like 0-10 team win finallyyy. It's still too
early to say something, team will correct and tweak. As Ak goes so does jazz.
all the dwill bashing...absolutely ridiculous. some "fair weather" jazz fans
drive me nuts.i'll say it again, bball is a psychological game.
dwill was beyond upset those first two games (and had every reason) because no
one was putting in the effort...well, except for millsap, as usual...and that
translated into horrendous offense (passing, shooting, turnovers, etc.) and
defense.the jazz will be fine and might even pull out a 60+ season,
wouldn't that be something?
This is an excellent win. A little early-season adversity might be just what the
Jazz needed.Still, I celebrate this win as a big deal over a very
good team. But dwillfan, the Jazz will not be a 60 win team. That is
Solid, sometimes great play by Williams, Milsap and Kirilenko. All three were
very active, and the Jazz played some great defense overall. Good to see both
Miles and Hayward move the ball upcourt against the trap. Miles and Kirilenko
hitting big shots, Kirilenko bothering Durant. Jefferson putting back shots that
Boozer probably would have been blocked on. Good stuff, good fun. Go Jazz. One
thing, though, I want to see Fes in there more and maybe a little more of Price.
Great win. OKC helped out by shooting outside jumpers. Early on they were going
to Green a few times down low and the Jazz didn't seem to be able to stop that.
I hope the interior defense tightens up or else it will be tough to stop teams
that post up and get inside the lane. But I'm not complaining after a great win
on the road.
That was a butt-kicking on the other team's floor. Nice victory, but I
hope the Jazz have short memories and just keep playing hard.
I have been an AK critic. After all he is the longest tendered player and our
highest paid player, but the fact is he was able to keep Durant in front of him
and we didnt have to double like most teams do, that leaves other players wide
open to kill you. Sure Durant scored 28, but we played intense team defense!KEEP UP THE INTENSITY! Nice team effort!GO JAZZ!!
I'm not selling the house just yet. I think Milsap has looked great all three
games. I think Milsap is the guy that should be getting the ball. He deserves
it.Evans gives us a spark. And I love what I'm seeing from Hayward.
OKC is a very good team, so it was nice to see the jazz step it up.
53% from the field. That is exceptional. But, it is only one game.
Todd there is some errant info in your post. You say Jefferson effort makes
Boozer look worse. Actually Jefferson is still a youth compared to Boozer. In
the first two games Jefferson required a map to find the basket. This from a
20/10 supposed guy. Imagine 6 points from Boozer who owmed the Suns. Jefferson is an investment in the future and hopefully he can play big time
minutes as the Jazz really need him to. But when the fight was on
where was Jefferson last night? He missed more 6 and 10 footers than Boozer
ever did. After the fight was over and the pressure was off in the third and
4th quarters then Jefferson went to the line and put on a clinic of free throw
shooting. During the melee he was MIA though.Had Fes been on his
game last night he could have played half the game.It was grand to
see the Jazz run and score. When the score is above 100 for the Jazz they do
Doug, Jefferson is learning a brand new system and it will take some time for
him to get used to it. I think you will see him become a bigger force inside on
offense, and on defense he can bother shooters more than Boozer. Plus, Jefferson
is playing out of position right now. He will slide over to the 4 spot when Memo
comes back so we can have Memo, Jefferson, and Paul playing the front line. That
should be interesting. I think Memo will pull some bigs outside to guard him and
leave a little more room for Jefferson to do his thing inside.
Now that's more like it! Way to go guys. Bring it on Wednesday night for
Wow! What a change from the last 6 seasons, we had a team down big....and we
didn't cough it up!...Actually stomped on their throat!...Let's hope this game
will be the rule NOT the exception!.Oh, and....thanks DWill for
pushing the ball!PEACE!
This is CJ Miles breakout year, he's finally figured it out. His shot looks a
lot better and he's starting to play with some confidence. About time. Sixth man
of the year! And how about Milsap 30 and 16?!? BEAST!!
I was happy that the Jazz had a breakaway game. Paul Milsap had 30 and 10,
Jefferson 20 and 10, but the key was that they moved the ball so that they got a
lot of easy baskets. The bottom line: Rhythm!!
Milsap is da man! I love New Orleans. Home of jazz, blues, fried chicken Loisiana
style and Paul Milsap. So glad to have Milsap in Utah. Milsap need his minutes.
He plays hard and he will bring this team to where it needs to be. Jazz can win.
But Jazz need a really good Shooting Guard. Yes Kevin O'Conner wake up! Please!
If Oconner never does what I have been telling him to do since day 1 I hope he
Jefferson did a better job of getting to the glass last night. He was more
active (I sound like Jerry).CJ stayed out of foul trouble and showed
why the Jazz need him on the floor to win.AK did a good job on
Durant. I thought Millsap hitting jumpers was a big plus. The difference between the this game and the first two is the following:Millsap was the primary scoring option instead of Jefferson. CJ stayed
out of foul trouble.
