My guess is that the money donated by this crowd to restore the Mall will be
less than what it will take to clean up the mess they leave behind.
Eliot,Will you take it down a notch... for America?
Rather silly kind of rally. Makes me feel like they are mocking the country. If
it isnt a political rally, then why at the national mall ? ? ?At
least some of the money will go to good causes.
"Real patriots can handle a difference in opinion"Amen. But I guarantee
those on the right think it's those on the left that can't handle a difference
of opinion, with the reverse being just as true as well. Agree to disagree, but
somewhere down the line someone has to make a choice, and sometimes that choice
isn't going to be supported by all.
I guess the "progressives" don't like it when the sheeple get engaged. They just
want us to be passive and let them lead us to their vision of America. They say:Relax. (those who disagree are just fearmongering)Don't
get involved (if you are conservative). Don't be passionate. (if you
disagree with us)Don't think! (We will do that for you)Oh and Stop
the dangerous hate speech!!!!Because it so dangerous, hateful, and
RACIST to not agree with their point of view. These people are
just woried that "sanity" might just be restored. For the sake of
this nation ... we need the sheeple to get engaged and educate themselves. We NEED a backlash against the liberal progressive policies that are
proven failures in every place and time they have been tried.Be
civil and be kind. There is NO place for violence against those with different
ideas. But do not back down from learning correct principles and
demanding theat we be governed by them.
Captain, I must agree.I am puzzled by the members of the
entertainment world who seem to feel that their opinion on subjects political is
of any greater worth than the average human being. There are a few on
both the left and right who make their living in the political realm who at
least are familiar with the issues at hand and it is up to me to decide who has
the most convincing argument. But for the most part, the information
to be gleaned from most actors and athletes is about as valuable as dryer lint.
And speaking of fluff, most comedians fall in this category, attempting to sway
voters with jokes instead of intelligent conversation. Most
Did anyone watch any of the rally? If you did, WITHOUT POLITICAL
BLINDERS, you probably would have agreed with virtually everything said from the
stage.Lets see. Jon Stewart does not lean right so anything he says
is bologna? The message was a good and patriotic. The
comments here prove that we need to hear the message from the rally and learn.
He blasted right and left. And we should be blasting RIGHT AND LEFT
for what they are doing to our country.
Gotta agree, JoeBlow. The rally contained none of the things the people
complaining about it are saying. It wasn't even about that. It was about all
being Americans who basically get along even if we disagree about some things.
But I guess getting along is now bad and being as divisive as possible is now
righteous and good.
joeblowIs this the same Jon Stewart that referred to our President, the
president of the free world, as "DUDE?" Dude who stole my car. Dude pass me
the bong. Dude that must have been some rally.
KM, and your point is?My response to that is BIG DEAL.If
that is what you took from the interview, you may have missed something.I saw Reasonable questions, civil dialogue and a discussion of a couple
of real issues. Certainly not a patsy interview.Stewarts point is
that we can civilly disagree. We can have honest discussions."I may
disagree, but I'm pretty sure you're not Hitler"
