Corroon has turned us off completely. I am very energized to do everything I
can to seem him not only not elected as Governor, but not elected as anything
again. Now Matheson seems to be going the way of the mudslinger along
with him. Its awful. I don't like seeing that "scorched earth" behavior coming
That negative tone is one sided. Corroon doesn't seem to understand we want to
know what he intends to do .Instead of what Herbert is doing wrong. The facts
are this state is running very well. It is the democrats who are running the
negative campaign.D A .and Mathesons I am voting for Matheson because of the job
he has done not his negative TV adds. But not Sim Gill and his attacks on Lora
Miller. He has been running for office every since he lost the last election.
The Dems had that office for a long time and they want it back no matter what
they have to say or do.
If yo are behind, this is what you do. Get over it. If the tables were turned,
the Republicans would do exactly the same thing, if not worse. Utah is no
different than elsewhere, believe it or not.
Said it before, I'll say it again: I voted for Peter Corroon in 2008. He
should have had a shot at my vote. But he's failed to make a
compelling argument for change from the current administration, and has relied
on negative campaigning too heavily. I mean, cmon, Rod Blagojevich? That's
just not believable in the least. I won't vote for someone who will say
anything and everything to be elected.
I havd already boved for Peter. Herberts ad states that there will be a Utah
solution to immigration. Well, what is it? Am I going to have to wait until
after the election to find out or will it be business as usual in 2012? I think
I can move past the politics and he said, no he said. What did you do? Herbert
is Governor because Huntsman accepted another position.
As a long time republican, I am dismayed by Herbert and his payoffs... This is
not the party of my father. I am part of the republicans for Corroon because he
is honest and I want an end to this back room corruption...
This construction payoff has really hurt Herbert. I don't think he will recover.
Under Corroon's leadership the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office was dismantled
and now citizens in unincorporated Salt Lake County are being charged a "fee"
for the same service by the same peace officers now wearing a different colored
uniform. Funny thing is that 1/3rd of them refuse to pay this extortion.Corroon won't even take Salt Lake County in the upcoming election. He's
toast now and he'll be even worse off in 2 years.
It was Herbert who first went negative, with the pathetic story that Corroon
would "cut seminary" and couldn't deal with public schools because his kids went
to Catholic school. Look at their rsums: Herbert "attended" BYU (for
a year). Peter has multiple graduate degrees. It should be a
no-brainer. Unfortunately, most Utah voters are no-brainers and Herbert will
And Herbert's qualifications for governer are he attended BYU and ran a day care
business, while Carroon has a BS, MS and JD. Who is proping up Herbert???
Sounds kind of like what happened with the political machine that propped up GW
Bush - and look where he got us...
re: chuckles55 Really? Look at where our current Harvard graduate has gotten
this country? Shall I start?
Once again, no mention at all that there is a Libertarian candidate in the race.
It is intellectually dishonest to pretend that I do not exist. It would only
take an extra few words to at least mention that there is another choice. After
all, there are a lot of people not satisfied by the two "major party"
candidates. My website and blog show that there are a lot of people still
searching. This is sad that the "major papers" in the State take this tack.
(Thanks to the St. George Spectrum, which has inteveiewed me three times). If
you are not satisfied, if you want smaller government, lower tases and more
freedom, there really is an alternative. Vote Libertarian.
Can we please have a governor who is smarter than his pets?Mr.
Corroon has 3 degrees, including Real Estate Finance, and Law.Mr.
Herbert 'attended BYU'.Great.
