Well, he should be dissatisfied. The BCS is the ultimate elitist "old boys'
club". All they care about is keeping themselves in power and keeping their
money. They truthfully believe that they are entitled to everything that they
are getting and they see no problem whatsoever in what they are doing. Those who
benefit from injustices rarily can see how these injustices affect the rest of
those who don't benefit from them. Fighting the BCS is just like fighting
against organized crime. They can only remain in power as long as their
resources keep them that way. You've got to cut off their resources. Go after
their advertising and all other ways that they make their money. The BCS is
anti-American. It is like a monarchy. Bill Hancock is a modern-day Marie
Antoinette. Maybe it is time that we rise up against the BCS just like the
French people rose up against the aristocracy. I'm not calling for blood or
anything, but it is time to simply do away with these tyrants. Sic Semper
The BCS is nothing but a group of greedy weasels. What did he expect. Only the
enforcement of anti-competition laws will get their attention. Hatch should
stop huffing and puffing and actually do something.
Then Orin Hatch need to foward this information to NCAA board if he is not
getting the answer. NCAA need to take over the program.
I have an idea - Orrin, I believe, because this issue is so important to you,
that you should step down as the very senior senator from Utah and boot Hancock
out of his job and take over the BCS.
+1 to Utah Dem.Hatch is jeopardizing his future by continuing on his
Quixotic quest to meddle with meaningless football stuff while Congress is busy
spending us into bankruptcy and legislating us into slavery.BCS is
fun for sports fans to debate, but not anything that Congress needs to mess
with, even if everything else in government was going well.Hatch's
priorities are all wrong on this.
For those of you who think college sports should be left to "the experts" like
the BCS director says, they should all go suck on a lemon! Some say, as long as
a non-AQ team is in the top 12 end of season BCS rankings they will get into a
BCS game, it just won't be the BCS championship game. Well, that is not right!
I hope congress passes a bill that is named after Senator Hatch that brings down
the BCS and sends those BCS thieves packing, and then implements a better
playoff system that is fair and equal for all div 1 schools.
Orrin, I'm unsatisfied with your suuport of American families. Supporting
American families is far more important than football games.Orrin,
stop supporting the interests of big business over the interests of American
families. That is anti-family values.
Blow hards and new found power threats seem to be all over the place on Hatch.
Have you used your presence to better the world?
Quit wasting your time. Better you start burning flags instead. That will have
as much impact.
To "Menace..." The money that comes from the BCS bowl games goes to the
colleges that play in those games, and that in turn does benefit families, or
the students that come from those families to the schools in question. Seems
like an antitrust situation to me.I am a BYU fan, but I was very
proud of the Utes when they had their undefeated season. Too bad they could not
have had a chance to play in the national championship bowl game. They had
earned that right through their hard work.Yes, other things may be
more important for Sen. Hatch to focus on, but I'm glad he is also spending a
little time fighting this monopoly. Good luck!!
