I'm so glad for your successful SCT. You have so many good years ahead of you. I just received my transplant 5 days ago and have great faith in success, also. I also had a problem with my first donor, but it was my blood causing the problem. The second one was right there ready and willing immediately. Can't wait to meet my donor and give her a hug!!

I'm disappointed that there are no web links to DKMS or any other marrow registries. That would've been a helpful part of the story, to get other people to sign up for it. Donating bone marrow is not that difficult and is such a needed thing, just like donating organs and tissue after you die (or living kidney/liver donations). Should've had more statics on how many donate, how to sign up, how to help others. Good story but lacking some vital follow up.

Congratulations on you transplant! I also am a transplant receiptant. I did my transplant at LDS Hospital w/Dr Finn Bo Petersen and his team! They are terrific! I will be celebrating my 9th year out in September! It is an amazing thing and I wish it was more publicized to create more donors for the registry. Good luck with your new life!
