I'm not sure I understand why BYU is even in the same gym with the Red Rocks.
Utah's competition is on the national stage...Florida, Georgia, etc. That said, CONGRATULATIONS to the Red Rocks...you represented the Utes well
again this year. You are well deserving of loyalty of the Utah fan base. Well
Good to see that people show up to the Huntsman Center to watch something...
just not basketball.
Saw Utah vs. BYU three times in a row now. Brilliant and amazing competition.
This is coming from a straight Mormon guy who usually likes to enjoy watching
football, basketball and a bit of soccer and hockey here and there. The Red
Rocks are quite the powerhouse and fun to watch. BYU had a number a bright spots
too. Especially the BEAM!! It was really fun to be part of another amazing and
enthusiastic crowd. Good stuff!
Just amazing! The athleticism and brilliance of the display last night was
incredible. They deserve the attendance record and more.Great job
We've got gymnastics, yes we do!We've got gymnastics, how 'bout you?
...soooo i heard more people showed up to watch gymnastics than a single
Football game at Rice Ecles...any truth to this? haha
I just want to say that according to audience members, BYU looked way more solid
than Utah that night. Of course, with judges deciding the outcome, the U is
going to win at the U every time. But seriously...9.8s on beam for the U had
three wobbles and 9.8s on beam for the Y were flawless routines...something not
right about that. But you can NOT say that BYU should not be allowed in
the same arena as the U because those cougars sure know how to put up a fight
even with unfair advantages for the U. Way to go cougars!!
To: Anonymous | 4:29 p.m. March 27, 2010 Right...the judges were
biased, the refs don't like us, SDSU student section is bigoted. Blah, blah,
blah. BYU = blah, blah, blah. I'm tired of hearing it and I'm sure
I'm not the only one. Anyone else out there tired of hearing BYU fans, players,
coaches, administration, etc., etc., whine and complain??If you
didn't like the way the judges scored the contest why didn't you revert to the
neanderthal ways of BYU and throw trash at them??
It's a good thing ya'll got women's gymnastics to hold onto this years,
otherwise it would just plain stink, to be a Ute-fan...Geez, what a shame,
Women's gymnastics drew a bigger crowd that Men's basketball game last
month...how sad, so very very sad to be a Ute-fan...YIPPIE!!! OUR women saved
face for us this year...GO UTES!!!
@ attendence | 2:00 p.m. March 27, 2010 Was that funny?! What were
you trying to accomplish with your ridiculous post?
I guess you missed last months gymnastics meet at Byu. Additonally the 3 9.8's
with Ute bobbles were scored the same as BYU 9.8 because of the difficlty of the
Utes beam were far more difficult.
I don't know much about gymnastics, but in most sports, when you win by one
point (ok, just over one point in this case), it does not warrant the kind of
prideful comment you made ("I'm not sure I understand why BYU is even in the
same gym with the Red Rocks"). I feel bad for you that gymnastics is the only
sport you are better than BYU at this year, but that doesn't warrant little

I am a BYU fan but with all due respect, the Utes have a fantastic gymnastics
program and deserve some respect. Go Utah.
I used to be in gymnastics, and I love it thuogh I moved and am not in it
anymore. But I think it is amazing that so many other people can succeed.
Gymnastics is extremely athletic and fun to watch...these young women deserve of
the attention and support they are receiving. They certainly have my
respect.Congratulations to all of them.
