I hope you are eating those words this morning. I am a local college football
fan that went to the games and that second game was fantastic. One of the best
games I have ever seen. I was a little disappointed in the local
sports fans for not showing up. It is a rare special oppurtunity to have the
regional finals here we should take advantage of it.
criticize the rule, it is a stupid one and puts money front and center over
anything else. It is an outrage.I live outside Utah and I saw all
the games. hahahahhaha
All the games are broadcast on the NCAA website, free of charge. You can look in
on any game you want, any time you want. It's great for those of us living
I didn't know tickets were still available! After BYU beat florida, I was told
the games were sold out. Someone did a poor job marketing the event and getting
the word out that tickets were still available!
From everything I read the tickets released locally were sold out. The empty
seats were for tickets that the participating schools were supposed to sell.
They can release them back to the arena if they aren't going to sell them and
then more local fans can try to get them. Either way, those empty lower bowl
seats were paid for because whatever doesn't sell in the lower bowl the schools
that originally held the tickets have to pay.
As soon as the games got close, we got it. And they stayed through the very end.
I tried weeks ago to get tickets on the web, but none were available! What's up
with that? Did they save some tickets for the teams fans that did not show up?
The 4 schools that were participating were given tickets to sell. Any tickets
they did not sell were released back to EnergySolutions Arena -- about 3,000,
which went on sale Wednesday morning. Given that capacity for the tourney is
19,000, they sold about half of them.
Last night on Baseball Tonight, in talking about Stephen Strasburg, someone said
something to the effect that playing in the Big Leagues isn't like playing for
San Diego State in the WAC. You'd think these sports "geniuses" would have a
I was wondering why they weren't showing the West Regionals in a western market.
I guess that makes sense but I don't think it was well known that if there were
unsold tickets that seeing the games in person would be your best chance of
seeing the whole thing. The East Regionals last night were a laugher too, glad
CBS at least went back to show the ends of some pretty exciting games!
on my home tv in Salt Lake Valley. I purchased Mega March Madness on Directv for
$69 for 1st - 4th rounds. Would of love it if X beat K Sate. But good game
anyway from start to finish. I would have love if gotten some tickets if they
announce it that they were available or was it?
