Jazz center confident he'll be in World Championships
It's the World Championships, Turkey's the host country, and Memo loves to
represent his nation, so really, this isn't a big shock. And he'll represent
well, too.Peace out from the Jazz Oracle!
I think it's great that all our best players are going to tire themselves out
over the summer, really, its good karma. i bet ak is healthy for his
russian team, thats something to look forward to, for the russian fans.jazz fans, well,we get to wonder whats happening with 16
million, we wonder what that swooshing sound is as we watch it flush down the
drain. as fans, we don't even ask him to be worth his huge contract, we just
ask him to play hard, he has a huge role with the team that most players would
be happy wtih, ak47 could still be one of my favorite players, but
he's got to play, I'm pretty sure, as others have posted, he'll give us a lift
when he comes back, i agree with ak fan and others, we'd do good to involve him
more on offense, he's maybe the second best passer on the team, so it takes alot
of pressure off of dwill to have him create some plays too.
Oh it's his home country. What are these players as far as their countries and
the NBA--MACHINES? There just seems to be more and more summer ball being played
and I totally disagree with players playing competitive basketball for this many
months a year. This goes for USA as well as foreign play. But oh well, it's all
about the GREED on all of them, players too. Thats what the world is made of in
most eyes today----MONEY!
I like international basketball because its really entertaining to see other
countries play and the players take sacrfices to play more basketball during the
summer. It also improves the game of the players playing in the FIBA
If it's ok for American players to play for their country, it's ok for these
guys. I was in Turkey several years ago and when people learned we were from
Utah, they were excited because of Memo.
Another player who breaks down next season...
I think it's the fans that are the greedy ones. Everyone should want to
represent their country when they get a chance no matter waht it is.Even if I pay to attend games and buy Jazz stuff does not mean I own the
players, so they can still do what they want.I also don't beleive
that these players are playing to much. It's not like they work 8 hours a day 5
days a week 52 weeks a year. So I'm pretty sure they can handle it. Also they don't get hurt any more the they do during the NBA season. Look how
many players get hurt during an 82 game season. So greedy fans get
over it. I hope all Jazz players are good enough to play for their country and
do play for their country if given the chance.
