can play with frwer nerves on Saturday.
You get to play K-STATE now! YEAAHHH
Jimmer had the ball TOO much. The offense stagnated while everybody stood around
and watched him. He should involve more players and let them give the ball back
if they want.
is to sit there and predict the team that you hate will lose the next game. The
reality is that the Cougars have won 30 games this season and broken a 17 year
drought. And, they are still in the tournament with a chance to play again. I
think there are a lot of fans in this country who would like to be in our shoes
including one or two in the great state of Utah.
Too much Jimmer | 8:22 p.m. March 18, 2010 Jimmer had the ball TOO much.
The offense stagnated while everybody stood around and watched him. He should

however would rather let the coaches coach and win the game. I'll bet the guys
on the end of the bench would rather win too. I have never heard 99 points
described as stagnant - even in the NBA.
fredette has got to get the team involved. They stand there watching him
dribble and dribble and then drive. There is no flow and it will not work
against K state or any further.
Oh please. You can score 99 and still be stagnant at times. Every single
article has talked about it! Jimmer MANY times has the ball too much and tries
too hard to create his own shot and everyone is left standing around.
Congrats Cougs-- excellent and exciting game today. You represented the MWC
Man, it's been forever since the Cougs won an NCAA tournament game. Noah
Hartsock was only 13 the last time it happened. Very cool.
GO COUGS!!!!!!So Rise and Shout, the Cougars are outWe're on a trail to fame and glory.Rise and shout, our cheers will ring
outAs we unfold our vict'ry story.
Great game yesterday! And a very well deserved win. What's up with
all of the criticism and negativity? The comments on almost all of the BYU
articles about the game are filled with criticism from BYU fans and the typical
dumb comments from BYU haters. We just won a NCAA tournament game for the first
time since 1993!! That's something to celebrate. Jimmer was the reason we won
down the stretch and we scored 99 points against an SEC team. The team was
finally able to overcome the mental aspects of the game, and every single win in
the tournament is tough. I don't understand the negativity from so many
people...is there something in the air or water in Utah that causes that kind of
reaction? Great game and Congrats Cougars! Can't wait for Saturday
night's game. Should be fun.
I think Jimmer needs to dribble more.
Yea a win finally!
Dave Rose was a guard on one of the greatest college basketball teams not to win
a national championship, the famous Phi Slama Jama team lead by Clyde Drexler
and Hakeem Olajuwon that came up one miraculous basket short of winning an NCAA
championship. As a head coach at BYU, his record is one of the best

what's "wrong" with a BYU team that has won more games than any other BYU team
in history and what's "wrong" with the play of most dominating BYU players since
Danny Ainge.Get a clue wannabe coaches; you don't know 1/1000th as
much about basketball as Coach Rose.
When I played a few years ago I was on a team that had a guy like Jimmer. He
could hit from anywhere on the floor. Did I or the other members of the team
think we were being cheated because he had the ball? Are you nuts? We wanted
to win. We knew that if we took a shot, we might make it, but when the ball was
in Danny's hands we were his biggest cheer leaders. A jimmer comes along only a
few times in a life time. Enjoy it. I don't care if you are a BYU fan or Utah
fan. You watch the game and see something very special. Let's all Cheer him
on. (an old retired baskeball player).
This Utah fan is glad that BYU is finally doing something in the tourney to
represent the MWC. Finally is right, and it's about time!
around. The offense stagnates due to the defense that is designed to disrupt it
and Jimmer then take over as that is the next best option. After
watching Utah State dork it up for 3/4 of a game and watching Quayle and Green
shoot very poorly I am starting to appreciate Jimmer. I do wish that
BYU would get it's offense to run as they are a much better team than when they
have to rely on Jimmer and Loyd for 3/4th of the offense. Something
is clearly wrong with the offense when the PG position produces that much of the
I'm not sure if BYU has been the underdog in any game they have played in all
season long. It is refreshing to go into tomorrow's game knowing that they have
very little to lose and everything to gain.
It wouldn't matter if BYU won the entire thing someone would find something to
criticize. You can win a region, state, conference, or national championship and
someone will say you didn't do it the right way or this player or that player
wasn't involved enough. If you are a coach you know what I am talking about.
Coach Rose, Coach Rice, Coach Wardenburg and the entire team have done a
tremendous job this year. Congratulations.
