As comedian Ron White says, "You can't fix stupid!" Who knows what Whaley could
have accomplished had he made good decisions and listened to sound advice by
those who tried to help him?
All he needed was to turn his back on his past mistakes and the social circle he
was once part of and he could have realized the financial security that an NBA
career brings. Now all he'll know is crime, prison, probation....repeat.
This dude usually played like he had significant amounts of marijuana between
What a shame to the Jazz team He should have just listen to the right people and
kept on the right track. Now look at wat u got ur self into.
I remember Bob very well. I think he had some real talent and could be playing
in the NBA today if he could just get his act together. Stories like this just
drive me crazy.
perfect comment... you can't fix stupid. wow! Love it
Dont be so quick to judge someone. Have you walked in his shoes? Do you know
what issues he faced growing up?Crime, prison, probation..repeat.
Please tell me thats not what you really think. You my brother are the one who
needs to look in the mirror and check your attitudes and prejudices. Not everything is black and white, though it may be easier for people to look
at things that way. I remember another famous saying, "ignorance is bliss"
Dear Mr. Mailman, it really doesn't matter what issues he had growing up. He
still can't go around breaking laws. He is still responsible for his actions.
There are a lot of people who have had "issues" growing up and still manage to
be up standing people.Your bleeding heart just won't change that is
is most likely haeded for Crime, prison, probation..repeat.You need
to look in the mirror and come to reality
Yep.Walking in someone else's shoes is overrated.Everyone must walk the same road. The road governed by laws. Cutting a guy
slack for breaking the law is not acceptable. And cutting a guy slack that has
repeatedly done so is not very smart. So the longer he is in jail the longer he
is off the streets until he hopefully figures it out. Sounds insensitive?
Allowing him to victimize innocent people is even more insensitive in my book.
Unfortunately staying in the NBA might not have been much better. Too many of
the players are not much better and get away with crime because of who they are.
This kid needs to stop using his buns and start using his head.
Sad to see such talented guy choose wrong road. He wanted easy money instead
sweating and earn pay. Good words Mailman.
It's too bad Whaley has been fighting addictions for so long. If you know
someone dealing with addictions, help them get help by calling the Free 24 hr
addiction Hotline at Journey Healing Centers, 1-866-774-5119. It’s staffed
with Addiction Specialists who can tell you what signs to look for + how to be
Addictions? I feel strongly it's his allergies. He's allergic to work.
Especially hard work, which sticking in the NBA takes. Maturity is accepting
100% responsibility for where you are in life, and regardless of where Mr.
Whaley is from (Benton Harbor, MI - just down the interstate from my office) he
needs to learn to work/grow up.
