Clippers sail to a victory. Sloan is bewildered and blames loss on
inexperience, yet claims it is up to the players to motivate themselves.
Managment will extend his contract for life.lets see how the jazz
start tonight, how long is sloan going to keep mathews in the starting lineup?
he could also be spreading out the minutes of the front line by playing another
center besides okur, but leave it to sloan.
Do you ever stop to think about your silly comments before you start tapping the
keys on the computer??The Jazz are just smart enough to realize how
lucky they are to have Sloan and the fact that your basketball IQ i a _-10
should tell you to stop pounding the keys on stuff you have no clue of..He has done MIRACLES with the level of talent he has to work with.
Now we will see Blauche and Doug come on here and tell us we are right on pace
due .82 games com and theyr'e brilliant basketball minds that the Jazz are right
on pace to win the world title
I would agree more with Jazz Cop over your takesIf jazz cop iq is
-10, it is infinite your rating''Lucky to have Sloan? The
Jazz happen to be a very talented team, they should winImagine where
we would have been if O Connor had the ability along with Greg blessing to try
and seriously field a championship contender.MIRACLES WITH THE
talent?Yeah the Clippers are so great..That is why after
beating us after 44 minutes of zero effort, they got blown out in theyr'e next 2
games at homeNo less than Sacramento, Minnesota and Cloppers
all went into losing streaks right after beating us
Everyone loses games they should win occasionally. The Cavs lost a game to
Washington earlier this year, and the mighty Lakers have also dropped one to the
clips. It means nothing. To all you people yelling for Sloan's head,
here's a question that never seems to have occurred to you. Who would you have
replace him? Where in the world are we going to find an unemployed coach who is
more successful than Sloan?Even if you consider people who would
never be available, there are only a handful of coaches who can hold a candle to
Sloan. Phil Jackson is amazingly successful, but he'd never come to Utah.
Besides, he's successful because he only coaches teams with the best talent in
the NBA. He's a good coach who's career is inflated because his history of
being in the right place at the right time keeps him in the right place at the
right time. Pat Riley isn't doing too great in Miami. Karl and Popavich are
great coaches, but they are on great teams already. Before you insist
on firing Sloan maybe you should think of a replacement.
Ditto, Steve!A few of Sloan's weaknesses as a coach have bothered me
over the years, but I can't think of a single person to replace him that would
coach here. The only way Utah will ever get another shot at a
championship is to get lucky in the draft---possibly with the Knicks' pick this
year.Winning has to do more with talent than coaching, although you
could submarine great talent with a poor coach, which Sloan isn't.
Who looks at the Jazz roster and thinks these are NBA champions? Not
many.Yet here we are...the Jazz within 1 1/2 games of the Nuggs and
a possible top 4 seeding in the playoffs. We all know they aren't
going to beat the Lakers but the Jazz are playing pretty well with the talent
and the genetics they have to put on the floor. This team is too
short. Plain and simple.Sloan is doing a pretty good job with what
he has.Jazz cop and Todd look for every scintilla of problem they
can to magnify and complain about the status of this team.FACTS say
that the Nuggets have lost to more bad teams this year than the Jazz. Why don't
you complain how pathetic, unprepared, or how poorly coached they are?Once a Sloan basher always a Sloan basher. Even a fleet of Phil
Jacksons could not coach these midget impaired jazz players to a championship so
stop asking Sloan to make a silk purse out of a sows ear.By the way,
Phil Jackson never won diddly without "coincidentally" having the #1 player in
the world on ALL his teams.
Guess who has the best record against the top 8 seeds in the W. Conference?Cleveland Cavaliers.Guess who is #2 in the league? The Jazz. The myopic mopers here on this board though are sharing
their deep basketball knowledge about how important and more concerned they are
about losing to bad teams than they are about who beats the best teams. What?Last time I checked the Jazz will be playing the best other 7
teams in the W. Conference in the playoffs NOT those in the lottery.Listening to Todd though I guess beating those lottery teams is very important
to him.If he has his wish the Jazz would play the lottery teams in
the playoffs so he could make his point.Talk about missing the
forest for the trees.Sorry to burst your bubble but when I hear
stories of championship teams I fail to recall them discussing how well they
played those lottery teams. Seems to matter a bit more how they play the other
Regarding Facts are facts: AMEN!!!!!
The Knicks have the 5th worst record. It gets better...only one team
in the NBA has more road games left than the Knicks. The Knicks have
13 of their final 21 games ON THE ROAD!!!What GM was it that
acquired this pick anyhow?Wow!!!!We could either get a
heck of a player or use it to acquire something else.Either way it
is going to be nice!!
There are a lot of complainers, and listening to them is comical. We hear
arguments like, if KOC really cared about winning he'd get us a big man with
ball handling skills who can control the paint, command double teams, pass,
block, dominate Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum, etc., etc. Until we get rid of KOC
and sloan we won't win a championship because they won't bring this player in
because they like Boozer instead.Of course, forget the fact that
this player is entirely fictional. He doesn't exist, and if he did the chances
of him wanting to play in a small town market with bad weather is pretty slim.
Also, forget the fact that this player would cost lots of money, and we would
have to dismantle our team to afford him.I don't understand why
people can't be happy with the fact that we have one of the most consistently
successful franchises in the NBA. Old rivals like the Bulls, knicks, and heat
have fallen to the ages, but the trusty Jazz are still in title contention where
they have been for decades.
Team is winning stop this non sense. Go Ak
