You were not missed Carlos. Take your time on the return because the team plays
better when you are watching. Great game today against Portland. Great energy.
And some of the missing players are back to making a greater contribution. Rest
up Boozer, we are fine.
Of course Boozer is coming back so quickly it's a contract year! If this injury
happened any other year he would have milked it for several months.
Just when the Jazz were on a roll...now it's back to losing!
Why are you guys throwing Boozer under the bus? We were playing great with him
in the lineup as well. We were already on a three-game winning streak and were
looking to win our fourth (at Portland) when Boozer got injured. The Jazz are
even better with Boozer in the lineup. Personally, I think they should start
Boozer AND Paul Millsap (Boozer at Center). Bring Memo off the bench as the
backup to both the power forward and center positions. Either way, I think
either Boozer or Millsap should always be on the floor.
Most people that make comments on here about Boozer are just haters that want to
talk crap about Boozer because of the comments he made. Remember, the people
that write on these blogs are not screened and just like to stir up trouble. It
could be some 13 year old at home writing some stupid statement because Boozer
made him mad. So, people saying these comments about Boozer are crazy, yes! The
Jazz have won 11 of last 12 and Boozer only missed three of those games.
Because dollar for dollar this guy has not earned his massive contract. Have you
forgotten how much time he has not played since he has been a Jazz player? His
coming and going because of his frequent injuries is what disrupts this team and
keeps them from really grabbing any momentum. His MO has been that his time off
is not equal to the severity of his injury and interestingly enough, even in a
contract year, he is injured again. For those reasons this team would be better
off without him. Plenty of talent go around. Shed the Booz and build around the
remaining core players. That would be the right business decision.
Lots of anti Boozer writing. Too bad you don't ask a coach of 20 years or
perhaps read what he says. You may think you are brighter or smarter or more
experienced or perhaps think an armchair coach is more valuable than one who has
done this so long.Perhaps coaching another team from your front room
would be better for you, the Warriors are always changing as are the Knicks.
Perhaps those teams would enjoy some banter about not having a premier pf play
for their team.Boozers numbers, attitude and professional style
speak for him and I am wondering what speaks for you guys who think you are a
better coach than Sloan.
Re:Great No they are not great with Boozer in lineup - Bozers stats are
great with him in lineup, he doesn't make others better around him. Just wait
till he comes back and messes things up just like last year. It is now perfect
time to trade him. Do it O'Connor!
I for one is going to be happier to see Boozer back now they are unstopable!!!!
You criticize "us" for the exact same thing that you just did, have an opinion.
You are absolutely wrong on this one. Boozer doesnt fit in here and should move
on. Perhaps watching another team from your front room would be better for you,
maybe the team that Boozer land on when he is traded.
Boozer is a great player, but Memo and Andre are better players when he is not
playing. The Jazz are getting to be a great team either with our
without him. The question is whether keeping him makes them enough better to
justify the cost.Remember, when he is not there, the other guys seem
to play better.
you never learn do you?
"Bozers stats are great with him in lineup, he doesn't make others better around
him."False.Boozer has been in the top 5 in assists among
ALL bigs in the NBA, all year long. His sneaky passes from the post to a cutter
are highly underrated and reminiscent of another interior passer from the Jazz's
history.Booz returning Saturday couldn't be better news! K-Mart has
been beastin' it and Nene causes all kinds of trouble for the Jazz. They're a
strong and big pair, so depending on only Millsap and Memo for interior defense
would be suicide.And if you think Boozer isn't needed consider this;
During the current streak, with Booz in the Jazz were winning with a +15 point
differential. With him out that has dropped to +10.7.
Sign Boozer to a long term contract, trade AK to Lakers for Walton, Move Millsap
to the 2, start Matthews at the 3, bench Brewer, Go Jazz,,
NOOOOOO! Boozer looks best behind the bench with his shiny earrings and ugly
suits. We all remember what happened last year...
houidini, what if instead of wasting energy wishing for an AK trade, you waste
it wishing he'd show up at every game like he has been for the last half-dozen
or so? wouldn't that be way more helpful right now, instead of thinking about
the future?everybody on here is so down on the jazz lineup. whine
about trades in the offseason, now is not the time.
Trade AK to Lakers for Walton?...whaaat? are you crazy or are you a Laker fan?
...well, obviously! Walton is one of those name-association draftee ...but he
looks like he belongs on a high school/average college team. GO JAZZ!!
Great points. I agree 100%. If nothing else the guys work hard for playing time
and when Booz goes down they get it. I think that is what we are seeing right
now with everyone playing well. Keep it up Jazz, Bye Bye Boozer!
The Jazz would be better without Boozer!
Boozer is horrible. Milsap can keep up these stats all year long. The guy is for
real. Whoever says he can't keep up his awesome play is crazy! Paul Rocks!!
Louisianna Tech 4 life!!!
if my memory serves correct, the jazz won five in a row with booz in the comment
and one night he had 21 and 20, he is a great big man and okur is a poser. No
one wants a big white guy that can just shoot threes. Milsap Boozer starting
together go small and fast
I see Boozer as a vacuum, he sucks the energy, the fun, the life, the game, etc.
out of his teammates. I won't deny that he has talent and can put up good
individual numbers, but I question as to whether he makes the Jazz a better team
day in and day out. He appears to be a very selfish person/player.
return to the lakers along with andrei and then the jazz get bynum???
Listen to the comments of the team, including Williams. The team comes together
when Boozer is out. They have more fun, they play better. Yes, Boozer has
numbers. But, if you have watched the Jazz, you see a team, not players going
for numbers, when he is out. There is more movement, more flow. That's to say
nothing of defense. Boozer needs to move on. Trade him for a 2 guard.
Trade Boozer and Miles for Joe Johnson.
I am not exactly sure where to post this, but as I have been watching the games
it has become apparent that Boozer is not the one the Jazz should trade, but
instead they need to trade either Miles, Brewer or Korver (but he has expiring
contract) to free up time at the 2 and 3. I am just wondering who you guys
would trade of those three.
@Haters: So if Memo were "a big [black] guy that can just shoot threes", would
people want him?
Finds it funny that the same people that were calling for Boozer's head in the
summer are now defending him to the bitter core... Yeah, that's pretty much your
typical hypocritical, fickle Utah sports fan.
C33: ridiculous comment. It is enough to see players smiling and having fun when
Boozer is not around and you do not need any stats to prove that Jazz are better
without him and enjoying it. Boozer is black hole on defense and everybody needs
to help cover his defensive lapses. Now you have all 5 guys who are hustling and
care about defense and it shows. Trade Boozer.
What player are you going to get here that is averaging 20 and 10? For cap
relief? His contract is done after the year.
There is no doubt that Boozer is a better talent than Millsap. Boozer is a
difference maker, a game changer, a first-rate talent. You simply can't watch
Boozer play without concluding that, no matter how badly people want to trash
him. Millsap is a "good" player, but Boozer is a game changer. There's a big
difference. Now, maybe Millsap fits in better with an organization
that has made larger financial commitments to two other players--DWill and AK47.
And there's nothing wrong with that. But to say that Millsap is a better
player, a more talented player, than Boozer simply does not make any sense
whatsoever.I suspect the Jazz will try to sign Boozer to a new
contract. There's no doubt the Jazz organization appreciates his dominance on
Just go ahead and trade this guy. He has one injury after another. Millsap is
awesome and should be starting. Get whatever trade you can get for this guy and
move on without him.
What diffence has he made?what game has he changed?did
you miis the playoffs against the lakers last season?I have
seen that jazz win and lose against good teams with or without him.HE MAKES NO DIFFERNCE , he is a NON factor, he simply takes
rebound opportunities and shots away from other team matesThe
story the other day said boozer is nursing an injury,I think MILKING
it is more accurate. The sooner the jazz trade him the
better.hopefully for some ono taller longer and better
defensively. The jazz obviously don't need his offense.
Your buddy the cruise ship owner would like you to be one of his greeters, ala
Wal Mart you know. We need talent here but the me only attitudes we can do
without! Your a proven commodity here, with your me first mentality. Get
something done quick management, and move on. There are too many players here
with positive attitudes and desires and the last thing we need any longer is the
ME, ME, first mentaity! How about this Boozer, Miles, Brewer and Price for
Hindrich, Deng and Thomas from the Bulls?
The 4 above mentioned jazzmen for Robinson, Jeffries, and David Lee from the
Knicks? Throw in their 1st round pk if needed as we don't need more young
players that take 4 or 5 years to mature!
Why are so many people down on getting rid of boozer? I used to be one of the
biggest Boozer fans around, but then his actions over the past couple of years
completely turned me off. I would love it if the Jazz kept Boozer
IF he can show that he truly cares about more than just a pay check. I think
the reason so many people are on here saying we should get rid of him is because
he said himself, he wants out. He's never fully retracted that statement, so I
expect that he will be gone in a year's time whether we trade him or not. Also, why should any player expect any fan loyalty after behaving so
selfishly? Players need to remember where their paychecks really come from.
Even Allen Iverson was appreciative of the 76ers fans despite being traded to
another team. A fan base had opened their hearts to him and he loved them for
it. I wish Boozer could say the same.(never thought I'd be holding
up AI as a positive role-model)
Yeah, people who hate Boozer are about 13 years old posting because they have
nothing better to do. Now go play with your Nintendo !
Hate is a very strong word Mr. Gabey. We don't hate Boozer, we just recognize
the wasted investment he has been. He took it to Cleveland so that he could land
an insane contract (reeks of me/me) and then he has not earned his pay here.
With as much sick time as he has taken his pay per game played is obscene. How
could you forget all those games that he missed? I fire prople who contribute
much more than he has for much less. Oh, and I don't hate them either, just need
more out of them for what I pay them. Now give me my Nintendo back.
