even though i do not see eye to eye in some doctrinal principles with the LDS
church, i do appreciate pres hincklesy example. I know he served his church,
community, and this nation. I am deeply saddened for the loss of a wonderful
man like him. I met him about 4 years ago and actually had a conversation with
him while I was investigatin the church. There was something definately
different about him. Rest in peace mr. hinckley
We all feel a sense of relief that you are once again united with your

We will miss you, but your teachings, example and love for us will be here for
ever. Thank you prophet! We love you.
I know, by the power of the Holy Ghost, that Gordon B. Hinckley was a prophet of
God. His love, his kindness, his wit, his humor, his skill in communicating, his
frankness, his powerful positivity, his compassion, his sincere concern, his
faith, and his determination and passion to serve God with all of his soul truly
has brought us all closer to our Savior Jesus Christ.I am sure the
Lord will forever remember President Hinckley as one of His good and faithful
servants. What an inspiration. The Lord, through this wonderful and humble
servant, has brought me closer to Heaven. May God bless Gordon B. Hinckley, and
his family--forever. May we all continue the great work of God with the same

confirm it. After, tears fell from my eyes knowing that a GREAT and A BELOVED
LEADER has passed away...Pres. Hinckley will always be remembered so
dearly. I love him and he is an inspiring man of God!
Thank you for everything Pres. Hinckley. You will be missed and remembered

we also remember your counsel and example. Godspeed Dear President
Your light will always shine in my heart.
May you enjoy your time spent now with your beloved Marjorie. You have left
behind a great legacy for those you have trained so well to follow in the
Savior's footsteps. Your love, example, your teachings and your testimony have
fired up generations to let their light shine forth and to spread the Gospel
across the world. You have put the Temple within reach of so many millions more
people so that millions can enjoy the fulness of the Gospel. President Hinckley
you have reached out to our youth with love but with firm guidelines in these
difficult times and I thank you as a mother of 7. Your counsel has comforted me
so often and lifted me up as did your challenge to our family to read the Book
of Mormon. What a blessing that was! Your personal witness of Jesus Christ has
been a powerful witness in the life of my family, particularly in the lives of
my two missionary sons.I attended your solemn assembly and was deeply moved by
the Spirit. May your family and friends be comforted and blessed at this time.

I know there is a great reunion going on tonight across the veil with our
Saviour Jesus Christ, Sister Hinckley, with family, ancestors, and friends who
have gone before, but also with all the prophets that have gone before as well.
One of Heavenly Father's sons is safely home again.Thank you,
President Hinckley, for your excellent humble example. You kept the faith,
touched many lives, and did the Lord's work throughout your life and endured to
the very end. I know you will rest in peace tonight and always. I also know
that our Saviour will have more work for you across the veil. You will be
missed on this side of the veil.To President Hinckley's family and
friends, I pray the Comforter will be with you through these difficult days. We
mourn with you. Sincerely yours, Bobbie HollisOdessa 2nd

I listened to a great man with a big heart with a lot of love in his heart. Sorry to see him leave the place i believe he felt where he was most at home

heart goes out for all the LDS faith people that loved him so much.Signed a person that still has an heart for everyone, Athiest and ex

Thanks to the marvels of the Internet, we can express our love and grief at the
loss of our Prophet from all areas on this planet. He has had an unbelievable
impact on me for decades. Daily, we observe the lives and good works
of Korean saints. We were in the midst of thousands of faithful Korean saints in
Seoul, gathered in summer 2005 with Pres. Hinckley, to celebrate 50 years of the
LDS church in Korea. I can testify to his world-wide influence for good, setting
a high example in many ways.I miss him already, but am comforted to
know that we will reunite in a better place someday, and that he has, at last,
rejoined his eternal companion and other family members. It is our
challenge now, to continue to follow our Prophet's counsel to always "just do
the best you can" to live a quality Christ-like life.
I am saddened with the death of our beloved Prophet. My sister Dorothy Perry
and her husband Don Perry lived in Governor Plaza Condos at the same time as
President Hinckly and Marjorie before they moved to the downtown appartments.
My sister was totally blind, and they were both so good to her, especially after
her husband passed away. I did meet Marjorie in her one day when she was
visiting my sister. She remained a good friend to my sister right up to the
time my sister passed away. They were both so caring and good to her. I loved
our Prophet and he will be missed, but thankful that he could be with us for 96
years, and happy he is reunited with his beloved wife. Love,Lillian B.Anhder
I remember with fondness his visits to Chorley, England. His dedication of the
Preston Temple and the joy we all experienced with him on subsequent visits -
driving around in the little electric cart - waving to the people and giving his
security nightmares!! We have him to thank for a Temple, Chapel, MTC and
accommodation all in a wonderfully landscaped site. He truly loved the area and
the people where he served in Preston on his mission.A mixture of
sadness at his passing but joy in the knowledge of his reunion with his beloved
Marjory - they were complete together. Now they are again. Thank you President
Hinckley for the love and example to the world - they did not know he was their
prophet too but loved him for his goodness. The Prophet Joseph Smith will
have much to discuss with him, they have much in common. Thanks and love to his
family who shared him with us all. "Hail to the Prophet ascended to Heaven"Livingston, Scotland
A sad day for the LDS world wide, especially the family and close friends of our
beloved prophet. May he rest in peace beside his beloved Marjorie. His
legacy will live on.
At the last session of the Nauvoo temple dedication in 2002, President Hinckley
mentioned that he hoped to someday meet the Prophet Joseph, so that he could
report what he had done with the church while it was under his watch; and with
tears he said, "I hope that Joseph will be pleased with what I have done. I have
tried my very best." Praise to the Man!
I remember when he, an apostle at the time, came to visit my small branch in
Malaysia. Just two weeks later I was in Virginia and he was there to organize a
stake. I sat right up front, and he said, "I was just in Malaysia visiting the
good saints there..." He looked right at me, and I was sure he was going to
say," and YOU were there!" Of course, that's not what happened, but having the
privilege of sitting at his feet and being taught gospel truths two times in
such a short span was truly a privilege. I love President Hinckley and will
miss him with all my heart.
How appropriate that after the many years of doing the Lord's work he is called
home to the Lord on the Lord's day. The Sabbath. The day of rest. May this
wonderful man and Prophet enjoy being reunited with his sweetheart Marjorie.
And we do Thank Thee O God for a Prophet.
President Hinckley was one of the major determinants in my decision to join the
Church. His simple faith, his wisdom and his love for everyone, member or no,
touched something in me. Even though I never had the pleasure of meeting him I
truly feel that I have lost a great and true friend.
President Hinckley, I will miss you, especially at Conference time. You lifted
and inspired me, made me laugh, made me shed tears of conviction and love for my
Savior, my family and my fellow man. Your words and sentences were so eloquent,
like a song your voice and inflections, your comedic timing, your countenance,
everything enhanced your well chosen words even more. I loved to hear your
talks. You were a Prophet. A Prophet has passed. God bless the memory of
Gordon B. Hinckley.
Our family will truly miss President Hinckley. My husband doesn't cry much, but
he did get teary-eyed last night when we found out that he had passed on to the
Spirit World. What a remarkable man he was, and was loved by all.
We love our dear Prophet President Gordon B Hinckley. We pray for comfort for his
family. We know he is a Prophet of God and is in his loving arms now.
We are happy he is with hisdear wife now. We thank him for all he has taught us and the pure love of Christ thathe had for his fellow man.
Please, those of you who visit this site with a less than positive attitude, I
ask respectfully, Not here, Not today. Gordon B. Hinckley is a man who is loved
and revered by millions of people and we mourn his loss. I must admit that I
cried upon hearing the news but I am not sad, because I know where he is and
that he is happy. President Hinckley, God be with you till we meet again!

Today I will announce the passing of our prophet to 20 youth. We will hold our
own memorial service with youth who love and respect and honor a man who asked
them to stand for something, to be smart and humble at the same time, to be
worthy for things higher and better than the world ever gives them. Yes, we
will miss his quick wit and the way he was always in touch with our needs long
after he had conquered his own Goliaths. He was 97 in years but ageless in
compassion and insight. We will love and support Pres. Monson as his successor

We visited Cove Fort as a family quite by accident once, and learned of the
Hinckley family connection to that place. I could feel that it was sacred
ground. President Hinckley will be missed by so many, and we send sympathy to
all of his family members and those who knew and worked with him closely.
I spent the last 2 years reading his works getting to know him. What a great man

Well done thou good and faithful servant.
As much as the world will miss this amazing Prophet, my first thought was, "What
a happy and wonderful reunion he is having with Marjorie." " 'Till

At President Hinckley's first news conference in the Joseph Smith Building
following announcement of his new resposibilities as President of the LDS
Church, he was asked to describe the focus of his ministry. He answered, "Carry
On." I think that is the best way we can honor and remember our beloved Prophet
Leader by making "Carry On" our personal motto. "Carry on" in the work
President Hinckley so diligently, brilliantly, inspirationally set the pace,
remembering, as he did, the debt we owe to our "pioneer forbears" while we each
do our part to prepare the world for the Savior's return. Following
a 1998 meeting honoring Sister Hinckley, my husband and I rode down the elevator
with President and Sister Hinckley. This was shortly after their trip to Ghana
in which he announced the Temple in that country. I asked President Hinkley
where he would be going next, and with typical Hinckleyesque wit he answered "To
bed, I hope!" Dear President Hinckley, Enjoy a brief, well-deserved
rest and reunion with your beloved Margorie before you don your "roller skates"
again and get back to work in the Spirit World. How we love you!Aleta

His voice was always calm and comforting and gave advice that I remember to this

After I received the news from my son Jacobs call, I got in to my knees and
preyed, I sow great rejoice and happiness in Heaven, angels with trumpeters
announcing President Hinckleys arrive, a hush congregation was waiting on him,
specially his beloved family, I could see our Heavenly Father with Jesus Christ
walking to meet President Hinckley, hugging him and saying: Well done, welcome
home! Every body celebrating and greeting him, he is very, but very happy to be

And how do we honor the memory of such a great man? He brought us temples and
asked us to use them more often, so we will. He set the standard for charity to
all nations, so we must continue to donate and reach out in love to those in
distress. He pleaded with us to be kind and loving to all mankind, to behave
like true Christians, and so we will leave our political, religious and social
differences behind us. He counseled us to be free of debt and leave the
entrapments of the world behind. There is no better way to honor this prophet of
God than to heed his counsel and "get to work"! When we honor him, we honor God.

Anything that I say at this time will surely feel inadequate to express my
feeling for President Hinckley. He was the president of the church when I was

loved the saints and expressed this love in many discourses, these I will truly
miss. Those who have gone on before us will now benefit his presents and love.

President Hinckley had been a great inspiration and a force behind my keeping to
the straight and narrow. I have never seen the man - but I have a strong
testimony of his being a true prophet. I had hoped to travel from Toronto to
Utah this year just to hear him speak. I have been inactive many times in the
past and truly "do not procrastinate the day of your salvation." Although I
have been active in church for the past year, I regret the days, months and even
years I've lost for the opportunity to hear the prophet speak. He will continue

President Hinckley has done so much good for the Lords anointed and the world.
Though his life just short of centenarian, not many could have accomplished what
he has in his century here on earth. With the Temples dedicated and
the work of the Lord going forward, his star will be a match with the seventeen
jeweled stars crowning the Holy of Holies in the Salt Lake Temple. As the fifteenth President of the Lords Church and Kingdom here on earth, his
fulfillment of revelations given to Joseph Smith in bringing the Church forth
out of obscurity and out of darkness has been an impact for good to this great
Faith born in the Americas. As the Lord has said to those who have
returned to him beyond the vail, "Well done Though good and Faithfull servant,
enter ye into the joy of the Lord." so it is with Gordon Bitner Hinckley.
I am so greatful for the many messages given by President Hinkley and for his
wise counsel. I will never forget sitting at his feet in the many Conferences.
His great work. I know that truely He is a Prophet of the Living God and that he
was called by him to accomplish the marvelous work he has done on this Earth.
Thank you for your wonderful example and May our Heavenly Father bless you and
your sweetheart through out all eternity. May your family be comforted with a
sure knowleged that all is well.
In 1997 Pres Hinckley presided over an area conference in Denver. We were
living in Colorado Springs at the time, and wanting my small children to see our
prophet in person, we drove to the arena for the conference. The arena was full,
so we had to sit in the overflow outside and watch on closed circuit TV. Above
where we were seated was a reception room with large windows. Prior to the
start of the conference, Pres. Hinckley came to the windows and waved to all of
us seated outside. My children who were 3,4,6 & 9 were convinced he was waving
to them personally- which he surely was. After he spoke, my 9 year old son
leaned over and said, "Mom, I never knew Pres. Hinckley had such a good sense of
humor!" Since that time, my children have felt a very personal connection to him
and we have loved him and tried to follow him in all we have done. We'll sorely
miss this good and humble man, but oh, what a reunion he must have had on the
other side with his beloved Marjorie. Our prayers are with his family. He has
richly blessed us all.
Thank you for who you are for what you are and for why you are. Thank you for
where you have been. Thank you for all that you have given and for the grace
and love it was given in. Thank you for truly being a representative of Jesus
Christ in word and deed.
I join in with all my brothers and sisters from accross the world to bid farwell
to our beloved prophet. You will be missed. Thank you for you inspired messages
and your unwavering faith. You are my hero!
For myself and my family I would like to express my great appreciation and love
for our Prophet. What an excellent example he was to our family, especially to
our children. I'm happy that he is reunited with the love of his life, but he
will be missed. My prayers are with his family. I so appreciate President
Hinkley's service for us as a people but also as a wonderful ambassador to the
You brought so so much dept and meaningfulness to the LDS church in all your
teachings. You have as well touched the lives and hearts of millions. Dear

Mark Twain once said:"Let us endeavor to live that when we come to die
even the undertaker will be sorry." I believe that anyone and everyone who
knew President Hinckley will mourn the loss of so great a leader and example.
Our family is proud of all that President Hinckley has done for not only the
people of the Church or the people of Utah, but for all people aroung the world.
It is with a mixture of sadness and joy that we mourn him and reflect on his
wonderful and inspirational life.God be with you and with your family at
President Hinkley is the only President of the Church that I have known. I was
baptized about a year after he was sustained as the President of the Church. As
soon as I heard him speak for the first time I knew that he was a Prophet of the
Lord. I loved to hear him speak about doctrine and anticipate his wit. I will
miss him, but am grateful that he is now out of his pain and with his wife in
I came back to the church shortly after President Hinckley became President of
the church. His words and service have inspired me throughout the years. He was
a great man and I am sure he was rejoicing as he re-joined his wife. We are
mourning the loss of a great man, but rejoicing his life. You will be truly
missed by millions.
I first want to say how blessed and grateful I am to have known a more wonderful
person to be a leader of todays world than President Gordon B. Hinckley. I am
happy for him. I am grateful for his guidance. And for his Love for the Gospel.

work. I love him. he was not just a man, he was a prophet of God!!

What an amazing man! He left a wonderful legacy. His counsel over the years has
transformed my life. I will always be grateful for his humor and guidance.
Your joy and our sadness, we will miss you at General Confrence. Your light will
shine on in our hearts always.
I would be remiss not to give honor and thanks to this Prophet of God.A
great example, a voice of truth and righteousness. With humility and a helping
hand he did the will of the Lord.President Hinkley, May you hear the
sweet words well done my good and faithful servant from him whom you served and

are now with Heavenly Father and Christ. You will always be in our hearts. We
will miss you. God Bless
All my wife could do was cry and I am crying now. He helped us in ways I will
never be able to describe. How perfect an example of how wonderful marriage will
be if we both put the Lord first in our lives.
Knowing what we do about President Hinckley, I think it's safe to assume that
he's probably already hard at work (alongside Sister Hinckley) with whatever
responsibilities have been assigned to him in the Spirit World. I think of how
happy he must be that his youthful spirit doesn't have to struggle with a
97-year old body slowing him down anymore. We'll miss you,
President, but we know you'll be as great a force for good where you are now as
you were here serving us. Thank you for your wonderful example of work and
service to others.
President Hinckley will be missed by all members of the church. What a truly
wonderful man he was.Thank you, President, Prophet, Gordon B.
Hinckley for your love and guidance. There are not words enough to express how
much I will miss you. Although, I feel quite comforted knowing that you are now
in the arms of God, and with your beloved and dear Marjorie.Thank
you for everything. I will miss you tremendously!
Our hearts and minds were enlivened when he spoke. We felt that we could be
better and do more under his encouraging counsel. We will truly miss his cheer
and optomistic perspective. May God bless his family and us as well as we
adjust to the loss of this most noble spirit.
This may be the second most anticipated reunion on the other side of the vail
ever. Im sure our Father is like a very proud father hugging his beloved servant
that served him perfectly.
We rejoice in your reunion with your sweet wife but will miss your words, wit
and humor during General Conference. Thankfully the gospel will help confort
those you leave behind. Till we meet again..Bill & Ann
You will be very missed! Thank you for living your life in a way that changed
all of ours for the better!
As everybody, I was in shock when I heard the news this afternoon about the
passing of our beloved prophet Gordon B. Hinckley. He was such a wonderful man
and I love him so much.I express my tender love to the family and
friends that he has all over the world and I know that he will truly be missed.
I thank him for his counsel and his wonderful sense of humor and I will never
forget him as long as I live. Thank you President Hinckley for your testimony
and your love for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.I
know that your reunion with your beloved wife must be absolutely heavenly.Lucie MartialChamplain WardOttawa, Ontario Canada
I loved his clarion call to be cheerful and always kind. It was a privilege and
blessing to have him with us as long as we did. What a wonderful thing to be led
by a true and living Prophet, and while he lives a vast hole in my heart, we'll
soon be loving another great man called to be our Prophet! Our
prayers go out to his family, as well as President Monson, the remaining First
Presidency, and the Quorum of the Twelve at this tender time.
My family and all brazilian members are sad by passing of President Hinckley.
Certainly we will miss him, his way of teaching the gospel and his spirit at

wonderful example of faith and endurance till we meet again. May his family be

We are converts. The first time we heard the Prophet speak, before we joined
the church, I realized this was a great man and I was humbled by the way he
spoke lovingly and respectfully about his wife. In the 8 years we have been
members I have always looked forward to hearing Pres. Hinckley speak. He made
me laugh with his sharp wit and he made me cry when I felt the Spirit working
through and in him. I grieve our temporal loss of his marvelous presence and I
rejoice that he is truly home again.
My family and I are thankful for President Hinkley's wonderful love, spirit,
guidance, and example that he set for us. What a wonderful man of God! Just
listening to him talk and feeling his great spirit reaching out to us lifted our
hearts and our spirits and gave us hope and the desire to keep the commandments
and live the gospel. We are so thankful for the gospel plan and for our eternal
families. What a sad and happy time this is. Our lives are richer and better
because of this great man.
We send our deepest sympathy and prayers to Pres. Hinkley's Family and want to
thank them for sharing their wonderful father with the world. We love that great
and spiritual man. And we know that he is now with his wife and the other
leaders of the church who have already gone "home". We will truly miss him. 'God
be with you till we meet again'
We miss you, President. We love you. My CTR 8 primary class selected President
Hinckley as their favorite prophet for an upcoming class presentation. All of
the children love President Hinckley so much, including our grandchildren, a
love shared by us all. God bless the Hinckley family, and God bless the Quorum
of the Twelve.
The tears roll down my cheeks but I am so happy for the glorious reunion beyond
our reach. We'll never forget our dear prophet and friend and his magnificent
life of love and pure example. May the Lord comfort those who grieve - may we
honor his legacy by our lives as we lovingly remember those things taught by his
selfless, continuous example. We love and miss you, dear prophet. We know you
are overjoyed to be where you are now.
We have been blessed by such an individual that communed with Jesus Christ. He
lived what they both taught. May we all try a little harder to live by his
example. We know he is receiving his rewards and with loving wife. Thank you
Father in Heaven for allowing us to have him as our leader for such a long time.
God our Father and Jesus Christ, is with him.
Thank you, President Hinckley for the wonderful person that you are, and for
blessing our lives so deeply. There are no words to express how much we loved
and appreciated you. You were one of the most excellent examples of love and
goodness here on earth. We loved your wonderful sense of humor. You were a
brilliant and genuine person in every way. You and Marjorie were a
GREAT EXAMPLE to all who love so deeply. Your love has touched our lives
personally with much love and happiness forever.
My ward found out at Ward Prayer. The meeting was somber. We sang We thank thee
oh God for a Prophet and My Redeemer Lives, the song the Prophet had written. We
all knelt in prayer and thanked the Lord for blessing us with the chance to grow
up listening to President Hinckley. He will be missed...
What a great man, what a great example of the gospel in action. We were a young
couple in Europe in 1971 and met my old seminary teacher Marge Reeve at the Gen.
Walker Hotel in Bertschesgarten for a Service Men's Conference. Elder Hinckley
and several other general auth were there. We've always felt close to him and
have loved his humor, reality and ability to tell us what we all need to hear in
such a loving way. How blessed to be led by such men.
Words sound so hollow went the heart and mind is so full of sentiment for this
great man. The world is poorer today for his passing. Yet, the stone rolls
President Hinckley has elevated me. I will never forget the feelings coming to
my heart at every general conference when he walket to the pulpit. I was always
waiting for that very moment; the time to listen to that excepcional man, the
prophet of The Lord. A time to be taken to an unforgettable spiritual higesth. I
love him and so do my family. I know he is now in the happy comapanion of hes

of all to be Christlike to anyone we encountered. Our children love him and will
miss him, but they have the assurance they will see him again someday.Thank you,

Our hearts are so full of love for Pres. Hinckley We are very saddened for his
passing but so excited for his reunion with Sister Hinckley. What a great day
in Heaven it must have been. We will truly miss him.We were blessed to be
in Arco Arena in Sacto.,Ca. with him. All the kids who were performing were
sitting on the floor and were told not to stand. But the moment he enter the
room the spirit over took them and they all stood and cheered. What a great
moment to see our youth know how great this man was. And have the love and
respect for him. The spirit was over whelming I can't remember a time I had
felt it so strong it was wonderful to be in his presence. I was grateful our
daughter could experience it. She will never forget that feeling nor us. Thank
you for all your years of service and sacrifice for us President Hinckley. We
love you and will remember you always.
Estou certo de que ele est em um lugar muito bom. O Pai Celestial vai guard-lo

The Church has lost a great man, leader, and a magnificient Prophet! May the
HEAVENLY FATHER bless his family, as we know HE will. May the HEAVENLY FATHER
bless our next President & Prophet. He will have very big shoes to fill, as
President Hinckley was truly a man of GOD. His actions, personality, and the
good work that he done, will be hard to "out-do!" But, we all know that GOD is
in charge, and our next Prophet & President, will do just that. Our family says;
GOD bless you Gordon B. Hinckley, now go to your rest! You truly deserve it!
Thank you Gordon B. Hinckley for being a shining example of commitment to the
truth of Heavenly Father and His Son whom appeared to young Joseph Smith jr. who

the Lord to continue to endure till the end and to always spread the message of
Christ that he lives and we can return to him fully restored to our families if
we so choose. Thanks for leaving this world wide church with such a wanting

Last night I was reading the text from a BYU Devotional he gave about the 13th
Article of Faith. Without a doubt he exemplified about which he spoke. Perhaps
the last two Mormons to hear the news, we learned of his passing this morning
when my sister called. I will miss him dearly and he will always hold a special
place in my heart. Til we meet again!
Our deepest condolences to the all the many family and friends of President
Hinckley. We feel a great sense of loss and yet a happiness that he is with his
beloved Marjorie. He was truly a prophet of God and we love him very much and we
will miss him greatly.
I love this great man and appreciate his willingness to bless my life and so
many others across the world as he served and spread truth and was such a great
force for good.
Thank you for your life, example, love and leadership. Thank you for the Temple
in Johannesburg, where I am now serving. Thank you dear President Hinckley for
continuing without Sister Marjory and our deep gratitude to her and all your
family for sharing you with the whole world. What peace and joy to know without
any doubt that you will be together again and that you heard Him say; "Well done
Thou good and faithfull servant."
How we will miss this giant of a man. President Hinckley was obviously the
Lord's choice for this season the earth's history. He was kind, inspired, and
just plain 'right'.
We will miss you, your wisdom and uplifting words. Thank you for the decades of
service performed on our behalf. Thank you for being such a spokesman of

patriotic Christians with love for all mankind.I am happy to know
that you are surrounded by your wife, parents, family and friends. Your legacy
will endure forever. All our love and gratitude to you.
Our whole family will miss Pres. Hinckley. He was our children's Prophet, the
one they have grown up knowing. My daughter said, "I wish he could have lived
forever". "He will", I replied. Our prayers are with his family, but know the
joy he and his wife are experiencing as they re-unite. The world is a better
place because God gave him to us for a time.
Our family home evening lesson tonight is on "kindness." I can't think of a
better example of kindess and goodness than President Hinckley. If we could
all, as he would say, "do little better" in showing kindness and tolerance to
those around us, this world would be a much better place. The media keeps
talking about President Hinckley's legacy. I think it's simple. His legacy is

I am very saddened by President Hinkley's passing, but yet have felt now some
joy in the fact he is with his beloved wife and is walking with our Heavenly
Father. Such a great man, a great servant and prophet, and yet so
humble. He always wished for God's children to treat each other with love and
respect, no matter the race, religion, colour, gender, culture or nationality of
each person. I hope we will continue to do so.All love to President
Hinkley's family and friends as well.
We were just finishing a ward fireside when we heard the news of Pres.
Hinckley's passing. I assured my ward members, "We were all wondering if Pres.
Hinckley would be able to attend our Temple Dedication next Sunday. The answer
is yes... Both Gordon B. Hinckley and Jesus will be in Rexburg on February
3rd." I'm sure they won't miss it.
I feel that I've lost my best friend. My other best friend, My Dad, passed away
on January 3, 2008. What a blessing and comfort to me and my family to know
that President Hinckley and my Dad are there together. My Dad was a great man

can show our love for him by working hard to live the way he counseled. God

Your teachings will be missed in conference. welcome home.
While we mourn the death a of our beloved prophet, many are rejoicing in a happy

service and love to the world. We will miss him but will join him someday in
our eternal home. He and his eternal companion, Marjorie, are together again.
My Heavenly Father bless his earthly family.
All who heard him felt that he loved them. I will remember his wisdom, his
humour, his prophetic counsel and his love. He was a true ambassador of Jesus
Christ in word and deed. He loved the Britain where he served his mission and
the Saints over here considered him one of their own. He was quite simply, the
outstanding leader of his generation and when the true history of this world is
written, his name will be revered among the great ones.
Thank you for the inspirations, examples and testimonies. You will always be in
our hearts. May your reunion be as glorious as the glory of the celestial
kingdom. Fair well my beloved prophet. Until we meet again.
To the dear Hinkley family,We send our love and deepest sympathy for the
loss of your sweet father, grandfather, and great grandfather, as well as our
dear prophet. When years ago, his father wrote him the letter on his own mission
that would change his life, that said, "forget yourself and get to work," he
instantly took that to heart, never looked back, and from that moment on, wore
out his life in service to his Father in Heaven. May we all live up to the
legacy and great example he leaves. He inspired everyone he met. President
Hinkley, you will so be missed.
God be with you 'til we meet again. Ole a le fa'agaloina oe i o matou agagaSoifua.
Pres. Hinckley will be truly missed! I'm glad that he was one of the prophets!
He showed people that LDS church members are kind & good people. He was a great
person & a wonderful leader of the church!-Monica
We will miss President Hinckley terribly! I had the opportunity of meeting him &
what a kind, gracious, loving man! He always made you feel that you were the
most important person in the room! The Lord truly inspires our leaders! As we
mourn our loss of this great man, think of the great reunion & rejoicing in
heaven! He is with the prophets of old! Our beloved prophet Joseph Smith, Jr. I
amsure was there to welcome him with open arms! He is with his beloved Marjorie!
May our apostles continue & know that they too are loved very much! God Bless
you all - until we meet again!
As for being a Member in the LDS Church for over 50 years now, in the St
Petersburg 1st Ward, in Florida, My Family and I are sure going to miss
President Hinckley, from when he started back in 1995, and came out with The
Family: A Proclamation to the World, "Further, we warn that the disintegration
of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the
calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets. We call upon
responsible citizens and officers of government everywhere to promote those
measures designed to maintain and strengthen the family as the fundamental unit
of society.RIP my Brother.
I cannot find the words to say how I feel about our beloved Prophets passing.
Just tears flow and I think of the example he set for all the world. His sweet
voice and the love he had for all. I will miss him,but I know that he is with
his wife. They are together again, as promised by our Lord that we will be
reunited with our loved ones again. He will be missed so much by so many.
President Hinckley,Thank you for your love and great example. I never met
you, but I always felt that if I did you would care about me. You truly had the
Savior's image in your countenance.
Nuestro admirado Profeta finalmente esta con su amada esposa a quien tanto
extraaba. Our Prophet finally is with his beloved wife.
Tears fill my eyes when thinking about the loss by the death of our Prophet.
Although he was high in age it was, as he would never leave the members of the
church. Althoug living in Germany, we allways felt very close to him.But
the knowledge of resurrection, eternal families (especially the reunion with his
wife Marjorie) and his life and his acts comfort me in my sorrow. From
Germany, I'd like to address my compassion to his family, his close fellow men
among the General Authorities and all those, who feel sad.
President Hinckley you are finally reunited with your Eternal Companion. I am
sure that the reunion shall be glorious beyond mere mortal words. When an Oracle
of God comes home the reuniting with other past Prophets shall be a great
meeting in the Heavens. To help bring the pass of Eternal Life to Man within all
spheres. God be with you until we met again.
This is a true loss to the entire world. Although, President Hinckley has now
been reunited with his wonderful loving wife, and that was what he most wanted
in the end. We as a family will miss him terribly! He meant so much
to our family. I'm certain though, that the Prophet, president Hinckley is
enjoying all his family and the many Prophets who have passed before him.I hope he will say hello to my Mormon Pioneer ancestors as well. Our prayers go towards his wonderful children. God bless you all!
Thank you for your great example of service and love. Thank you for helping me
gain a better tesimony of the Restoration of the Gospel. You will be very
missed. Thank you for everything.
Dear President Hinckley, we will miss you and look forward to seeing you again!
Thank you for all the wisdom you have passed on to us from our Savior Jesus
Christ. I am thankful to have met you and been able to serve you, even in a very
small way. I am thankful for your example of love and service and acceptance of
everyone. We are also very happy for you and your sweet wife, to be together now
for all eternity! You are one of a kind will be greatly missed by all who ever
had an opportunity to hear you speak. Our condolences to your sweet family, we
know they will miss you, but will also look forward to being with you as an
eternal family. You have strengthen my testimony of Jesus Christ and our
Heavenly Father. We are eternally thankful for your being saved for these
latter-days. Til we meet again!
He fought a good fight and has finished his course. It has been heart-warming
to read the comments of love and respect from around the world. May we always
remember Gordon B. Hinckley as a true man of God, a servant of the Lord, and a
friend and brother to all. On behalf of my family may I just say that we love
President Hinckley and that he will be sorely missed.
President Hinckley was and will remain an awesome man of God, our family will
miss him dearly. But we know that life does not end here and neither will his
service. There is much for him to do on the other side, to prepare for the
return of the Savior. And alas, he is once again with his sweetheart! What an
awesome sense of humor that will be remembered and missed at the same time!!
We are eternally grateful for great men like Gordon B. Hinckley. Though we never met him personally, we can testify that he was a Prophet of
God. He has blessed our family immensely by being a humble servant, who was
steadfast and immovable in carrying the work forward. He truly helped lead the
Church out of obscurity. May the blessings of Heaven be poured out
upon his family here on earth, and may his reunion be sweet with those he has
been reunited with.We love you President Hinckley
What an awesome Man of God President Hinckley was and is. Because of the Gospel
we know that his service will not end at his death, but that he will continue on
to prepare for the return of the Savior.Alas, he is once again with his
sweetheart what a day it must be for him. Although we will mourn for his
absense, we will remember all that he added to our lives. His wisdom, love, and
knowledge of the gospel will be passed on through the generations. His awesome
humor will be sorely missed as well. It is a sad and yet a happy day. His
journey here is done and so he begins another one. Home with all the other
propehts, home with God.
My heart is saddened to know that I will not hear his words this coming
Conference, words that through the years have lifted me up and inspired me.
Thank you for the many years of service. What a remarkable man! I am in awe,
thinking of all that he accomplished. He had a way of giving me hope and I will
truly miss him.
A truley remarkable human being. He was an inspiration to me and my family in
Logan, Australia. My 8y old grandson was emotionally saddened when I conveyed
the passing of Pres Hinkley to him. He will be missed but aptly able to say to
his Maker "that I have had done the assignment that thou gavest me"
In the process of choosing a new stake president in the Auburn Washington
Stake, Pres. Hickley interviewed the local stake leaders for their
recommendations. I was privaleged to spend some 1 on 1 time with him and had a
very pleasant time. My grandfather's brother was a neighbor to him in the East
Millcreek area and served as Stake Patriarc while he was the Stake President.
Also, as we talked about my being an Audiogist by profession, I realized the
great sacrifice he made by his many trips by air around the world as he told me
of the frequent middle-ear problems he had which were exasperated by the
frequent altitude changes, even in pressurized aircraft. His only public
comment regarding the condition was when he remarked at General Conference that
he was using a cane because of bouts with vertigo (episodic dizziness).
Dizziness is only one of the middle-ear problems as extreme earaches are part of
the syndrome. Obviously, these problems didn't slow him down and many parts and
peoples of the world were privleged to have personal contact with this great man
Reunited with his beloved Marjorie, a time to celebrate in President Hinckley's
life, I'm sure. I will miss his quiet humor in conference addresses, and the
quiet confidence he instilled throughout the church. A triumphant life and a
personal inspiration to me.
"We Thank Thee O God For A Prophet": We extend our deepest of sympathies to the
Hinckley family. This sure is a very sad for us because of his
passing, but his reunion with his beloved wife Marjorie is of joy and love. His life and exemplary leadership will be missed greatly. He is a man
of wisdom who has always taught us all what we must do and how we must carry on.
President Hinckley has always stood as a remarkable example of service and
humility. We love you President Hinckley and we will miss hearing
your voice during conferences and devotionals. Your teachings will always live
forever in our hearts.
How we will miss this great prophet leader. My heart is sad that we will not
hear him speak this coming April at Conference, but I am thrilled that he has
been reunited with his beloved Marjorie. I am so grateful for this glorious
gospel and the seamless way the church continues to be governed on the death of
it's leader. We thank Thee O God for A Prophet.
Pres. Hinckley was truly a prophet of God and will be greatly missed. He was
the temple builder of the church and I have the opportunity being an ordinance
worker in a temple that he dedicated. We had the opportunity to hear him one
last time 2 weeks ago at our Regional Stake Conference for 90 stakes in
California. What a strength and comfort he is to my spirit of knowing he was
given to us for such a long time. He will be truly missed and I'm grateful for
the opportunity of knowing him and feeling the spirit he generated each time he
spoke and having the opportunity of seeing him in person at General Conference
last October. I'll never forget that experience. I'm so glad he is reunited
with his dear Marjorie.
The outstanding feature of this prophet is that he was led by the Savior who
commissioned the divine authority of the church by direct revelation. We
love our Savior and his beloved prophet, President Gordon B. Hinckley. Thank you
President Hinckley for making this world alittle more like the life of the
Savior. A servant leader and a teacher of the gospel of peace. May the Lord
bless the families and the quorum of the 12.
Even though we missed our beloved Prophet, we know he is happily reunited with
his beloved companion, Majorie. We named our youngest son, Bitner, and though he
is only 4 years old, he has a great love for the prophet and when I told him
that President Hinckley passed away, he sadly said "Poor Prophet Hinckley!"Thank you President Hinckley for your unconditional love and for your great
examples. You brought a lot of blessings for us here in Samoa when you came for
our Temple dedication. We will greatly missed you during this coming General
Conference. You are a great hero of these latter days! Our prayers and
thoughts are with the Hinckley families.Best Regards from The

We, too, offer our condolesces and love at the passing of our beloved, and
special prophet. What a glorious example of a Chistian, a man, a father, a
husband and a leader he was. We will deeply miss him and his strength. Til' we
meet again. God bless you President Hinckley. The Strong Family of Port Lions,
this was a man who loved his fellow men and one of the greatest of gods prophets
on the earth we all love you and miss you my family are saddened by your death
but happy for your Reunion with your beloved wife and our Heavenly Father
My prayers to President Hinckley's family. May the Lord comfort you in this sad
time. We will miss him "Our Beloved Prophet."
"In our eternal journey we take one step at a time. In doing so we move toward
the unknown, but faith lights the way. If we will cultivate that faith we shall
never walk in darkness." Thank you, President Hinkley for this beautiful quote
as well as many others. You have greatly influenced our humble family.
The church as well as the world has lost a great leader. He was a prophet to
the world. I and my family will miss him tremendously.
I am so sorry about this our beloved prophet. He could enter deeply in
the hearts of all of us. I saw him in person for three times; the last time, in
the ocassion of the dedication of the Caracas temple, the Spirit testified me
that he was a true prophet of God. He will really miss him very much and his
inspired messages full of wisdom and love. He is an example of awhat a
member of the Curch must do to be a real servant of God. I will always remember
him. Valencia, VenezuelaBarrio La Candelaria
"We thank thee of God for a Prophet to guides in these latter days."As we
mourned President Hinckley's passing, we rejoice as he meets his beloved wife
Marjorie. Though he has gone passed the veil, his teachings and love for the
people will remain in our hearts and minds for generations to come.May the
Lord continue to embrace his wonderful family here on earth. We will deeply
miss your comforting words, humor at conference and your Christlike attributes
President Hinckley but we will await for the time when we will meet again.Love,Broomhead Family
How sad we are at this news. What a wondrful Leader & Teacher President Hinckley
was. May we all strive to be the Lords servent as he was. We will forever keep
you in our hearts. We love you.
Member of Garland,Tx 4th Ward. We love you in Texas!
"The World Mourns?" Please. Give me a break. This is a huge story in Utah.
Outside the borders it'll barely be a blip on the radar. A brief mention on the
back pages of most daily papers.
Dear, Dear President Hinckley, I haave read so many wonderful words of
comfort and praise for a kind and loving Prophet who has been called back home
to be with his eternal companion again. What a joyous reunion! Your loyal
leadership will never be forgotten by our entire church membership and world
leaders everywhere. Your truly perfect example life has touched millions of
people for good everywhere. My love and sympathy to your family, may they
find solace and peace in knowing they will someday be reunited with their kind
My family in the Philippines as well as millions of Filipino Saints mourn the
passing of the prophet of our time. President Hickley never failed to express
his love for the Saints from the isles of the sea. He dedicated the Philippines
to the preaching of the gospel and it has blessed the lives of so many. When he
visited the Philippines in 1996, my family traveled a long ways just to catch
even glimpse of the prophet of God. When we saw him, tears just trickled down
our cheeks. Little did I know that I would come to as close to President
Hinckley as I could ever wish for when I came to Utah and was priviledged to
attend the Filipno Conference broadcasted during the Visayas-Mindanao Regional
Conference last April 21, 2007. I had the same emotions I had back then when I
first saw the prophet in my homeland. He is a man of God. It is but
bitter-sweet to know that he is leaving us to claim his reward for a life very

Twelve and the General Authorities of the Church. He was a wonderful Prophet
and man, and was much loved by all members. He will be greatly missed, and I know
he is now with his beautiful wife, Marjorie and other family members. We all
have been blessed greatly by his presence in our lives.
A man of God has done his job and the lord has called him home to be reunited
with family and friends. What a marvelous reunion it will be to see those who
had gone before and embrace on the other side of the Vail.Till we
President Hinkley, Thank you for your example. I will truly do all i can as a
Bishop to serve the Lord with all my heart, mind and strength. Arohanui
It came to my attention today that the wonderful youth that attend Basha High
School in Chandler, AZ wore their Sunday dress clothes as a sign of respect to
honor Pres. Hinckley. How wonderful, in this day and age that a man of 97 can
evoke love and inspiration in teenagers, that they would wear white shirts and
ties and Sunday dress to a high school where they are very much in the minority.
These Mormon kids have at times been mocked for their beliefs, but their desire
to show respect to their prophet was more important than fitting in with the
group. What a tribute and what love he has inspired. What a most special man.
What an awesome man of God!! President Hinckley will be missed, but the gospel
tells us that life does not end here. I'm sure he will continue to work with
vigor to bring forth the return of the Savior. Alas he is with his sweetheart
once again, what joy must fill his heart. Our family will miss his energy, his
knowledge, his strength and his awesome humor. I can only imagine the other
great spirits he will be mingling with who have served as diligent as himself!
What a reunion!!
We are not to morn, that is but feeling sorry for ourselfs. He is apart of us
all now and that's all we wanted while he was alive, to be more like him. Now we
have a choice, if we truely loved him then he will forever be apart of us all.
Be not afriad for I bring you -------------. Let us join all together as one in
his memory and in celibration of life for I know that's what he wanted while he
was alive, so let's do it now, for him. May Gods light shine around us for now
he's apart of that for always and always, if he is not here then where is he?
look no further then your own and your loved ones hearts, I assure you he is
there. Let us go one more time to the mountain of truth, love and beauty and see
everywhere and everything a shinning example of a life lived from his heart to
ours. Do not cry for our loss but rejoice in a life well spent and not a day
waisted in service to his beloved family and all of as much. Look up and be
What a great Prophet!!! We loved him so much and I know he was a true Prophet
of God. I always looked forward to his talks and could not wait to hear his
words of inspiration. I knew that everything he said was for the benefit of the
Church members. But I do recall him saying he was the Prophet no one listened
to. We are going to miss him so much and his cute humor as well. He loved all
people and he told them so and he would always tell the members to be a little
kinder toward others. He loved people of all faiths and I am sure they felt a
great admiration toward him. Who wouldn't? I am thankful he was the Prophet
when my children were teenagers. I know his counsel helped my children become
who they are today. I will truly miss him and so many others will too. We thank
thee oh God for a Prophet who guides us in these latter days and he most
president hinkley woke me up to the gospel! he truely was and is amazing! just
imagine how he would be recieved by Heavenly Father, the Saviour and also his

We heard of President Hinckley's sad passing away, 3 hours after it happened.
He came to Hobart, Tasmania about 5 years ago. I felt privileged to
shake his hand. He gave me a smile and then looked kindly into my soul. I on
the other hand was speechless and shocked at his youthful appearance. I hope now President Hinckley can have his wish granted, and sit in a rocking
chair with quiet music in the background and dedicate his time to his beloved
I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our Beloved Prophet. When I
called my 16 year old Granddaughter Danielle to tell her, she expressed sorrow
and was concerned with the idea of anyone else being our Prophet. I realized he
was the only Prophet she ever knew, like so many young people in the church but
that is the great beauty of the Gospel!! There will be more great prophets to
lead the church. This one was a truly unique and beloved one but imagine the
joy he is having with his Marjorie and with his dear Mother and Father and the
great men and women who preceded him!! We will miss you and love you always and
you will always hold a special place in the hearts of your people. We will meet
again. With love
I am so greatful to have been taught by one of themasters. His constant
reminder to be a little morekinder, caring, forgiving and loving were a
blessingin my life.I love, honor and respect President Hinkley. He always
brings a smile to my face and an insentive to try harder to live the
Gospel.I willmiss him very much.Thank you for the great example!!
My family and I are from New Zealand and we would like to show our respect to
our beloved President Gordon B Hinckley who has passed away. Since I joined the
Church in 1995, I came to know the Prophet by: videos, video conference, Temple
Dedications, Ensign mag, live Conference and many more ways. I was told at
church to learn the character of our Prophets. I love our Prophet so much. He
has counsel so many people and given me hope. I will always remember him to be a
very wise and humble man. He was always engaged in Church activity and always
did a good days work. I am so greatful for being in this dispensation where I
came to know The President Gordon B Hinckley.
We feel sad, that was our initial feelings when we learned of our Prophet's
passing, but then we almost feel gratitude knowing he is in a better place, and
knowing he is with our Heavenly Father and his wife. We will miss all about him
and his great example and leadership in our church. Our children were
born, baptized, learned to say their testimonies the time he is our prophet. We
feel privileged to know of his faith, love to us and of his service to all. We
love him and always be in our hearts. Till we meet again, Prophet Hinckley.
I feel privileged having known such and extraordinary human being. He was a true
Prophet. His counsel, love, and example marked my life. I thank our Heavenly
Father for the blessing of having him as our leader. I will miss him very much.
WE WILL TRULY GOING TO MISS OUR BELOVED PROFHET ,PRESIDENT HICKLY !!WITH
GRADITUDE AND GREAT LOVE FOR YOU !!THA AYALA - CADENAS FAMILYFROM
SAN MARCOS, CALIFORNIA
Our family were truly sad at the passing of our beloved Prophet but happy for
him as he will be with his wife. When investigating the church about 14 years
ago, it was President Hinckley speaking at an April conference on Easter Sunday
which the Spirit spoke to my heart that this man is truly a man of God and this
church and gospel are true. Our love and prayers are with the Hinckley family.
Oh my goodness! Can you imagine the joy and delight that occured beyond the veil
when our dear Prophet was reunited with his sweetheart of so many years? I know
that twinkle in his eyes is still there, and he is in great company! Well done
thou good and faithful servant, well done!May God keep watch over his
family during this difficult time, and help them to know we love them and are
thinking of them.
We are deeply saddened by our dear Prophet's death but we also have the joy in
our hearts knowing that he is now reunited with his beloved companion. Pres.
Hinckley has made a tremendous impact in the life of our family as converts. We
always looked forward to the conferences and the beautiful messages he always
delivered. Pres. Hinckley will continue to live in our hearts. We love him
dearly. We have been truly blessed by his remarkable example.
I loved President Hinckley. I had the honor and privilege of seeing him in
person and although there were thousands in the room I felt like he was talking
just to me and he was my personal friend. That is how he made people feel. He
was an exceptional man and my family will miss him terribly, but we are very
thankful for the knowledge of eternal families and we know he is rejoicing in
heaven with his wife Margie. May we all gather strength and press forward in
rightousness through the examples and life of this great Prophet. He has truly
blessed our lives forever.
Thank you for your devotion and being such an inspiration in my life. And thank
you for having the same birthday as myself. President Hinckley you will be
missed but we rejoice in your exaltation.
My family and I are very sadden to hear about the passing of President Hinkley.
My Wife was baptized in the same year that President Hinkley was called to be
our Prophet. Our Daughter was also baptized while Presdent Hinkley was our
Prophet. We were hoping that President Hinkley would live until after our Son
would be baptize which will be this Sat. Feb 2nd. Our prayers goes out to the
Hinkley's famlies and to all of us as members of the Church of Jesus Christ Of
Latter-Saints. We will miss him very very much.
We are deeply sadden of the passing of our dear Prophet Gordon B Hinckley. but,
we know he is reunited with his Beloved Marjorie. God Bless the Hinckley
Meq, there are 13 million members of the church worldwide, the majority of which
are outside of the state of Utah. So indeed, there are mourners worldwide. I
don't understand your need to attack the notion that this great man was beloved
throughout the world, which he definitely was. I stood in a stadium of 100,000
people in Rio De Janeiro who had come to hear him speak. Also, if the world
mourning is based on where in the paper it is located, as you seem to indicate,
it was the head story on CNN.com last night.
Thank you for the years of dedication and sacrifice President Hinkley. It's
hard to say goodbye to one of my true heros in life. Til we meet again!
no words can adequately express what an amazing man President Hinckley is! a
spiritual giant...a man of uncompromising integrity, 'steadfast and
immovable'...yet one of the most humble, loving, compassionate and approachable
men ever to walk this earth! i am in awe as i think of the millions of lives he
has touched...his life, example and positive impact has left a lasting legacy.
as much as we will surely feel the absence of such an incredible leader...i am
comforted as i imagine the glorious reunion and welcome home celebration that
has taken place with his beautiful wife, his beloved parents and family, and all
those that had been awaiting his arrival back to his heavenly home. how
grateful i am for the knowledge that life is eternal. i love you now and
forever, my beloved prophet...til we meet again, may our Savior wrap you in his
loving embracewith reverence and love...the marshall family
On behalf of all the missionaries through out the world who were called to their
missions by this great Prophet, may we say "Thank You" for your example and
faith in us to carry on the great work that you have called us to do. We honor
you and will do our best to finish the work of the Lord where ever we are
serving. You are our inspiration of enduring to the end. Peace be with you and
your family now.
The greatest tribute to our beloved dead is to translate our love for them to
others, still amoungst us on this side of the veil. I gotta'
believe that President Hinkley wants us to continue to press on with our
collective mission. Except as it related to his lovely wife, President Hinkley
never seemed to be overtly sentimental.
Thank you President Hinckley for all your love and prayers on our behalf! We
love you and miss you but can look forward to seeing you once again!
President Hinckley came closer to what I imagine my heavenly Father to be than
any man I have known. His love and compassion, his unending joy and optmisim,
his approachability, his wisdom. He just got kinder and more loving as he got
older. He was suffused with light and a great example of hope. I will miss him
especially at conference. I often wished that he would just stand at the podium
and talk for the last two hours of conference, that we could all soak up his
spirit and love. Oh, how lovely. You are missed already and will long be
Thank you beloved President Hinckley. Words are not enough for all your love and
kindness to all around the world. Rest in God's tender care and enjoy your
muchly deserved reward in heaven with your beloved wife.Till we meet
again..Peace and Love !
I thank God that I was blessed to have had the benefit of this great Prophet.
He was an inspiration to all who heard him -- if they were in tune with the
Spirit at all. I loved him as though he were a dear personal friend and
followed his counsel as nearly as I could. I also have great
respect for President Monson and pray for in his behalf that he will have the
strength to carry on the heavy load of leading this great Church.
The world has truely lost a Prophet of God, A holy man, a saint. His voice,
council, dedication, faith strength and conviction has been engraven into my
mind and spirit. I Hope that we can all follow his footsteps as he followed the
Lord's.God Bless you President Hinckley. I am greatfull to God for
your service and faithfulness.
What an amazing man! I can only imagine how sacred it must have been in the
Spirit World the moment Pres. Hinckley entered. I am so grateful for the
opportunity to gain a testimony of the truth while Pres. Hinckley was our
beloved prophet. I am so grateful to have felt his love for me and for all every
time he spoke. I am so grateful for God's great plan of happiness and that the
work will roll forth and that He will continue to communicate to his children
here on earth through a living prophet!
President Hinckley, I love you so very much. I have had the privilege of seeing
you, and your lovely wife, several times. You did so much and did it so well. I
will always try to " be a little better" because of your love, wisdom, wit and
spirituality. I hope to meet you, someday, and give you a great, big hug!
President Hinckley was truly a Prophet of God, and I thank our Heavenly Father
for him and for President Hinkley's sincerity. He has a strong, beautiful and
vibrant testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know the Savior
has welcomed him home with open arms saying, "Well done my good and faithful
servant." May our Heavenly Father grant peace and happiness to you President
Hinckley and to your dear wife Margorie. My wife Michelle and I are
saddened at his passing. We both know he is having a joyous reunion now with his
dear wife, family, church leaders and associates who have passed on before
through the veil of death. We will love and miss you, President Hinckley. I will miss your talks in general conference and priesthood meetings
they are such a comfort for me. Until we meet again. We will roll up our sleeves
and get to work.
"World mourns"? Read the story. Utahn's everyone. That is not the world. Trust
me, in Tennessee, only the LDS mourn. Nobody else knows squat, or cares, and
it's a decent place. "The World" does not have a clue. Write a better story,
without the Planet Utah mentality.
I miss President Hinckley. I am most grateful the Lord allowed him to be with us
so long. I have learned so much from him. He is having a wonderful experience
being in the presence of his wonderful wife. He also will be greeted by the
Great Ones of the Kingdom. I do beleieve that President Gordon B. Hinckley is
one of the most significant Prophets in history. It is difficult to imagine the
millions of blessings that have been received on both sides of the veil because
of his hard work to make temples avaiable for so many souls.
My heartfelt condolence to all the Family members as wells as the members of the
Church of Jesus Christ of latter saints . I still recollect the day I met
President Hinckley in New Delhi when he was no world Tour in year 2005 .Looking into his eyes, I knew he was a Prophet of God. His voices
confirmed the message the God would have us listen. I know he is wonderful
leader, an exampler and man of vision to lead and build.Being part
of this church for 14 years, I know that He has led the Church the way the lord
would want the church to grow. We love President Hinckley, we would miss him but
His word and his example will live in our life."His legacy would
continue and God be with you till we meet again, President Hinckley-Praveen and Sangeetha Sumarajan, Hyderabad II Branch, India
I once went to his Ward in SLC. It was awesome to be in the presence of a man
who has been in the presence of the Lord. He was so human and smiled when the
speaker was talking about being his Home Teacher. Let us serve his memory as we
spread the word of the restoration.
President Gordon B. Hinckley is one of the most beloved of prophets this Church
has known. He will be greatly missed by all of us as members of this Church and
by a great many who are not. Perhaps he shall be remembered most by the great
mission and work accomplished under his direction and leadership over the past
12+ years that literally has brought The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints "out of obscurity and out of darkness" unto the greater understanding
and respect of many in the world. President Gordon B. Hinckley, as a result of
the great mission he fulfilled, is almost as familiar a figure to those outside
of the Church as to those who comprise its membership. May his family and close
friends and associates be comforted and rejoice in the great example and legacy
he has left behind for all of us to benefit from. The great temple-building
program, the expanded humanitarian relief effort and the Perpetual Education
Fund are just a few of the many things accomplished under his leadership that
now bless the lives of so many. I thank the Lord for His great Prophet and
those yet to follow.
What a remarkable legacy he has left behind. His passing is a gentle reminder
for us all to reflect on his good life and example and try to be kinder and more
Christ-like in all that we do as he has so many times admonished us. What a
tremendous leader and servant. When he spoke, you knew that his love
for the members of the church and for the Lord was unwaivering. His enthusiasm
was infectious and his encouragement, much needed and appreciated. We love him
and will miss him.
Thank you for your life, your love and example. We are all indeed better people
because of you.Although words can't explain our love and
All of our three children ranging in age from 17 to 26 feel like he is their
prophet. He will be greatly missed. His optimism, love, and enthusiasm are
unprecedented. We all shed a tear but we rejoice in the knowledge of the
restored gospel and the great reunion he is having now with his loved ones. We
will always cherish his words that will live on in our hearts.
I was once in the company of our beloved prohet. He attended a sacrament
meeting without anyone knowing he was going to be there. What a thrill for all
of us. Our lives will go on, and the best way forward is to follow in the
footsteps of Gordon Bitner Hinkley, who, after all, was walking in the footsteps
of the Saviour. Could any path be clearer, easier maybe, but never clearer.
The Saints in this part of Spain join in sadness for our loss, and in joy for
heavens gain. Goodnight, and God Bless, president Hinkley.
Having only spent an hour or so of my life in President Hinckley's presence,at
the Nottingham Stake building several years ago now, I truly come to know, by
the witness of the Holy Spirit that he was a truly honest man, who served us and
God with all his heart and soul.I send my love and blessings to his family
and those who knew him in his long and faithful life!
This week we will mourn the loss of President Hinckley, but we also celebrate
his life. He truly loved the Savior and the people of the world, not just the
people of the Church but the whole world. He was a prophet of God! We will miss
President Hinckley, but we know his influence carries on. We love
The sorrow is great we are feeling. The Legacy you have left is now ours to
carry forward. Your amazing life of service to the Lord sets the example for
our lives. Thankyou so very much for everything you have done for the world,
the church and each individual person, you loved and cared for all of us. We
love you, honor you and hope to carry on the integrity of the Lord's work on the
earth. May your reunion be tremendous and our prayers are with you and Sis
I am so greatful to know president Gordon B. Hinkley. He is a true servant of
God, his lifelong service in the church but also helping those who are less
fortunate, the humanitarian effort, and counsel of being prepared at all time
spiritually but also temprally. I've being blessed to heard from him two weeks
ago in our Stake conference through satelite as he spoke to us about marriage
and be more tolerable of each other and be more kind, patient and love for one
another. I will forever remember him for his faith and great humor during
general conference. May the spirit of the Lord comfort his family and closes
frineds and all the members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
around the world as we morn together the passing of our beloved Prophet Gordon
Bitner Hinkley. We will missed you until we meet again.love,The Seilers,(Henry,Olisem,Daniel,Sheryl)

While serving in Japan from 1958 to 1961 Pres. Hinckley toured our mission 3
times as an assistant to the twelve, one time he gave me advice, "find a good
nisei girl and marry her", which I did. And when I did, I asked if he would
marry us, which he did in the SL Temple. Many years later, he visited our Stake
Conference in Pleasanton, CA, he leaned over to our stake president and said "I
know that man". We have a nice photo of him with 5 of our 6 children (our
youngest was not born yet). He certainly has been our most favorite general
It was an honor to have been in his presence at the Sacramento Temple
dedication. Our ward had BYD at my home when the phone call came.... I had to
announce to 22 youth and adults that our prophet of the lord had passed. It was
very sad and yet we all were assured that Gordon was being embraced by his wife
once again and by Heavenly Father. His humor, the waving of his cane will
See you soon Dear President Hinckley. Fraternally, F. J.
Cazorla-Granados Melilla, Spain (in North Africa), European Union.
Enjoy your eternity, President Hinckley. Though not because of your own
actions, however great they most certainly were, but because of the Atonement of
our loving Saviour, may you find never-ending joy with your loved ones now and
forever. How beautiful is the man that acknowledges the sacrifice made by our
Lord Jesus Christ, and demonstrates his love for Him through the relentless
pursuit to be like Him, and to help others to do the same. I am in awe at the
level of your personal faith that your mortal existence so gracefully
demonstrated for the rest of the world to learn from.
From Baguio City, Philippines: We Thank Thee, O God, For A Prophet, President
Hinckley. We'll surely miss our Prophet Dear, but we rejoice - he's HOME AT
LAST! His Life and Teachings touched our lives and helped us to 'endure many
things' and hope to withstand more challenges to come.
It was great to have had the chance to meet you in person during our dedication
of our Temple. In Orlando, what a memory that will stay with me for the rest of
my life. You have spoke many good words during conference time. I'm going to
miss that. My love to your Children and family at this time of departing from us
to meet of Lord the Reedmer. Love and Aloha.
You do not have to agree with President Hinckley, his followers or their church,
but out of respect for the individual, maybe voicing your opinions should have
been saved for a more appropriate venue. This is one of the problems with our
society in general; there is no respect for anything and we focus only on self
gratification. Have we all grown so far away from basic human compassion that
we cant even acknowledge that he was a human being who has passed and morn the
loss? It would have been just as easy to say nothing or better yet, not have
read the article and comments. You have wasted more time reading comments and a
story that neither of you obviously care about, so why, maybe to get a reaction
and attention? I really do feel sorry for the two of you and the world we live
in!God Bless you President Hinckley! Heres to a life of dedication
and sacrifice that exemplifies true humanity and is greatly appreciated by many.
Hope you are having a joyous reunion with your family!WayneFt. Worth, TX
I am so thankful to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father for
allowing us to have with us such an insightful, loving, kind, sweet humored,
thoughtful man as we found in Pres. Gordan B. Hinkley. Who showed us by his
actions to never give up no matter what life throws at you. Thank you
Pres. Hinkley for all of your time and service. Thank you Hinckley family for
sharing him with all of us. His life and example will never be forgotten. We

HIM,MOST ESPECIALLY IN OBEYING GODS COMMANDMENTS.I STILL REMEMBER HIS TALK IN A

FOR SURE IS,WE WILL SEE HIM AGAIN IF WE OBEY THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD AND FOLLOW
President Hinckley was/is such an example for all of us. He was optomistic in
the face of challenge and doomsdayers and was faithful to the end. How can any
of us strive to do less. I can only imagine the shout of joy that went up when
he walked through the veil and was met by so many he loved and who loved him.
What a resume he had to take with him. Thank you President Hinckley for your
life and the service you so freely gave. We love you and look forward to a
Truly the mantle of exemplary leadership, wisdom, and prophethood has passed
over the head of a great prophet to the one whose right it is to succeed him.
President Gordon Bitner Hinckley has indeed lived, loved, and left an enduring
legacy for millions yet unborn to emulate from generation to generation! We will always miss a great and humblest of all humankindness!
