5 KJ Hall, quarterback, Maple Mountain

Hall ran the ball 16 times for 138 yards while completing 6 of 15 passes for another 67 yards in the Golden Eagles' 35-22 win over Morgan.

4 Kyle Zundel, quarterback, Bear River

Zundel ran the ball 14 times for 160 yards and threw for another 71 yards and two touchdowns on 6-of-11 passing. Bear River defeated North Sanpete 27-12.

3 Francis Bernard, running back, Herriman

Bernard only carried the ball 13 times, but gained 112 yards and scored four touchdowns in the Mustang's 49-21 victory over Orem.

2 Austin Kafentzis, quarterback, Jordan

Kafentzis is likely to show up consistently on this list throughout the year and started out 2012 with two rushing and three passing touchdowns. He threw for 285 yards on 17-of-24 passing and rushed the ball 16 times for 112 yards in Jordan's 53-12 blowout win over Fremont.

1 Skyler Munson, wide receiver, Pleasant Grove

Munson expressed excitement about coach Les Hamilton's new pass-happy offense, and it's easy to see why. Munson caught 10 passes for 214 yards and a state record five touchdowns in the Vikings' 52-25 victory over Kearns.
