The Cal Olsen-designed CasaBlanca Golf Club plays like a resort course — challenging enough for low handicappers yet still enjoyable for beginners or occasional golfers. According to course pro Kyle Campbell, golfers at CasaBlanca get the country club atmosphere but with public golf course accessibility.

7 Conestoga Golf Course

Conestoga Golf Course, managed by Troon Golf, offers spectacular views in every direction. And with five tee boxes on every hole, it is challenging for players of all abilities. “It has everything a golfer is looking for,” says course pro Rob Krieger. Artfully designed, the course plays off the unique contours of Sun City’s landforms.

6 Falcon Ridge Golf Course

The Falcon Ridge Golf Course, built along the natural terrain of the valley, features several elevated tee boxes, always popular among both novices and experts alike. According to course pro Brian Wursten, the front nine lends itself to lower scores while the back nine offers more challenge — and potential heartbreak.

5 Oasis Golf Club — The Canyons

The Canyons course is comprised of the Vistas nine and the new Arroyo nine. According to head pro Adam Schwartz, the front nine is similar to the Palmer Course with its many elevated tee boxes and risk-reward opportunities. The back nine, wider and more forgiving, offers a great opportunity to post a low score.

4 Oasis Golf Club — The Palmer

This Arnold Palmer-designed course was featured on the Golf Channel’s “Big Break: Mesquite.” According to head pro Adam Schwartz, holes 5-8 comprise possibly the best four-hole stretch in Mesquite. Both visually intimidating yet majestic, the Palmer Course poses a test of patience and accuracy.

3 Palms Golf Club

The Palms may be in the middle of the desert, but once on the course golfers will see a course lush and inviting, with a variety of challenging holes and unobstructed views. According to course pro Ken Turner, it’s one of the best values around. The 15th hole features a vertical drop of 114 feet from tee box to fairway — and an incredible view.

2 The Chase at Coyote Springs

This Jack Nicklaus Signature Course is considered by some to be one of Jack’s finest desert courses. Says SI’s Gary Van Sickle, “No words arranged by me can paint the epic sweep and isolation of The Chase. ... It’s a daily-fee course that feels like your own private desert. More than just a golf course, it’s a golf experience.”

Wolf Creek is ranked No. 22 in the top-100 public golf courses in America by Golf Digest, and is one of the few courses in Mesquite sans housing.
