8 Alabama 24, Arkansas 20

Top-ranked and defending national champion Alabama rallied with an interception and a return just short of the goal that the Tide converted into game-winning points. This game and a loss to Auburn were the only losses on the season for Arkansas. The series features a long history and spirited rivalry. (Sept. 25)

7 Nebraska 51, Oklahoma State 41

Visiting Nebraska outlasted Oklahoma State 51-41, handing Oklahoma State its first loss. The offensive contest featured 1,035 yards and 11 touchdowns. Nebraska QB Taylor Martinez rushed for 112 yards and passed for 323 yards and five scores, including the game winner with 4:29 remaining on the clock. (Oct. 23)

6 LSU 33, Florida 29

Playing in front of more than 90,000 at "The Swamp" in Florida, the Tigers capped a game-winning drive with six seconds left for an improbable victory. The final drive included converting a fake field goal for a first down after Florida scored and LSU trailed with three minutes left. (Oct. 9)

5 Wisconsin 31, Iowa 30

With both teams lurking just outside of the Top 10 in this Big 10 slugfest, Wisconsin used a 15-play, 80-yard drive and scored with 66 seconds left to land the final blow and get the win. (Oct. 23)

4 Stanford 37, USC 35

Stanford's QB Andrew Luck helped the Cardinal down the field in the final minute to allow Nate Whitaker to kick a 30-yard game-winning field goal as time expired. A win against PAC-10 and perennial national power USC announced that Stanford was legitimate. Luck was 20 of 24 for 284 yards and three touchdowns. (Oct. 9)

3 Oklahoma 47, Oklahoma State 41

This was a rivalry game that happened to feature two highly ranked opponents, and then Landry Jones completed 37-of-61 passes for 467 yards and four touchdowns to lead No. 13 Oklahoma to a wild 47-41 victory over rival No. 9 Oklahoma State. It got close late when Justin Gilbert ran a kickoff back 89 yards to pull the Cowboys within 40-38 with three minutes left, but Jones tossed a deep touchdown pass, this one going to James Hanna for 77 yards, to put the game away. 2 Nevada 34, Boise St. 31

Boise led 24-7 at halftime, but Nevada put the game into overtime and converted on a field goal after two BSU misses, one after a long pass that had the Broncos poised for a win. This was Nevada's first win over a Top 10 team ever, but it cost the WAC a probable BCS payday and saved the BCS from significant controversy. Ignoring the off-field ramifications, this was a great game between ranked teams with everything at stake. (Nov. 26)

Cam Newton delivers for Auburn to keep national title, undefeated season and Heisman hopes alive in a rivalry game that matches any in the country. Facing a fourth-and-one at their own 37, with three minutes remaining, Auburn's Newton leaped over a pile of defenders for a first down that allowed Auburn to run off precious time and hold on after trailing much of the game.
