Angie's list, a site that lets users rate, research and hire local service providers, released its "Naughty and Nice" list of companies based on consumer reviews. The "naughty list" is the top business sectors that have received the most complaints. The number one sector has been the reigning champion for seven consecutive years. Check out which is at the top. 10 Travel Agencies

Example complaint on the site:
"This online travel site advertised low rates for hotels in cities around the U.S. On Jan. 31, 2011 I paid for a 6 night stay at the Westin Moana Surfrider, Waikiki, Hawaii. As my stay began on May 12, 2011, I called the number they gave me 4 days prior to departure, to confirm my reservation. The operator said I was "all set" on the phone, but when I arrived in Hawaii, they had cancelled my reservation. I had to pay for the hotel room twice. They have NOT refunded my money from the first time I paid. The will NOT even respond to my emails. The people at Westin, who do business with this group, say they can do nothing."

“The photographer showed up late for the ceremony site, her equipment was dirty causing dirty spots to end up on most of the pictures. The quality of the photos were disappointing. We had a friend who was able to use Photoshop and fix up a number of the shots just so we could use them.”

"The Port charged me hidden fees and for days waiting for their services. The boatyard has extremely dirty. I was constantly bothered by homeless people wanting work. Marijuana smoke could be smelled everywhere and in almost evry business surrounding the Boat Haven boatyard. It's appalling how illegal drug use was ignored by a government agency."

"DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. They are dishonest and will rip you off if at all possible. [The company] sold my car and refused to pay me the amount I was due as per our contract. Even after winning a small claims judgement, he won't pay. AVOID!!!!!!"

"The cleaning of our rental home was done in Dec, 2009. In January, 2010, we asked for a bill for services rendered and again that same month. We asked for a bill for services in person, to two seperate employees, in February. We asked again, via email in March. Each time we were told that "the other employee was taking care of it". In May, the company had the nerve to contact us to state that they would be withholding rent checks they receive from our second property until the bill had been paid in full. We reminded them that they have yet to provide us with a bill and that's when they stopped taking our calls or responding to emails."

"I mailed a payment to the wrong place about 2 or 3 months ago. They call me 3 to 5 times a day. They have told me many times that I am lazy. I have then since fixed where I send it to and they still call me. They are being very rude to me on the phone. I don't think that companies should talk to customers like that."

"Wow! Where do I start? Ever since I moved to this area in 06/2010, I've had the absolute worst connections you could imagine...I've had dial-up work faster. I, at first, accepted it, but after talking to my neighbors, they had the same problems.I was tired of paying $50 a month for no service. So, I called them for help and I just got the run-a-round. This went on for months. At a certain point, I just gave up and just accepted it."

"I would NOT waste my money with this Company. I have a Plumbing problem with a shower and was told that the only thing they covered was the pipes. Then they assigned a Contractor. Being new to the area after I hung up I looked up the Contractor they assigned on Angies List and also the Better Business Bureau and found that they had a "D" rating on Angies List and an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau. I called [the home warranty company] back promptly and cancelled the work order and told them what I found. The response was 'You can't believe everything you read on Angies List or the Better Business Bureau sites.'"
