9. Pleasant Grove

2013 record: 9-3. 2013 playoffs: Lost to Jordan 62-42 in quarterfinals

13. American Fork

2013 record: 6-4. 2013 playoffs: Did not qualify.

14. Syracuse

2013 record: 8-2. 2013 playoffs: Lost to Lone Peak 21-13 in 5A first round

15. Corner Canyon

2013 record: 6-6. 2013 playoffs: Lost to East 59-10 in 4A quarterfinals

Outlook: The potential is there for this team to be really, really good with 10 starters returning on both sides of the ball, but there’s a lot of work ahead as evidenced by last year’s 49-point loss to East in playoffs.

19. Bountiful

2013 record: 5-6. 2013 playoffs: Lost to Logan 22-17 in 4A first round

2013 record: 11-2. 2013 playoffs: Beat Pine View 27-21 in 3AA championship

21. Alta

2013 record: 5-6. 2013 playoffs: Lost to Lone Peak 41-22 in 5A quarterfinals

25. Northridge

2013 record: 4-6. 2013 playoffs: Lost to Riverton 31-14 in 5A first round

Outlook: Despite being one of the smallest 5A schools in the state, Northridge always finds a way to compete in Region 1, and with Dayan Lake leading the offense and defense, that should again be the case.
