Contract statuses, summer plans and quotes from the 15 players on the Utah Jazz roster at the end of the 2013-2014 season.

Trey Burke

Years in the NBA: 1

Contract status: Signed to $2,548,560 contract for next season, with a team option through 2015-16.

Summer plans: Learning how to become a better leader for this team in the future.

Quotable: "We all look forward to getting better and coming back strong. … They asked me how committed I am and if I want to be the best player I can be, there's certain things I can do, which is working hard, staying focused, staying out of trouble and basically turning my weaknesses into strengths. … More importantly, the No. 1 thing is being more of a leader, being more of a vocal guy and everything else will take care of itself."

Alec Burks

Years in the NBA: 3

Contract status: Signed team option for 2014-15 ($3,034,356)

Summer plans: Will go back home to Kansas City and plans to "spend time with loved ones, have fun and work hard.''

Quotable: “I think I can become a great player in this league with my athletic ability and potential. I think I can be real good in this league.’’

Ian Clark

Years in the NBA: 1

Contract status: Team option of $816,482 for next season.

Summer plans: Work on his ball-handling, making the right reads on offense and getting stronger as he works out at home and in Santa Barbara, hoping to prove himself in the Las Vegas Summer League.

Quotable: "It's been great. Learning a lot from the guys on the team, learning stuff on the court and off the court has been good for me. I'll definitely take it for what it's worth later on."

Jeremy Evans

Contract status: Signed through 2014-15 ($1.8M)

Summer plans: Veteran has agreed to do another stint on the Junior Jazz tour and will also spend time in Arkansas with family.

Quotable: “I think it was huge just because I got minutes and I got to play. I felt like if I didn’t do it this year (show he could shoot, etc.), it was going to be the same thing, ‘All he is is a dunker.’ ”

Derrick Favors

Years in the NBA: 4

Contract status: Signed through 2017-18 ($47.5M extension)

Summer plans: Although he’s heading back to Atlanta for a couple of weeks, most of his summer will be in Utah. Other plans? “I’m still a kid, so I’m trying to get down to Disney World again."

Quotable: “I think this year I came (and) I showed a lot of people that I can be an option on the offensive end, I can do a lot of different things whether it’s scoring, whether it’s passing or whether it’s just playing through me on the offensive end.”

Diante Garrett

Years in the NBA: 2

Contract status: Team option of $915,243 for next season.

Summer plans: Working out in Milwaukee with other NBA players, including former Jazzman Wesley Matthews.

Quotable: "I think because it was my first year here, I wanted to do everything perfect and I wanted everything to go well. And I know sometimes where I was out there thinking too much where I actually wasn't playing basketball. But I can learn from that, and I think I'll be better."

Rudy Gobert

Years in the NBA: 1

Contract status: Signed to $1,127,400 contract for next season with team option through 2016-17. Summer plans: Going back to France for a short time to train, then returning to the U.S. and working to get his body stronger, especially his legs, and trying to get quicker.

Quotable: "I learned a lot, learned a lot. It's a pretty tough league with the best players in the world. I would say I liked it, I liked it, but just try to get better with my play. … I just can't wait for the next season and summer league, maybe more playing time."

Gordon Hayward

Years in the NBA: 4

Contract status: Restricted free agent

Summer plans: Busy offseason includes his upcoming marriage, a camp in the Philippines, training in Indiana and Santa Barbara, and Team USA tryout in July.

Quotable: “Utah has been great for me. It’s a business. I understand it’s a business and whatever happens, happens (with my contract). That’s why you have an agent. I can’t thank everybody in Utah enough for what they’ve given me so far, so we’ll take it from there.”

Richard Jefferson

Years in the NBA: 13

Contract status: Unrestricted free agent

Summer plans: No specific plans other than to relax after playing in all 82 games this year.

Quotable: “The future is bright here. You look at Alec and Gordon and Derrick and Enes. The front office did a great job of putting together not only good players, but players with good character.’’

Contract status: Signed for 2014-15, non-guaranteed contract

Summer plans: Will take three weeks off before working out again and then prepare for his wedding in Jamaica in August.

Quotable: “It’s been a long year, but I’m looking for this next chapter in my life. I’m going to start a family, and I’m excited and ready for it.’’

Erik Murphy

Years in the NBA: 1

Contract status: Free agent

Summer plans: Continue to work on his ability to shoot the ball well, try to improve his quickness and proving himself in the Las Vegas Summer League.

Quotable: "I was excited to get picked up (by the Jazz) and then come here and got here and got to know the guys and it's a great group of young guys, so it was a good experience. … It's a great place to be. The team's really young and we're looking forward to improving. Just finding a role on this team is something that I'm trying to do and hopefully it'll happen this summer and then next season, and we'll see where it goes from there."

Brandon Rush

Years in the NBA: 6

Contract status: Unrestricted free agent

Summer plans: Going to Miami to work out and play a lot of games.

Quotable: “I didn’t feel I got enough chances this year, but RJ and Gordon and Alec were playing well the whole season, so I can see why I couldn’t break into the rotation."
